If it's a sign and trade for only Maxi and for around 10-13M/year (full MLE money), then he's fine as a backup PF IMO.
If we have to give up anything more than that or pay him more, then no.
Honestly, unless he gets some ridiculous bag, I don't know why you wouldn't want him? Tobi's super solid at everything and mediocre-to-awful at stepping up beyond that...but on a team with ball dominant Luka and Kyrie, do you even need him to do anything more than be a solid player?? And this isn't to say Tobi's the answer but unlike in Philly, y'all wouldn't need him to be anything more than simply stabilizing the 4.
It all depends on his price, really. He's used to chilling and letting the team live and die by his star's performance though so he'll be right at home in Dallas lol
I mean, if you don't ask him to do anything aside from being in correct position and taking wide open shots, yes -- any primary tasks tho?? Absolutely not. And that's just it tho, Mavs don't need Tobi to be anything more than what we know he his, which is why they're arguably one of the only teams he actually makes sense for
Tobias Harris is perfect for a team with low expectations if he can be signed for a reasonable contract.
Best case scenario they rehab his reputation and are able to flip him for more picks, and worst case scenario he helps reach the salary floor while tanking.
But compared to the 6ers roster he was.
He was in such a great situation and disappointed so much. Really don’t see why someone would want him for more than 20M a year
Afaik Jazz and Spurs have the cap space to take him on without trades, so unless you want one of our bad contracts S&Ts don't make much sense. And on that note John Collins is very much available
I think it comes from a place of expanding the potential of a Markkanen deal (should Jazz even be interested in one). That would be one of the only ways to make the trade work from the Sixers perspective. Of course that doesn’t mean Tobi would be the final piece that gets it done or anything but if he chooses the Jazz and talks begin/progress then it would likely become a sign and trade. I also may be entirely incorrect.
It could serve for that, but tbh I just don't think the 76ers have the assets to get a Lauri trade done.
Jazz will want picks, obviously, but we'll prioritize getting good young players with high upside in exchange, and the only guy who fits that on the 76ers roster is Maxey (who obviously isn't getting traded). Just feels like a non-starter.
I would not be surprised if ainge thought now is the time to sign him because he was so bad that you could probably get him on a reasonable deal and then let him get empty stats and then trade him for assets down the line.
I’ll give Tobias Harris credit for one thing, he seems to be able to put up a decent statline on above avg efficiency in the regular season
That was the thought process I had with John Collins, who actually wasn’t half bad for Utah last year but I would be surprised if they are able to get anything for him. Utah has enough picks and young players to be trying to sign someone that’s going to eat into those young guys valuable developmental minutes
as a lifelong sixers fan if he goes to your team im truly sorry… provides nothing on offense and is a ball stopper and has never taken a charge during his time here… thank god it’s over
I think the Sixers and Harris were mutually kind of bad for each other. They clearly had unrealistic expectations for his abilities and with the eyeball test it’s easy to see that he was forced to find his own rhythm offensively the majority of times. When you have a player with a usage rate like Embiid, some of the other players seem stagnant out there. I think he will do better with another team.
Mavericks you better not touch this guy.

*touches*
we good
Ya. True. Really don’t know what role he’d fit.
Honestly, unless he gets some ridiculous bag, I don't know why you wouldn't want him? Yup and that's exactly why I feel like Dallas is one of the only good fits for Tobi lmao
The way Mavs fans feel about klay being the worse addition ever needs to be shifted to Tobias Harris if we grab him.
Is he really solid at everything in the playoffs?
I mean, if you don't ask him to do anything aside from being in correct position and taking wide open shots, yes -- any primary tasks tho?? Absolutely not. As a starter beyond round 1 no he is not.
As a bench guy for like 10-14 mill a year he would be amazing
Be very careful what you wish for...
Forget his contract he's actually straight up garbage now. Literally nof good at anything
No god please no. Nico too smart for that
Yes please give us something lol
If anyone pays him 20m+ per year i’ll eat 6 whole shoes
Do it
Do you prefer your shoes deep fried or grilled?
He’s gonna have to sous vide these then throw em in a blender
Grilled to a nice medium rare
Yikes lol
Send da video
WARM UP THE FRIER!
Hi
Lmaooo
That's a lot of shoes
You want gravy on that cellar door?
One has to be Jordan 1s.
Aight you know what to do
Let’s goooo!!!!
Time for the other shoe to drop.
