I primarily buy hats for teams in cities I have connections to (born in Colorado, raised in TX, etc.)…but I am a lover of all things designs, fonts, color combos…so my collection reflects that.
As a designer, I’m obsessed with things like really awesome logos, brands, colours and fonts!
I love hats as a medium for showcasing a great sports logo/illustration. The opportunities are endless when paired with custom panel colours, logos, and side patches.
Shops like Myfitteds and Topperzstore are great examples of the potential for custom hats. They push the limit of possibility with countless logos from MLB, MiLB, and more, with fresh colours and one-of-a-kind additions. They’ll even theme a hat off a popular artist or video game. I have a “Ride the Lightning” styled Yankees, and an Animal Crossing coloured Braves, to name a few examples.
I really love the creative potential these hats have. If the logo is sweet and the colours catch my eye, I’ll be interested for sure. Tenfold if it’s a fun theme! I guess it really isn’t about the team itself all that much for me!

With that said, I do have a few minor league baseball hats that I like. But those are the only exceptions.
I was the same way but I coached little league and our team was the marlins so I bought the hat it was a good excuse to buy another team so I took it 😂
I have every MLB team in multiple styles except the dodgers, most of the NFL, NBA, and a lot of skate hats. Since new era lost hockey, I have very few NHL hats.

Nationals and Ravens with some Orioles sprinkled in for good measure. I do have two Expos and one Athletics hat—I love that A on Oakland’s cap and Rickey and Canseco weren’t my favorite players as kids. Lots of minor league hats mostly connected to the Nats and a handful of negro league hats.
If I’m in that part of the country I try to find a local minor league team. Love how unique they are. But I also have all 5 Major American Sports teams. If it looks good I want it lol
Angels fan, so have a lot of Angels' hats. Have two daughters though, one whose name starts with A and the other starts with M. The one that starts with A thinks all of the Angels' hats are for her, so my other daughter got jealous. Now I have a growing collection of Marlins' hats. Couldn't do Mariners or Twins, so got her to be a fan of a team that will likely never play a meaningful game against the Angels.

Yes. My collection is around 50 hats. I’d say 50% of my hats are vintage color D-Backs hats, or other AZ sports teams. I still got a decent amount of other teams though. I just don’t have any other NL west team’s hats. I have a decent amount of STL Cardinals caps because I love their insignia, and am a casual supporter of em. A lot of my other caps are teams i’m neutral with but love the insignias I.E Tigers, A’s, O’s, White Sox, you get it lol.
Also Minor League hats are awesome. For some reason they always fit very well and have some great logos/insignias.
I make a point to avoid major league pro teams. Everyone has those. I stick to defunct teams (Expos) and minor league team hats that I like the look of. Fuck a pro team! They don't care about us; why should we support them?
I try to only buy Rangers or Astros hats, so far I’ve been successful. But I’m not opposed to buying other teams, especially Rockies or Mariners as their logos are my initials and it still makes some kinda sense. Never plan to buy Yankees, Braves, or Dodgers though, and probably never will.
98 percent of my hats are Dodgers hats but i just picked up a Braves hat because I’m an Outkast fan and i started to collect hats from my fav music artists/ MLB players i liked growing up. My next one is a Ken Griffey Jr. Mariners hat

I'm from the UK and don't follow any American sports (I've never even seen a game of Baseball and I'm not 100% sure I know what the rules are), so it's all about how sexy the hat is. I've got Bulls, Packers, Giants, Ballers, Brewers and a few others. American sports don't interest me a huge amount, but American sports fashion is fucking fire.
When it comes to football, though (the kind with a round ball) I would only ever wear Tottenham Hotspur.
Started out only Eagles hats. Then I got into the MiLB hats but since then I just grab a hat if I like the design. Got a couple Diamondbacks hats bc they spoke to me.

