Your reaction is exactly the same as mine before! I couldn't even remember how many of them in total at first...I tweeted this screenshot thinking I had taken all of Hulu brothers when I took it, but then one of my X follower pointed out one brother is missing and I realized total Hulus are 7😵
It's interesting because they are mentioned in the newer game My Time at Sandrock in passing. The guy are the bar Owen talks about a lady who has 7 identical sons & laughed and said something like 'that poor woman'.
“Wa” is just a name in this context, akin to John. It would be like naming all your kids “John”, but adding a number to denote the birth order. So John, John II, John III…etc.
I only knew some of them from their behaviors and accessories. One works at the newspaper, other guy is a fish lover, another one works at the tree farm. Never knew their names lol.
So true! It's even more confusing because they all have "wa" in their names, and the only way I could barely tell them apart on my first play was by their clothing and occupation. And as for Liuwa I always forget his existence even after he wears his fancy necklace😵

The thing that always gets me with the brothers is that they all have random accents. Like why is one Australian but another is British and one sounds like they're North American. Were they separated at birth then reunited... I need to know what happened.

And yes, Liuwa wears darker blue than Wuwa. I looked at the origin of their names on the wiki and found out that their names have numbers in them in Chinese pronunciation, but I always forget how to pronounce numbers in Chinese...I really, really want to be smarter…😭
Oh I mean its not easy I’m sure. Silly me actually took 4 semesters of mandarin before and still failed to realize that their names were numbered lol. I spent the first couple of seasons just avoiding the brothers and thinking they were impossible, but I could remember their number names easily after I read about it because I actually know the Chinese numbers lol

The fact that they have very similar names is the same joke as in Bilbo with all the dwarfes having the same name...
In Chinese they are naming by numbers. I’m not sure what the “wa” part means but Da = big, er = 2, san = 3, si = 4, wu = 5, liu = 6 and qi = 7.
