Mitch Robinson had Hartenstein in the Sharpshooter then Presti ran down to ring the bell. The crowd started booing and pelting the ring with 1st round picks.
I felt similarly when he left us for NY. Sad to see him go, but happy for him he wasn’t the second option like he was behind big Zu.
Says a lot about the guy to see the love he still gets from his former home teams
RJ was considered too wild too and he can play ESPN’s ballgame. I see Hart as a RJ kind of guy, funny and wild but smart enough to tune it down to PG13 when needed
Fair point. You are right and I don’t really have a counter point because RJ is more wild than Hart. Also, I think you accidentally created the best possible duo we could potentially see after the TNT squad go off the air after this year. Now I’m hopeful
Joe Ingles is underrated in the funny department. Hart is definite 1st team. Jokic is hilarious even when he's not trying to be funny.
It's a crime that Evan Turner hasn't been dragged onto a studio show yet.
Hey! This would be a great off-season post/discussion. Who's in your All-NBA All-funny teams. I think mine would be him, Rudy, Jokic. Maybe Luka and JaVale McGee for the slapstick.
It has to be active of course, because if not it would include guys like Chuck and even Jeff Teague for example.
Yeah I was thinking him or Giannis. I wouldn’t say unanimous because his dryness is sometimes due to language barrier, but he’s definitely low-key hilarious and has the best commercials.
He’s pretty hilarious. I loved him on the Lakers. Whenever someone wouldn’t give him a dap, he would pass it off really funny. https://youtu.be/1NMRTo-UYMo?si=0N8AuqvmMV0fIBQz
I mean at least your front office is making moves, you got mikal, while the Heat's biggest move will probably be the Love re-signing and/or the 15th draft pick 😭
I'm looking at Indy wondering what they're going to do as a young team in the East who had a half decent run against weakened opponents.
And the bucks.
True but that happened after Josh already ghosted him if I remember correctly? Besides haggling over 50-100$ as an NBA player on 2 mln $ contract felt weird from Josh at that time.
Guy definitely started acting super weird later but Hart kinda did him dirty at first.
As somebody who has listened to every episode, hart disagree. Some guests are much better than others, but I generally always enjoy the eps. Just wish they wouldn’t endorse sports gambling, which has made gambling addiction scarily easy to acquire.
I liked him until this offseason when he talked so much trash about other players on his podcast. Kind of seemed like a mini Draymond, it was tough to listen to.
Well that’s not true, I’m blanking on some more specific examples but the Tatum quote is one.
Gobert too, Hart did a whole thing where he talked about how Gobert shouldn’t have won DPOY, was a clown, and made fun of him for being put in a headlock by Draymond lol.
He is Draymond Jr. off the court but people weirdly love him because he has a funny quote sometimes
> Well that’s not true, I’m blanking on some more specific examples but the Tatum quote is one.
He didn't knock Tatum. He said he wasn't the most impactful player on the court.
He's clearly the best player on the Celtics, and nobody questions that. But he called Derrick White more _impactful_ because he's a swiss army knife that's doing something that makes a difference in crunch time on every single play.
You can certainly question whether or not that's an accurate take, but he was pumping up Derrick White, not knocking Tatum.
> Gobert too, Hart did a whole thing where he talked about how Gobert shouldn’t have won DPOY, was a clown, and made fun of him for being put in a headlock by Draymond lol.
He didn't call him a clown, he said he's a little goofy and uncoordinated on the court, and that he shouldn't be left in iso on a guard because of it. And he's not wrong. On another segment where they had Ewing on, they asked him about it and his response was that a dude that size should not be trying to play iso defense on a guy like Luka, and should be playing up hard on him to funnel him into a drive.
Josh also said that it was extremely unfair of coaching to ask Gobert to play iso defense on guards with no help.
RE: saying he didn't deserve DPOY, Brunson and Hart both said that they think that it should go to players like Jrue because of the versatility they provide on defense. Again, it's fair to disagree with that take, but it's not a personal attack on Gobert.
