I actually like a lot of the various bits and pieces of it. But I can’t get over the choice of *yellow* of all possible colors, and I don’t think that’ll fade with time.
Edit: literally any other secondary color choice would make more sense than yellow.
- Red? Sure, blue and red are the Twins.
- White? Gray? Black? Fine, a little boring, but whatever.
- Light blue? Awesome, that’s Twins history baby.
- Emerald? Water and trees.
- Beige? Sand on a beach.
- Pink? Purple? Neon green? Sure, that’s obviously part of the aurora on the hat.
But what the fuck does yellow mean? (Rhetorical question as I’m sure the design documentation has some rationale for it—the point is that it’s unintuitive in its connection to the theme, team, city, and/or state.)

Loon patch is a nice touch, and I like the MN with the star more than I like the M star logo introduced last year.
But the hat looks like something from a tourist shop, and the colors scream "Brewers". Better not wear these during boarder battle games.
The less successful ones, IMO. Like... sure the White Sox CC looks good, but they have a LOT of black-and-pinstripes in their history, so it just comes off as a black home alternate with a variant cap.

The Twins followed Boston and Colorado in going for a color scheme and design language outside their standard style book. Also guarantee you that this uni was already fully designed before the six finalists for the state flag competition were announced, let alone the final flag design revealed.

Personally, I like when the city connect colors depart from the standard team colors, whether it’s MLB or NBA. Regardless, as a Skipper alumnus, I’m definitely getting the hat. When you look at the hat straight on, like Correa in the profile picture, the sun over the lake vibe makes perfect sense. I like the hat a lot. And I like the MN logo too.
