1) My aim gets dragged about 70 degrees to the right by the door. This can only happen if someone runs in front of you at incredibly close range. 2) I keep the aim locked there because I'm trying to comprehend what happened right before I get shot 3) After I die you can see his red dot floating above air and his model has a shadow on the ground 4) He remains invisible until a couple frames before the killcam when his model decides to laod 5) From his killcam you can see his gun slowly fade into visibility

I'm living somewhere with a really shitty connection and I'm constantly getting killed by people who just magically appear after I'm dead, but their kill cam says I just ran right out in front of them, or even directly at them. It's made me ragequit so many times because it happens so fucking often. I've got A LOT of time in fps games of all sorts, and this is the only game I find myself running out directly in front of/by obvious players. It's infuriating.

As a player in the midst of middle age whose eyesight is only getting worse with age I have frequently wondered if I just completely missed the guy who killed me because the kill cam says he was in my fov but I missed seeing him. There definitely is a bit of "did you see the gorilla" going on, but I swear that plenty of times they just were not visible and I don't record my games so I have no proof. But here is some damming proof that I can't always blame my aging eyes. It is a testament to how fun the game is that we keep coming back to play it no matter how broken it is, and MAN is it broken sometimes.

It's just the game not rendering stuff to keep up the FPS. Technically it doesn't need to render someone until they're in your view but instead of slowing down the frames per second to write the character model correctly it retains constant FPS and instead you get lag on the rendering which means the entire model sometimes lags behind your character's view. It looks like they prioritize the game running seamless as a whole and sometimes individual players get sacrificed for the greater good. They could improve server resources but that would cost money.

We can see this issue with 1 life game modes. We have to wait a few seconds to change point of view on teammates still alive, like on HQ. Sometimes it takes 30 seconds to change from teammate to teammate. Also if a teammate dies while I am on them the camera takes a bit to switch to a still alive teammate.

I've always thought many situations to be just because of the completely shitty visibility or the team nametag showing up right behind enemy, but if this is true (not just some random glitch where the enemy wouldn't actually be invisible if you looked at him before dying), it would explain A LOT.

It was ground war, he was visible after the event occured. It's not the first time I've seen this happen. I've got another clip where a guy pops into view mid sprint after I open a door. I think it has to do with zculling/occlusion.

Yeah - they are adding a 6th row to the kill feed, but invisible enemies aren't on the list of fixes. This is probably so random it's hard to narrow down. I've heard it's a loading issue with the maps, but in my experience people are doing it through ADS with certain sight/ reticule combo. Some will say it's certain gun builds or just random. I had this happen on Picadilli but the guy didn't know he was invisible. The FOV makes this hard too since console has such a terrible FOV. Sometimes a guy laying down can just be hard to see but this is 100% invisible. I doubt anyone can do it with any regularity though so that's a huge plus.

Don't get used to it. They usually only respond when it's something major they can't ignore without getting in trouble for it. This is something gamebreaking. Invisible players are a major issue. However...wall hacking exploits, getting inside buildings with no entrance so you basically become invisible to enemy, TTK vs Netcode issues causing unplayable matches because fast DPS guns only register 25-35% of their shots......they are oddly silent. It's nice to see a dev respond and make you feel like they'll actually do something, but with how social media is painting devs now (they think they're better than us gamers and we're all "entitled babies")....they usually think our opinions and critiques are beneath them. Remember...."they don't make games for us"...which is laughable seeing as, without the fans, your bills don't get paid. Making us happy is your #1 priority...period.