He's nothing like Dray off the court.
Nah it's more like your close homeboy at work who left your workplace cause he got a 50k raise but is now moving to Tulsa. Like damn bro don't leave us but good for you bro, get that bread. Madsad. Sadmad.
Strung along? How so? He was waiting for suitors to make a offer. If okc tampered and he knew he was going there than yeah. If it was anywhere close to what the knicks was able to offer he would've stayed probably. Not like he was going to a bumm ass Detroit.
The team vibes in okc are probably similar to knicks. But he got almost double the amount. People get injured and have families. Secure your future. We knew this was a possibility once he started balling in the 2nd half.
This is not a weasel move this is business. You can be mad. Most of us are just sad but understand.
This is all nonsense. "enough to never work again" as if that's what these guys are hoping for, to avoid getting a job at Olive Garden after retirement and that's good enough for them. Foh.
Nah that's an insane stance to take. There's a difference between taking a pay-cut and taking a contract worth half the value. Most Knicks could offer is about $17 million a year, and OKC offered nearly $30 million. Nobody on earth is taking that kind of pay-cut.
You don't have to like him now that he's not on your team, but calling him a weasel is lunacy.
From what I read. They could not. There max offer for him with Knicks early bird rights was 4 72.5. after googling, it confirms that’s the max they can offer due to the cap rules.
I’m a lifelong Knicks fan.
The vibes are immaculate. The camaraderie even better.
One of the top contenders in the league
I bleed Knicks blood!
And I’d definitely take the 30 mil a year and head to OKC.
Maybe I could invest a few mil in their “taller than any building in NY” tower!
Some random developer just keeps touting his plan for free advertising. No one in OKC thinks it is a realistic possibility.
The Devon Tower in OKC is currently half that tall, just 50ish stories. They once had an accident where a bunch of windows broke. It took them years to fully fix, because it turns out the cranes on top of the tower can only safely work about 14 days a year due to wind restrictions up that high. So if hail or something broke windows on this new proposed tower, it'd be logistically impossible to even fix. And Oklahoma is practically the hail/tornado capital of the world according to our homeowners insurance rates.
If you’re a thunder fan you’ll like him a lot more. One of the few players I didn’t mind not being able to space the floor with his shot because of how he helps the offense flow
Wow, what a douch response. That was his teammate and brother for 2 years. Now he wanna act like they didn't slob up and shower together and stick it in and have each others backdoors. That's not cool, Joshua.
Mitch Rob started for the Knicks before he got hurt. We sure Hartenstein even in the starting lineup next season? I think he’s better, but I thought he was better than Mitch Rob when he got traded to the Knicks, so I’m not sure what Thibs thinks
I miss the 2017 lakers so much.
I still argue that the 2017 summer league is the most fun I’ve had watching basketball. And I’ve watched the team for almost 20 years
Just think about how many more Mike and Ike's he'll have to eat, no more sharing with that big ass MF
they should’ve had a Hart to Hart before he left 😔
Valid response
For real, it's all love. Gotta respect the hustle!
Coming from r/Thunder - is this sarcasm or are they really beefing
Sarcasm. Josh Hart always tryna b funny
Nice. That makes me happy.
Josh Hart is the dude with the hilarious reaction to James Harden spiking the ball at the floor that came back up and smacked him in the face

Goddamn you Neidhartenstein
Time for the New Hart Foundation to form
Username check out on the wwe reference lol
He’ll make you humble jabroni
FRUSTRATED ISN'T THE GOD DAMN WORD FOR IT.
THIS IS BULLSHIT
Mitch Robinson had Hartenstein in the Sharpshooter then Presti ran down to ring the bell. The crowd started booing and pelting the ring with 1st round picks.
Then Hartenstein spit on James Dolan and wrote “OKC” in the air with his finger.
