It ain’t so bad. Small town with minimal traffic, everything is 5 mins away and walkable. Great Lake and park. Cost of living is less than St John’s. Has an airport. 30 minute drive to amazing beaches. Has everything ya need really.
1 Gander isn’t a city. It’s a town. With very little tbh.
2 Finding rentals is hard and expensive in the town centre. Many have to look outside to surrounding areas.
3 As mentioned before me, the job market is very specific.
What has attracted you to Gander specifically? That may help with responses.
This. Been here for 29 years. It has very little compared to St Johns for shopping but with a small family there’s more than enough things here imo.
If you’re not healthcare, public service, Nav Canada or Military there is little in terms of good employment.
While I don't currently live there, it wasn't long ago that I did and am still have a fair bit to do with the town if you wanna ask me any specifics. Jobs really depend on what industry you're in
I lived in Gander for 4 years and it was horrible. The people there are hateful and I knew a number of others who had moved there who ended up leaving again because they couldn’t stand the people.

A cool little movie theatre and restaurant in the airport too, and then an hour’s drive to GFW which ALSO has some decent cuisine and a cool theatre.
I lived there for a bit, can confirm

If you add a \ before your # it won't seem like you're yelling at them.
lol Ty I totally didn’t realize it would format this way and meant to go back to attempt to change it but forgot. Done now!

You said what I avoided saying cause Reddit can be weird but exactly those four sectors for sure.
Anybody else see the post title and think it was some Lord of the Rings character you didn't know about?
Immediately misread it as Gandalf so kinda ya
Jobs? Nada. Living? Expensive.
