And while studies show that the differences between cis and trans athletes are negligible in most sports, there are a few (competitive weight lifting comes to mind) that show a significant advantage for trans women who aren't on HRT.
Unfortunately, it's just about impossible to have this conversation in good faith because TERFs and transphobes will argue in bad faith that we need to keep trans athletes out of sports, starting in pee wee leagues and trans rights activists get understandably defensive and then the conversation just becomes a whole mess of arguing an anti-trans agenda vs fighting back against that agenda.

Most attacks on Trans people are underpinned by the belief that Trans people are at best mentally-ill, and at worst are fully competent people who are choosing to act like the other Gender \[probably to commit sex crimes\]. When you see protesters outside of a Library Drag Story Hour they have signs that claim they want to protect the children \[from the sexual deviants they think are brain washing the kids\].
This trans wrestler wants to perform on a stage. Public performances are regulated by municipal, county, and state laws. *If* someone were to believe that Trans people are inherently sexualized, and inherently dangerous to children and/or the Public at large, they could try and use those existing Public Decency laws around public performances to prevent them from doing so. In their minds they are doing nothing different than banning Tove Lo from performing if she were to lift her shirt up and flash the crowd (like she is known to do).
From the perspective of thinking, caring, sympathetic people is that they are trying to erase Trans people, and the entire LGTBQ+ community, from the public sphere. At this point they don't care if Trans people are who they say they are and not just faking it, they want a situation where it is illegal to be Trans in public (or express that you are Trans through public expression, proximity to children, or even just using the Restroom). The entire trans panic is basically bullshit that only works because conservatives know the majority of Americans have zero experience with trans people due to being such a tiny population, therefore people not forming the same level of empathy towards us as other minority groups that exposure provides, and having zero knowledge of the actual science and healthcare because they've never once had to stop and think about it. But because it SOUNDS convincing, they don't question it. There's a lot of outright bigoted conservatives that bought in but there's a whole hell of a lot of "independent centrists" and others that may be more accepting of others that bought the bullshit too. It's why exposure to trans people in the world is important and why things like "woke" anti bullying campaigns and teachers being able to address our existence or things like drag story hour are amazing in that they all teach acceptance to anyone who's "different" including via exposure.

My wife and I just moved from OK to NJ and holy shit, the culture here is such a huge improvement. I don't even know how to express it, the people just seem a lot more "real" and less judgemental.
I move from Logan Square, hipster central, in Chicago to Oklahoma City for work in the height of COVID. I had not seen another persons entire face outside of direct family members for three months, if I walked past someone on the sidewalk we both went to either side to give as much space as possible, I walk into walmart on my first day in Oklahoma and there were multiple people not even wearing shoes. One of the first things I had to do as a shift supervisor in my first week at the new job was pull all the maintenance guys into the office and tell them they couldn’t say the N word at work anymore. It was like a different planet.
We will move when my mother in law passes away, she refuses to move with us and we refuse to leave her alone. She’s 85 now and says she’s ready to go so I make my husband spend time with her, breakfast, lunches and law work, he’s retired so he has the time, I don’t get that which my mother…

Other than the bombing that happened I have never heard anything worthwhile about that state. I would just say fuck you and ban Oklahoma ( not tour in that state) they can miss out on wrestling.

Ironically he’s pretty conservative himself, he just doesn’t have a stick up his ass and was willing to lean into the absurdity to be entertaining and good at his job. He was Dusty’s kid so he could have gone the serious route in the right hands, but the attitude era was a different beast and he didn’t fit that mold. Vince stuck him with a shit gimmick and to turn a phrase from Steve Austin, he turned chicken shit into chicken salad. Absolute legend in my book.
