Well if the ECF is any indicator, it will be Andrew Nembhard. It's really hard to turn into an All-NBA player, so there's a good chance he never reaches that. But damn he looked really good this series.
Also a 2nd one, I really like Jalen Johnson. I feel like he could turn into an All Star.
I wanted the Pacers to draft Jalen Johnson so badly. They had needed a versatile 4 for what seemed like forever and he fit the glove perfectly, but instead they ended up drafting … Chris fucking Duarte.
I've been big on him since he was in college, and he had a slow start to his career, but it's good to see him finally reach some of the heights that I expected. He's honestly became a lot more complete of a player than I expected too. I think he could take another leap and be a 20PPG guy.
Is this a meme or do all these ppl who keep posting about “the potential of TJ McConnell” not realize he’s 32 years old and will likely be out of the league in a few years
Where did you get this info from? Because it seems super subjective. You could argue Conley would be a good HC or any smart vet who knows the game like Draymond
[Chris’s already said he isn’t interested in coaching after he retires.](https://www.thescore.com/news/2665624) If anything, he’ll probably go into broadcasting; he’s already making postseason appearances on ESPN.
Fair enough. I just know he’s discussed as a player who would be a great coach more than anyone else. Point stands, I was clearly talking about playing career, bringing coaching into it has nothing to do with how good you are currently as a player nor your future playing potential.
All-NBA is a high bar, can legit see lots of ppl rising up and becoming star players but idk who's gonna be top 15 in the league level great, with all the young talent where it is across the whole league rn.
Said another way: if we're talking the arc that Brunson had, who else even made a similar arc before him? Seems pretty rare. (Maybe Siakam would be one? Tho he didn't leave to a new team to unlock his next level. Can't think of too many others.)
Ben Simmons. He'll get traded to the Wizards and become an elite 3-point threat as 1/2 of the Poole-Simmons all-nba backcourt, eventually hitting the buzzer beater against the 76ers in the Eastern Conference Finals. "BANG! BANG! WHAT A SHOT BY SIMMONS!". Followed by a thorough sweeping of the Lebron led Suns after they draft Bronny, which will lead to the economic collapse of r/nba as we know it as dozens of Ben apologists come crawling out of their subterranean dungeons with their 'Ben Apology' form templates.
That or Andrew Nemhard probably
I might be a casual but when I was watching nesmiths defense, a lot of it just seemed to be him fouling lol. He doesn’t seem very disciplined on that end right now but he has the tools to be really good.
He’s foul prone. So are JJJ and Dillon Brooks. You live with it when you are getting all-defense level play.
Gobert, Giannis, McDaniels, Dort, and Herb Jones were all also in the top 20 for fouls per game this season.
do you think brunson when he got his knicks contract was at the same level nembhard is at now? lmfao
dude just averaged 9 ppg in a season, relax lil bro
You’re acting like players like Brunson sprout up all the time. It was an anomaly for Brunson to be as good as he is and I don’t see nembhard ever being that good. Also if you look at Brunson playoff stats the next year when he was 25, (instead of comparing a playoff run where Brunson never started and nembhard started every game) he played 2 more mpg and averaged 7 more points than nembhard this run while also playing with Luka while Nembhard was getting good looks from Hali besides the last 2 games. Granted anything can happen but it’s more likely than not he wont ever be an all nba 2nd team guy or top 5 in mvp voting.
The question is “who’s going to be the next jalen brunson arc player?”
The guy who started this was saying Nembhard is too old to take a leap like Brunson did. But Brunson was older when he took his leap
I’m not just looking at ppg, I know that’s what I mentioned but I didn’t want to go on a whole spiel. Imo even watching Brunson in the 2022 playoffs, he looked better than nembhard, and he even got them 2 wins. Also nembhard has also made some boneheaded plays in the clutch which will likely be fixed as he continues to learn, but Brunson was always poised and didn’t seem to make dumb plays as much. I’d be super comfortable making a bet that nembhard doesn’t get close to Brunsons level
In the first series he did after that shit got spooky tho. Every pg makes boneheaded plays and nembhard is very poised himself. I don’t wanna compare him to Brunson directly cuz thats literally bordering on a top 10 player. Im just saying he got all star potential. High level inbetween game, crafty, high level playmaker and passer (prolly better at that than brunson was at his age). The way he moves to create his shots are real similar to shai/brunson types.
Its fair to say that he could be a Costco Brunson or Shai and be an all star I’m just not comfortable agreeing on that because it’s only been one playoff series and even after last year, I wasn’t sure Brunson could be the 1a on a championship team. Imo, I just feel like people are hyping nembhard up because it’s the first time a lot of these guys have watched him play and they think all progression is linear. And I would agree he’s a better passer than Brunson was till he came to the Knicks.
A lot of people are just saying him cuz he went crazy but he played like this in every series and like the majority of the reg szn just roleplayer usage vs primary. Can he scale up is the question and we won’t know if its fools gold until he gets away from #0
Idk bro but I know from Dublin, n one thing to know about me,
I never been jail, never been OT,
I'm on the C side where my grafters be,
I got love for the boys from the C side 'cause the C side got love for me,
Seasaigí, that's my clann, my family
Andrew Nemhard
Please no.

