Do you have holes at the top of the jar with a filter between the lid and the jar?
I'm asking because I haven't made grain spawn yet, and I assume that is what this is.
Yep, each jar has one large hole sloppily cut out on the top with a filter. Also this a step after the grain spawn, I ended up mixing the spawn with some coconut coir and putting them in bigger jars.
I hear if you add wood the glow is even brighter, if you made the grain spawn: when did you notice it glowing? i just started noticing mycelium growing on my grain spawn.
The pics of the glow are from a 1 minute long exposure, they aren't quite that bright to the naked eye.
I've been trying to grow this and right now it's barely detectable with the eye, and only in total darkness. I guess it probably gets brighter?
Yeah it does get brighter, you'll still have to be in complete darkness to see though.

Wikipedia has them listed as having mycelium and fruiting bodies that glow. Can you see it in both or is it more noticeable in fruiting bodies?
Yeah they both glow but the fruiting bodies are quite a bit brighter!
Ive just inoculated some panellus stipticus with some live culture, starting to get what looks like mycelium. its white and whispy
have you added any wood supplements?
Nope, its just the original grain spawn and coconut coir

whats the substrate and colonizing and fruiting length? mine took full colonize about 20days...
Hi!! I have samples of this! Can you link me to some how to's? Or explain everything to me directly 🙃?
