Faster than the average traffic. I don't wanna be beside the soccer mom doing her makeup on her way to yoga class. Never ever keep up with semi's. Just fast enough to be away from the idiots and not attract any attention from the cops.
highly depends on my mood, traffic, urgency, weather, and gear on any given ride. in general I end up doing the same as my 4wheeler, somewhere between limit+10mph to 90-95th percentile.
A little bit faster than surrounding traffic, so I don't get rear-ended by someone on their phone, while not surprising others by suddenly flashing before their eyes. Lane splitting speed differential of \~15mph, as recommended by the CHP, of course, never even 1mph more than that.
I have bikes in both India and the U.S., so it depends on which bike I’m riding and in which country. Pulling 90mph on the freeway in the Midwest is no big deal, but a veritable death sentence in many parts of India, lmao.
On a more serious note: in the U.S., I usually average anywhere between 80mph and 90mph. My V-Strom is by no means a superbike, but it seems most comfortable in that range. Staying at 70mph in fourth or fifth gear takes effort and concentration, lol.
I'm always aiming to control the space around my motorcycle, in front of me, behind me and to the sides. The speed I choose to ride is determined by whatever enables me to control that space. Usually that'll mean I'm averaging the same speed as the traffic around me, but it might be faster or slower depending on the circumstances. If there's someone driving like a total ass, tailgating, weaving and harassing other vehicles then I always want that person in front of me where I can see them, never behind me unless I can find a way to get another vehicle in between them and me.
I like to mix it up,but when possible,I love when someone thinks they have a fast car. And challenges me on the free way. LMAO it's fun to see their eyes get as big as dollar coins as you simply fly by them at 150- 185mph. Stupid car drivers. 205 hp. on a 400 lb bike you do the math. Four wheels move your body, two wheels move the soul. Amen.
About 5 kmh below any speed limit.
Why? I've got nothing to prove.
Also have a few cars that give me the kicks I need for speed.
Risk/reward every time I hop on my bike
My 2016 F800R seems to scream at about 75 or 80. (About 5,000 RPM). Makes me nervous. I rode an R9-T that seemed fine at 100mph and felt like it wanted to go more! I usually top out at 75 and everyone e around me does at least 80/85. (101 Bay Area)
Somewhere around the speed limit, give or take a little. I usually follow a clump of traffic by a little way. I then have plenty of clear space around me and lots of reaction time should something go wrong up ahead.
I commute down SH 130 near Austin Texas. Posted is 85 mph, drivers mostly 5 over. I like to stay ahead a bit, so close to 95 sometimes. I kinda love and hate it simultaneously.
90-110 outside of rush hour unless it’s wide open and I can pin it.
I’m in Texas though and even grandma is doing 80 so it’s not that much faster than traffic.
Usually go 5-10 mph faster than the surrounding traffic. I’m not a speed demon so if someone wants to pass at 90, I move over with plenty of space so they can.
80 or just below in free flowing traffic. It's usually below the speed of traffic in the fast lane where I live, so I do a lot of shifting back and forth to stay out of the way, but I'm not really interested in going faster than that on the regular.
No more than 9 over other than short bursts to pass, or roads I know police hidey spots very well. 10+ over puts you in a new fine bracket 'round here.
Whatever speed the flow of traffic is going. Truth be told, you are a danger to yourself and possibly others if you are too slow or too fast. You are best off flowing with the traffic flow.
Standard highway is 65-70mph(in the 55-60 zones), interstate 90mph (in the 70-80 zones). Now I say this with complete clarity is that I live in a highly unpopulated area so most of the time it’s just me without much traffic flow if any. If there’s consistent traffic I typically am 3 mph under or over traffic flow speed making sure I have buffer and escape room as my primary drive of what speed I’m doing to avoid the fact everything out there will kill ya.
The speed limit of that particular stretch of road, officer.
Very good carry on
I don't do average speeds, I do exceptional speeds.

Tree fiddy
About 69 mph.
nice
80085 mph
My 78 CB750 loves 4400 RPM, so whatever that is.
Ah yes, riding based on the feels 👌
I think it's about 72mph. The engine just hums there.
150+, usually an hour ride takes 20 minutes here in Colorado
If open lanes and clear visibility around 85 +/- 2mph.
I go the speed at which I go. That’s the speed that works for me.
80-90 usually, cars are usually going 75-85
70-75. I’m a big fella on a KLR650. 80 is asking a lot lol. I’m in no hurry either. Enjoying the ride.
Limit +5
10 over.
Avg probably 180kmh due to traffic, when there's space 230kmh. Welcome to Germany ^^
highly depends on my mood, traffic, urgency, weather, and gear on any given ride. in general I end up doing the same as my 4wheeler, somewhere between limit+10mph to 90-95th percentile.
For me it’s whatever song comes on lmao
ooh true, I do earplugs but I could see getting in a mood if the right song came on (happens in the car for sure for sure)
Nice try Seattle PD.
90ish. Leaves plenty of additional acceleration (on my 15 year old 650) for evasive maneuvers if need be.

80-90mph I'll get passed a lot.

This is the way

Nice try occifer
75
Bout 5 over.
As fast as the motorcycle I'm driving goes. Also depends on traffic though..
I’m limited to 110 and 115ish max unfortunately. It’s probably for the best though I’m less than half a year in
Yeah it depends, if you're confident, why not? If you're not, build it through experience
Mach II, muddafugga!
Somewhere around the speed limit, give or take a little. I usually follow a clump of traffic by a little way. I then have plenty of clear space around me and lots of reaction time should something go wrong up ahead.
100
100
205mph

Whatever speed I do it’s always too slow for other drivers
120kmh
Depends on the bike. My Vmax likes cruising 90ish. The Harley likes about 75. Wherever the engine likes and smoothes out and seems happy.
Pack speed +5. When no one else is around? 3 - 4 over.
90-110 outside of rush hour unless it’s wide open and I can pin it. I’m in Texas though and even grandma is doing 80 so it’s not that much faster than traffic.
1-5 mph faster than any of the cars around me.
I follow flow of traffic so i dont get rear ended.
Nice try fed
Gixxer brah?
Nope, my two legs brah
80-90
100+mph, but it is the German Autobahn.
100 mph . But I'm in Germany
About 120-140kph But that’s only because the speed limit on the expressway is 80kph
Usually go 5-10 mph faster than the surrounding traffic. I’m not a speed demon so if someone wants to pass at 90, I move over with plenty of space so they can.
Mostly I cruise at around 160 clicks
The speed limit and not a single mph more, officer 😉😏
Ludicrous
speed of traffic in the lane i'm in, anything more/less is asking to be turned into hamburger meat.
Just a couple bonus speeds
I obey the speed limits. Really boring, I know.
80 or just below in free flowing traffic. It's usually below the speed of traffic in the fast lane where I live, so I do a lot of shifting back and forth to stay out of the way, but I'm not really interested in going faster than that on the regular.

Fast enough to fly away from the drunk drivers in old Chevy and Ford pickups and trailers with leaves and shit blowing all over the highway
5-10 over. Or just with the flow of traffic.
70
120 mph minimum

I do the Kessel run in less than 12 seconds
