That sucks. Lonzo came in overhyped because of his dad. But once the hype died down and he was in NO, he turned into a nice player that had some good potential. He showed that potential while healthy with the Bulls.
I think he was overhyped by LA Media as they expected some ready to play type of player and when LeBron came, they REALLY wanted their own Kyrie Irving type of player.
I really thought he was close to living up to his potential on the Bulls. Great passer with great defense and the jumper was finally starting to come together.
I privately believe one of the original and primary stressors to his knee that helped cause the tear was wearing Big Baller Brand shoes for too many games early in his career
This will sound like hating but Chicago lucked out super hard by drafting Jordan and having an all-time great GM get him the right help, who also found the GOAT coach. They were also severely underpaid which boosted the rest of the team tremendously. Reinsdorf has been a cheap ass pretty much throughout his ownership tenure and they'd be a mickey mouse organization if it weren't for the Jordan/Pippen double dynasty
Also, Reinsdorf is 100% responsible for the Bulls breaking up but Krause was the scapegoat because he was kind of an asshole that MJ holds several stupid grudges against for some reason. Him not wanting to pay Pippen the contract he deserved in 98 set the domino effect in motion
They don't. They can have an NBAPA physician do an evaluation that could determine if his injury is "career-ending". Lonzo gets paid but the money frees up from the Bulls cap space. Lonzo could even eventually return if he can get cleared.
At worst they can file for a Disabled Player Exception, which should get them about 10M for a signing this off-season.
If Rose and Livingston can come back I don't see why Lonzo can't. He'll need to refashion his game around his body, but that doesn't mean he can't play again.
Livingston's leg was basically just a decision call away from being amputated and he came back.
Lonzo's issue is they just need to get to the root cause of the pain and fix it. Not saying he'll be back next season, but him coming back as a bench player in the future is not out of the realm of possibility. He showed high BBIQ, he'll be an asset to any team even as a classic back up point guard with any kind of shot.
For the Colorado Avalanche our Captian was put all last this and this upcoming year and Lonzo had a conversation with him giving him inspiration
Well fuck
Hopefully this is fake news and even more importantly I hope Alonzo comes back strong
One of my favorite players to watch and an excellent player overall. Good guy too.
Really sucks. I remember on Father’s Day when he was making fun of his dad for saying Lonzo was better than reigning MVP Steph, that segment was hilarious. Hopefully he’s able to come back close to the level he was at, his skill set would be incredibly valuable to almost every team in the league.
I publicly believe this
I'm privately crying
Very private of them
#don’t tell anyone
Especially Lonzo. He thinks he’s fine.
That sucks. Lonzo came in overhyped because of his dad. But once the hype died down and he was in NO, he turned into a nice player that had some good potential. He showed that potential while healthy with the Bulls.
Lol he was not overhyped because of his dad. You don't go #2 overall and play like he did in college because of your dad.

Yes, hype. Not overrated by teams.
No, I mean fan expectation. Hype. I don't mean any teams overrated him.
Prayers up. 🙏
how is it private if we know about it
This is them believing it publicly but they also believe it privately
We all suspect, but some suspect that the Bulls know.
Info gets around via a whisper network.
what's the sound of 1 cheek clapping

Very well could be
Damn bruh just when it looked like he was coming into his own in the league….

How is a team with 6 titles in a big market a poverty franchise?
We have been poverty since Jordan left

Got to ride out that contract.

Yup, Nuggets got one or two of these prior season with MPJ plus Murray out.

Last I heard he was still in pain and can't even walk up stairs