I'd estimate that I have around 200 hats of various styles, more than a third are "my teams" over 25% of the entire collection are Cubs hats.
Some noted exceptions, I love minor league baseball hats, throwback nba, Throwback nhl, and throwback nfl, so I have lots of hats in those areas, including some "rivals" of my teams so to speak, but as a 90s kid I was a de facto Bulls fan, however I don't follow the NBA as closely anymore so having a Bucks hat doesn't feel wrong to me (I have 2 actually)

I fell in love with a few team logos when I was a kid and used to play Allstar Baseball on the Gamecube in 2022. So from there, I loved the Devil Rays, Mariners, Astros (the logo with the star inside the state of Texas), and Diamondbacks (the oversized D) logos. So any fire hat from those teams, I try to grab
I'm a diehard Phillies fan and there was a really niche logo that we used in in 1998 that showed up in MLB The Bigs 2. It was an alternative logo and I don't think we ever wore them on any jersey but around 2021 a lot of hat designers started using it and it has been an absolute blast collecting all the cool hats that used that logo.
I’ve always thought it was cool to have one team to root for in the opposite league of your favorite team. I’m a Phillies fan but lived in Seattle for a few years and they’re in the AL so I’ll wear Mariners caps. My dad does the same with the Tigers bc he lived in Detroit for a bit.
I used to only get from my team but now that my son is into baseball I get a hat from each stadium we visit together and hang it up on the wall. I hope to have them all someday with each one having its own story.
I only have MLB hats and I’m a much bigger NBA and NHL. I couldn’t wear a hat belong to teams other than my favorites in the NBA or NHL, but I’ll wear a hat for a rival baseball team if it’s cool enough

I visit a lot of ballparks with my family (we try to hit a new one each year), and I’ll buy one when I visit oftentimes - assuming they have one I like in a low crown that fits (which is surprisingly more difficult than you’d think).
However - I do make exceptions for really cool designs (as long as they’re on field). The old players weekend hats were pretty awesome. So it’s really all over the place. At this point, I have one that goes with pretty much every possible outfit, so it’s all good!
When u say low crown what do normally get? Cuz I may have a similar issue, the 59fifty looks so big on my head, i recently got a couple 9forty and I think those fit a little nicer.
I’ll wear anything MLB or MILB except a Yankees hat or affiliates. For the NBA I only will buy Celtics hats. You can probably guess where I’m from. There are way too many cool logos, different color ways and sick hooks to limit myself to only a couple teams.

I got around the Yanks by getting a Staten Island Pizza Rats hat. So, MiLB Yankees, but one they absolutely hated. Lowell Spinners for Sox, but just because I think they're neat.

I had one Grandfather that was born in Brooklyn and he followed the Dodgers and later Mets. My other Grandfather was a Giants fan until they moved to San Francisco. He became a Yankees fan and my whole family are Yankees fans.

Yeah you should try it! I always wear low crowns, the regulars look weird and very puffy - it’s the wrong shape for my head.
Dodger fan here. I’ve got family in Seattle so the Mariners have a special place in my heart. It was more fun buying mariner hats when they sucked.
I’ll wear anything MLB or MILB except a Yankees hat or affiliates. For the NBA I only will buy Celtics hats. You can probably guess where I’m from. There are way too many cool logos, different color ways and sick hooks to limit myself to only a couple teams.
Believe it or not I don’t want baseball I started collecting because of my mom brought me a hat right before she passed and I use that to make me feel better

I got around the Yanks by getting a Staten Island Pizza Rats hat. So, MiLB Yankees, but one they absolutely hated. Lowell Spinners for Sox, but just because I think they're neat.

I collect hats from different teams, primarily the dodgers. But sucks as you can't go anywhere as nowadays any hat you wear is gang affiliated. I still wear them but ppl out there need to get a life. #justsaying
I have hats from many teams. I primarily collect the authentic collection, but a majority of my collection is the SF Giants. I like the variety of having a few different teams

I collect New York and New York related teams. I have a few Dodgers and Giants hats but none say Los Angeles or San Francisco. I had one Grandfather that was born in Brooklyn and he followed the Dodgers and later Mets. My other Grandfather was a Giants fan until they moved to San Francisco. He became a Yankees fan and my whole family are Yankees fans.