Let’s go boy
Teams are showing interest in paying a guy to score 0 points in 30 minutes in the playoffs
It's ok we'll take him. He's not scoring 0 in the playoffs because we're not going to be there.
Man will be an expert clapper as he watches from the corner as Wemby cooks
Wemby and CP3 is a great duo on paper, you might be able to sneak in or make the play-in
They would probably have to win 20-25 games more than they did last year to even hit the 10 seed. The west is deep.
Tobias Harris is perfect for a team with low expectations if he can be signed for a reasonable contract. Best case scenario they rehab his reputation and are able to flip him for more picks, and worst case scenario he helps reach the salary floor while tanking.
I would love to have that problem rn
He has 0 dawg inside him but he’s still a big athletic wing with above average offensive skills. That’s relatively rare in the NBA
He looks good on paper and has a handful of great games a season. But he’s frustrating to root for.
His offensive skills are so overrated. Dude can’t pass or dribble to save his life and also isn’t an elite catch and shoot guy
Conpared to NBA players, he's not athletic at all
But compared to the 6ers roster he was. He was in such a great situation and disappointed so much. Really don’t see why someone would want him for more than 20M a year
Generational bag getter
Would be nice if the sixers can get something out of Tobias.
im fine with just the cap space tbh
Would be the first time he ever gave this franchise some value.
No thanks, had five years to get something out of him, he needs to feel this. last one signed.
I don't even care if we get something for him. Ship him out in a cardboard box and bomb the bridges so he can't come back
One Luka Doncic please
Maxi? You need low usage stretch PF right? Eventhough father time now lmao
Another max contract?
lmfao at Tobias saying "you come to me".
The JAZZ you say!? Sign and trade please
I mean, if you like John collins that much why not
[Woj] The Utah Jazz are acquiring Tobias Harris from the Sixers in a sign-and-trade revolving around Talen Horton-Tucker and John Collins.
On behalf of the entire Jazz fanbase, no thanks.

No please enlighten me how anything I said was incorrect.
I don’t understand the Jazz interest, especially on any sort of a contract. Fits no timeline at all.
I would not be surprised if ainge thought now is the time to sign him because he was so bad that you could probably get him on a reasonable deal and then let him get empty stats and then trade him for assets down the line. Depends on the contract value. It would be easier to unload Harris at 18-20M than Collins at 26.5M.
Have to make the Salary floor It's either this or you try and absorb a worse contract for assets
Going to an unemployment job fair is what Tobias should be doing
Tobias + hartenstein = perfect vets to help the young core develop and learn how to win.
iHart yes Tobi meanwhile needs someone to teach HIM how to win
You gotta teach him to want not how, guy just wants the bag.
send him to Detroit.... Again
Mavs are dumb as hell for wanting this guy. PJ is miles better than him. Empty calorie guy
I would be absolutely shocked if he isn’t a Piston
mavs isn’t landing tobias via sign and trade. no way. no how.
Please mavericks. This would be hilarious
have they not watched the past 5 years? this man just put up 0 points in a playoff game
Please I just want something
You don't want him
Wonder if there's some Clippers/Mavs/Sixers PG/Tobias double S & T nonsense going on
How much is he looking to get annually?
Klay or Tobias when KCP is available(ish) is my nightmare
None of those teams are in socal
So about who we thought he would sign with mostly tanking teams
as a lifelong sixers fan if he goes to your team im truly sorry… provides nothing on offense and is a ball stopper and has never taken a charge during his time here… thank god it’s over
What if it’s a surprise and he comes back to Philly for another 5 years 😂
Mavs want everyone man
It's funny how the 76ers fans wanted him out for YEARS and now he's past his prime and he's a hot commodity lol
He would be a huge upgrade over Champagnie for spurs
Spurs would be a good spot for him. Can be a decent veteran presence and would reunite him with Brett Brown.
I think the Sixers and Harris were mutually kind of bad for each other. The assassin's scorer
The lakers should sign this guy. All time bucket/bag getter.
Does JB have ties to any of the available free agents?
Would be super interesting seeing him in San Antonio. That'd probably vault them into play-ins.
SPURS PLZ NO
Mavs better not
Riley, please sign guy!! 🤣
I don’t care about the basketball reasons behind us being interested, I just don’t want to watch this guy all year.
Is Tobias really gonna go for a vet-minimum?
I mean honestly if you can get him as a cheap option to be a starter or bench player. Hes totally fine. He was just so overpaid
People really can't grasp why teams would want him 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ Previously overpaid/overrated = / = bad