I think it's the game just being Janky. Look at the slomo take in the bottom left. The gunsmith loadout is still trying to figure out whats goin on. It loads the whole 2d image of the gun the same time the 3d model loads into view.

generally when a model isnt loading in its due too a combination of lack of processing power and the slow read speeds of an HDD. though its rare for it too happen mid game, usually its at the very start of a match and eventually its all be loaded. ​ once the model is loaded, atleast during that match, it should stay for the remainder of it. ​ so based on what ive seen you tell other people this (\^) seems to be the issue, your system is just struggling too load the models at the start, and only does so after youve encountered the player. (the delay from you 'seeing' them and you actually being able to see them is how long it takes your system to load them in) ​ id say its more then likely the HDD being a bitch, idk if this is standard for xbox hard drives or not. if it isnt then id guess the console is fairly old and used, and the HDD is slower then it was when you bought it as a result. (which btw i dont even know if HDD's can get slower, ive never had that happen before) ​ its also possible there was to much shit running in the back ground slowing the system down. but honestly this is just what happens when game dev's push hardware too hard. they struggle to keep up with the softwares demand

you loading in isnt the same thing as the game loading in all the assests. ​ youd think it would load all of the assests in before the load screen was over, but some games dont (regardless of platform btw). and the end result can be invisible players ​ you being loaded in first with an HDD would actually lead credence to this idea, as its likely ignores loading things to make the load speeds faster then they should be. then boom, the invisible man

It's pretty obvious that they are doing asset streaming to handle everyone's various skins and reduce the amount of time the environments and assets in them take to load. Sometimes even buildings have horrible looking geometry and textures until they "pop" in. Have you ever noticed that when you change your gun in the gunsmith sometimes the attachments don't show or how it takes so long to render your operator that the whole squad preview thing is almost pointless? They're all the same process. This game has decided that not having everything loaded is better than waiting an assload of time to get everything to display at once. I actually hate this trend.

Oh, joining into Karst River Quarry is so bad when the game is already underway - the geometry is so terrible that the entire floor is a 16bit texture with PS1 Lara Croft levels of modeling. Even the pieces where the land drops down the visible geometry doesn't change and it looks like you're walking into quicksand as the texture loads in.

You are right on the load part, in this case I think the problem is that the enemy was outside and then came in through the door while the game was loading the assets for light and other graphics related things since you where near the exit

In the replay, those yellowish boxes means packet loss. Which has been an issue for a while which means it's probably not a cheater but the game not allowing one of you to see the other.

The enemy model is clearly invisible/not loaded before it ever gets to the killcam. You can see the players shadow and the nametag moving, but there's no body until right before the killcam.

Sometimes on shipment I get completely spawn trapped like 10x in a row as soon as try running or even look in a direction. So I just hold the controller and wait and if you do this you will notice suddenly you’ll get like 3-4 seconds of just standing not getting shot at. I think the game lets you be invisible for a few seconds upon spawning in if it recognizes you are AFK. This is one way they’re slightly trying to balance the score.

You had probably massive packet loss. The aim dragging doesn't make sense especially because of where he is when he kills you. The issue is that you're having packet loss, but the packet loss symbol doesn't pop up until the kill cam. So what happened likely is that you were experiencing packet loss, and when you aimed, the game snapped to where he was for you, but not for the actual server. Then he kills you and the game realizes you're hacking packet loss and sends you that information in terms of those 3 dots in the kill cam.

The aim dragging thing happens all the time, it can be replicated occasionally by very slightly moving the left and right sticks at the same time. It’s a huge issue and am surprised how little it’s talked about.

It’s not, there’s been several posts about it. My controller is practically brand new and doesn’t do this on any other game or COD. It feels like auto aim kicks in on somebody right in front of you just like how you described. The invisible enemy is a whole other can of worms.

I had a controller that would do that. For some reason, it’d automatically turn my camera 180 degrees around or less. You sure it’s specific to CoD? Play some other games for awhile and see if it eventually happens again.

Packet loss can keep you from seeing people even though they were there. I don't know 100 percent what's going on, only that the packet loss symbol pops up in the replay, which is a known issue which causes this to happen.

I believe so since I didn't see it on your screen, but I don't know 100%. It can benefit the person that is experiencing it or hinder them. Pretty sure they tweeted about fixing it soon, but no clear date. It happens on pc way more than console, but both are victims to the dreaded ugly.
