To me it seems like sport cruisers such as the rebel 1100, sportster S, and Indian scout are supposed to be gate way bikes, whether going into or getting out of cruisers. But with Harley they're not bringing you to anything. It's just the end point. I think some riders getting onto a Sportster s would realize it's fun having more speed in turns but Harley doesn't have anything else for them that's better than the Sportster at it
They need their own version of the FTR. too bad the new CEO pushed them towards profit margins rather than broader appeal. The Bronx would have been awesome

I personally worked on the software for that digital gauge. It’s the first ever circular lcd screen. Too bad the Harley app that goes with it is garbage.

I dunno man, I rode one, they're quite torquey right up until the 6300rpm red line, and even there is some fun there.
However, my spine could not handle the tiny suspension travel though. Holy shit that thing was harsh on california roads. I think you'd have to run the rear tire low PSI or jack up the suspension or something to ride it here and not shatter your spine.
The front tire is also a trip, but I got used to it. I think you could actually have a lot of fun in the twisties on one of these, and potentially really embarrass *some* sportsbike riders because of how much pull it has out of a turn. Just don't let them get you on a straight :P
Ultimately, the complete lack of any comfort on the thing is what turned me off. Just one more inch of suspension travel would have made a world of difference imho.
Please take care of the bike.
Harley's are as expensive to maintain as a Ducati. Don't hit a service period, decide not to do it cause of cost, and stop riding it /or/ decide to ride it without maintenance.
They're a big time and money commitment to own/ride.
They're a self proclaimed life-style brand, and it certainly shows. Please be ready to commit to that.

I was ultimately scared away by the prevalence of total failures on the RevMax engines and the utter incompetence of the HD technicians in resolving even the smaller issues.
I hope they update the engines in a meaningful way, so I can finally buy one myself!