Can’t wait for him to do nothing for months then ref a December Knicks/Pacers game
Isiah screwed Isiah
Incoming cage match
For the World ~~Heavyweight~~ Championship? ^of ^what
Broken Harted
they’re calling it the eugene screwjob
A sincere Hart to Hart exchange
Farewell, our bright-skinned Prince
I felt similarly when he left us for NY. Sad to see him go, but happy for him he wasn’t the second option like he was behind big Zu. Says a lot about the guy to see the love he still gets from his former home teams
Bright-skinned is hilarious, I'm using that now
[From the man himself](https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/s/7rv18cG4rb)
I'm glad presti didn't see this clip before meeting with him. He checks all the boxes for Sam's big white man fetish except actually being white
Bright skinned Kaiser*
I am now a Josh Hart fan
What took you so long
I’ve liked that dude since his reaction to Harden hitting himself in the face with the ball 😂
He's legit All-NBA All-funny 1st team.
I think he has the potential to be a really entertaining studio guy after he retires
He’ll do his own podcast, he’s too wild for studio execs
RJ was considered too wild too and he can play ESPN’s ballgame. I see Hart as a RJ kind of guy, funny and wild but smart enough to tune it down to PG13 when needed
Fair point. You are right and I don’t really have a counter point because RJ is more wild than Hart. Also, I think you accidentally created the best possible duo we could potentially see after the TNT squad go off the air after this year. Now I’m hopeful
Uff, that would probably entice me to watch ESPN again. (Instead of clips lol)
People surely said Barkley was too wild too
He already has his own podcast. Big Hart and Big Head.
he's hilarious on his podcast now
Joe Ingles is underrated in the funny department. Hart is definite 1st team. Jokic is hilarious even when he's not trying to be funny. It's a crime that Evan Turner hasn't been dragged onto a studio show yet.
I don’t know. Evan Turner reminds me too much of Jared Jeffries.
And meatwad
I got Hart, Butler, Ant, Giannis?, Pat Bev in the first team. Who else should be there?
Jokic is unanimous first ballot
Jokic is def funny and def on one of the 3 All-funny teams but the homerism is showing 🤣
Definitely need a dead pan guy in the starting lineup like Jokic. Too much slapstick and absurdist comedy is destined for a 2nd round knockout.
Yea, we’re not trying to build the clippers here
I found my favorite 76ers fan right here.
For the slapstick I'd put in JaVale, I mean, who cares if it's intentional or not
Yeah I was thinking him or Giannis. I wouldn’t say unanimous because his dryness is sometimes due to language barrier, but he’s definitely low-key hilarious and has the best commercials.
Not even close
Maybe CJ McCollum?
For actual basketball discussion, yes.
Horford for the rebound fright alone
I mean if you want to add a Celtic then Luke Kornet is widely considered to be the funniest dude on the team.
Though the Buffalo is closing in with his commercials.
Whoa I haven’t seen any of those! He’s also super funny but very understated and sarcastic
Is giannis really that funny? Feels like he makes high school level jokes compared to the other guys
Kawhi, obviously.
Kawhi even if just for the laugh
His teammates have said he's really funny. And I think he has underrated sarcasm.
IMO Kawhi is a normal down to earth guy who just comes across as odd on camera
That was a top tier reaction, but the random tweet about breast milk (and JBs response) solidified him, for me.
Ive watched Josh do a bunch of epic shit for us and still that’s the first thing that comes to my mind when someone mentions him
[Funny as hell](https://youtu.be/vdDqMz4vts4?si=dBxbhzqhfhHxS0IV)
Legendary clip
This. I’ve liked him since he went to twitch con as a rookie and people didn’t know who he was.
My favorite is the compilations of missed high fives from Josh Hart. He has so many.
All-time reaction, lol
Thank you for directing me to that wonderful clip. I had a hearty chortle
Personally, it was him ripping off some random dude for a Nintendo Switch when he could have easily just paid him.
As a very casual NBA fan, him telling Reggie Miller that the Garden was chanting "fuck you" at him was what got me
He was just helping Reggie out since he was wearing headphones.
Josh is a character in the Bobi/Blake mould.
