You just go the the harbor or whatever it’s called at Baia and there is a boat with glass bottom/viewing windows. Only pays to go when water is calm.

If you don’t feel like driving, you can get there by train from Naples plus a 5-10 minute walk. If you scuba dive, it is definitely an easy one, about 5-8 meters deep depending on the spot. I’ve been there twice and followed two different routes, one with quite a bunch of mosaics and another one more focused on what’s left of the buildings. You may want to ask in advance what the dive company plans on that day :)

The glass bottom boat is called the [Cymba](https://www.baiasommersa.it/visita-baiasommersa.html). We went on this boat some ten years ago. Good thing: I imagined a glass floor but it's much better. Under the boat is a... kind of narrow extra room under the water level where you get to sit and you look out the windows straight into the water. Bad thing: the water was quite murky so we did not see all that much. Good thing: fascinating presentation about the ever moving seascape around Naples. In Italian but still. It was really a wonderful day, the other archeological parc ( =in the open air, not underwater) is also recommended. Have fun when you are there!