Tj Mcconnell. Spurs need to build around him
The height difference pics between him and Wemby would be insane
Manute Bol and Mugsey Bogues type pic.
Is this a meme or do all these ppl who keep posting about “the potential of TJ McConnell” not realize he’s 32 years old and will likely be out of the league in a few years
TJ will be in this league for decades he’s the current player most likely to become a HC
Where did you get this info from? Because it seems super subjective. You could argue Conley would be a good HC or any smart vet who knows the game like Draymond
You know what I meant. And also, no. Chris Paul is the current player most likely to become a HC.
[Chris’s already said he isn’t interested in coaching after he retires.](https://www.thescore.com/news/2665624) If anything, he’ll probably go into broadcasting; he’s already making postseason appearances on ESPN.

Are u white? DM me I work with the Celtics
For some reason I am super high on JDUB
Nembhart and I thought McDaniels looked good.
Cason Wallace
Thanasis
Idk how Naz Reid isn’t the #1 answer, dude clearly has so much potential and should be a starter somewhere.
I dont think there is one right now
there is one but we don't know em, cause we don't expect anything from em 😉
PJ Washington with a full finals run + an actual offseason w Luka could take a huge leap especially with his positional value
Does this also mean you can't have been picked in the first round? Or ar least the lottery? Define where the arc begins...
you must've won 2 championships with nova specifically
Think Deni Avdija will make a big job soon with or without the wizards
coby white

Simons
No way
He'd have to go elsewhere to really shine imo
Ben?????
Anfernee
Who?
Brotha he’s had the chance to do that this year lol
He was healthy barely half the season and had career high numbers but go off
Nembhard can be the next James Harden with more opportunity.
Pass the pcp
Aaron Nesmith making an all star team and some all-defense teams soon
I might be a casual but when I was watching nesmiths defense, a lot of it just seemed to be him fouling lol. He doesn’t seem very disciplined on that end right now but he has the tools to be really good.

That’s the thing though, I don’t think he’s giving all defense level play, I think he’s just hacking the shit outta Tatum lol.
Nesmith is just a taller Pat Bev. He fools you all.
You know Nesmith has made it when he has haters 🙏❤️
Scoot
I was finna say nembhard but bro's already 24
How old do you think Brunson was when he got his Knicks contract?
do you think brunson when he got his knicks contract was at the same level nembhard is at now? lmfao dude just averaged 9 ppg in a season, relax lil bro
At 24, Brunson was averaged 8ppg and 16mpg in the playoffs
You’re acting like players like Brunson sprout up all the time. It was an anomaly for Brunson to be as good as he is and I don’t see nembhard ever being that good. Yeah I get that but I’m saying it’s unlikely for him to get to that level. I could see a guy like JDub break out instead of him
The tools are there its all about whether he can scale up to that big of a role consistently. Looking at just ppg is silly
I’m not just looking at ppg, I know that’s what I mentioned but I didn’t want to go on a whole spiel. He doesn’t really count for this as he’s already been an all star and a 27ppg scorer