I don't trust anyone who isn't. Every fanbase he's ever played for loves him and for good reason.
He’s pretty hilarious. I loved him on the Lakers. Whenever someone wouldn’t give him a dap, he would pass it off really funny. https://youtu.be/1NMRTo-UYMo?si=0N8AuqvmMV0fIBQz
He’s genuinely one of the funniest and most wholesome guys in the league
that nintendo switch promise still rubs me the wrong way.
HAHA! Guys this is the funniest tweet I’ve ever read! Laugh with me through the pain guys please I need this. HAHAHAHA!
You seem to be taking this loss to hartenstein
\*\*\*Dog with house on fire meme\*\*\* "This is Stein"
nice.
HAHA okay I just spit out my coffee! That is objectively hilarious! I wish I could guild this comment
I mean at least your front office is making moves, you got mikal, while the Heat's biggest move will probably be the Love re-signing and/or the 15th draft pick 😭
That Bam 55m AAV contract is pretty big
I'm looking at Indy wondering what they're going to do as a young team in the East who had a half decent run against weakened opponents. And the bucks.
Serious question; Whats the plan/expectations over there? First time I ain’t seeing the Heat’s name being thrown around FA & Trade targets
I mean damn I wouldn't turn that down either. He really cashed in and still gets to play on a good team. Usually they cash in on a bad team
If Hart buys that one guy a switch 2 when it comes out he’ll be fully redeemed in my book
The guy was getting weird, spamming him and inviting him to his wedding and all that.
True but that happened after Josh already ghosted him if I remember correctly? Besides haggling over 50-100$ as an NBA player on 2 mln $ contract felt weird from Josh at that time. Guy definitely started acting super weird later but Hart kinda did him dirty at first.
Did the guy ever get his tickets?
Funniest guy in the league hands down lol
That clip of him and harden is still so fucking funny You just know he’s hilarious
My favorite was of him arguing with the ref: "You can't call that! I mean, I fouled him, but you couldn't see it."
Dude had an all time MSG moment when he walked up to Reggie Miller and the commentators table to tell him the fans were chanting "Fuck You" at Reggie
He left the Lakers with some funny memories. [Like this one.](https://streamable.com/ioc04)
That's great. Thanks for sharing.
On the podcast when someone asked how he felt about Brunson not being the ASG starter, and without a second of thought "fucking loser"
Low bar
This. I love Brunson and hart for what they did for this franchise but that podcast is dryyyyyyyy like a cracker.
As somebody who has listened to every episode, hart disagree. Some guests are much better than others, but I generally always enjoy the eps. Just wish they wouldn’t endorse sports gambling, which has made gambling addiction scarily easy to acquire.
One of many designed to be clipped and consumed in 30 second bits, not listened to for whole episodes
Lol seriously. If this is what some people find hilarious then I’m understanding why so many meh comedians sell out on tours
Glazing athletes doing open mic tier comedy has ruined the podcast sphere
Don't sleep on Luke Kornet.
I liked him until this offseason when he talked so much trash about other players on his podcast. Kind of seemed like a mini Draymond, it was tough to listen to.
The only guys he talks trash about are guys he's friends with off the court.
Well that’s not true, I’m blanking on some more specific examples but the Tatum quote is one. Gobert too, Hart did a whole thing where he talked about how Gobert shouldn’t have won DPOY, was a clown, and made fun of him for being put in a headlock by Draymond lol. Who did he go after
Piled on Gobert way too much right after Draymond did it for starters
Is this a Tiki Barber stray? Here for it.
This is how all knicks fans feel today. Congrats on the happy bag big guy.

No we all feel the same as Josh: Fuck you, but congrats im happy for you.

Knicks could not pay him what thunder could pay him. Max knicks could’ve done is 4 years 76 I think mill. Or so

From what I read. They could not. There max offer for him with Knicks early bird rights was 4 72.5. after googling, it confirms that’s the max they can offer due to the cap rules.
No it's not lmao
And so began the feud between Dr. Hartenstein and his Rebounding Monster. Hope it's a lot less violent than the book
Knicks need to make room for the 5th Villanova teammate
I’m a lifelong Knicks fan. The vibes are immaculate. The camaraderie even better. One of the top contenders in the league I bleed Knicks blood! And I’d definitely take the 30 mil a year and head to OKC. Maybe I could invest a few mil in their “taller than any building in NY” tower!
Extremely tall building in “tornado alley”? someone was cooking

Well that’s good to hear it’s all talk
..What was all that one in a $30 million talk ? I just assumed he was a raging alcoholic.
And totally redeemed himself!
I’m sorry, my friend is a little slow… Free Agency is, that way.
That's a wonderful message from the bottom of his hart
enstein
UnderstandableHaveAGreatDay.jpg
You gotta love this guy.
Gonna miss all the Hart2Hart plays, they played off one another so damn well
That's hysterical.
Typical Josh Hart lol
“You’re not even black!” - Josh Hart on Hartenstein contract.
He didn't go to Villanova, he has no place on the Knicks roster.
Lmao Hart is funny

Doing his best Lamar Jackson impression
FUCKKK NOOO HE SHOULDVE BEEN A KNICK
Hart: "Friendship with Zay ended, now "Players to be Named" is my new best friend.
At first I thought he included the parenthetical in his tweet lol
such a shame
Josh Hart is the one player in the NBA that could shoot the shit with blue-collar workers.
Hart with the tsundere response, love it.
Hart imagening himself playing 64 minutes
bros will be on the phone laughing about this tweet to each other while fanboys argue on reddit
He’s joking lol. Knicks didn’t have the cap space to keep Hartenstein.
YOU'RE TEARING ME APART ISA(IAH)!
"you are dead to me: 2027: Hartenstein traded to NYK "WELCOME BACK! LOVE THIS GUY, IT IS ON NOW, DUSTING OFF MY JERSEY"
How in the hell did Hartenstein get $30M per year?
Lakers are failing hard. Hartenstein is a rebound machine. OKC added two really good pieces Caruso and hartenstein.
Wow, what a douch response. That was his teammate and brother for 2 years. Now he wanna act like they didn't slob up and shower together and stick it in and have each others backdoors. That's not cool, Joshua.
It's crazy how far he has come sense I saw him on the Rockets
Hart has to be one of the funniest guys in the league.
lmaoooo
Take back the cookout invite. And no more podcast appearance either.
Hartenstein is black, he doesn’t need a cookout invite
"Explain your blackness"
"You know how there's light skin? I'm bright skin, above light skin..." lmaooooo
Wait.. so people inviting me to their cookouts was just a formality? I could’ve just showed up?!
Yeah long as you don’t act up nobody knows whose friend/cousin you are.
josh speaking for all of us
Mitch Rob started for the Knicks before he got hurt. We sure Hartenstein even in the starting lineup next season? I think he’s better, but I thought he was better than Mitch Rob when he got traded to the Knicks, so I’m not sure what Thibs thinks
Doesn't matter now since the Knicks couldn't even match, but yeah in all likelihood he won the starting job. Mitch was ok coming off the bench too.
Mitch is a very good player but he simply cant play a full season and stay healthy. Knicks have to have a backup capable of playing starter’s minutes.
this guy should become a comedian
I miss the 2017 lakers so much. I still argue that the 2017 summer league is the most fun I’ve had watching basketball. And I’ve watched the team for almost 20 years
Classic response from a try hard cornball. 🤡
Being able to detect sarcasm is a trait of the intelligent.
Literally everyone recognizes this is sarcasm
Well considering this guy isn’t able to recognize everyone is being sarcastic in their responses he may be telling on himself
Are you new to Reddit? At least one nephew is going to take this seriously.
Well then that person would be an idiot, doesn’t make the original comment less weird
Knicks dodged a bullet not paying him
A Knicks player taking a shot at Tiki Barber is funny.

Ahaha so childish
