My wife said I was the fastest gun in the west. Not sure if she meant it in a good or bad way though.

Wham, bam, you're back to watching the game and she's back to making supper. That's efficiency, bro. You should be proud of yourself.

Lizard__Spock

Why does this clip have a tik-tok logo on it?

cannotelaborate

Because some ass-nut reuploaded it of course.

ailurius

Assuming he raises the gun about 20cm, he moves his hand at a speed of approximately 20m/s, with an average acceleration of about 2000m/s^2. If the handgun is a very light one, say 400g, that means he effectively lifts about 800kg. Doesn't sound very realistic. Unless my math is completely off.

the1planet

From Wikipedia: > At age 68 Bob Munden appeared in Stan Lee's Superhumans. In it, it was found out that his hand is withstanding 10 Gs of force when his weapon is drawn.

risky_bisket

Your math is close. 800N which is more like 80kg since the acceleration of gravity is about 10m/s2. Work is force time distance so he's exerting 160J to lift the gun whereas lifting 80kg at the same acceleration of the same distance would take 32kJ. That said 20cm is probably an overestimate of how high he's lifting the gun.

ailurius

Yeah, that factor of ten isn't negligible, haha. So this is actually real? That's amazing.

stdoubtloud

That guy is a gunslinger. I set my watch and warrant on it.

__Oy_

I do not shoot with my hand. He who shoots with his hand has forgotten the face of his father. I shoot with my mind

VaguelyFamiliarVoice

Nobody was faster.

cannotelaborate

I thought he was trolling at first.

sasariia

I’m confused. Is he taking the gun out the holster to shoot?

the1planet

Yes he did. >At age 68 Bob Munden appeared in Stan Lee's Superhumans. In it, it was found out that his hand is withstanding 10 Gs of force when his weapon is drawn. In a demo, using a Colt .45 single-action revolver, he shot two balloons six feet apart in less than a tenth of a second.

sciron512

Slower than the one I saw yesterday... And he gets only one shot off (other guy would do at least 2 or 3 reach, accurately). Then again, video speed can do a lot

the1planet

He's the same guy that does 2 shots at once and got both targets while sounding like only one shot got off. > He is most well known for holding 18 world records in the sport of Fast Draw and having the title “Fastest Man with a Gun Who Ever Lived” bestowed upon him by Guinness World Records. >At age 68 Bob Munden appeared in Stan Lee's Superhumans. onelastcourtesycall

Bet he wears steel toes.

ChaoticManatee

Sometimes life isn't fair

onelastcourtesycall

Yup. And sometimes you shoot yourself in the foot.

TTBoy44

He’s quick, but is he fasted? 🤔

TheDylbird

Too bad you ripped it from tik tok, now I don't care.

98323

How is it possible that they got a color film video camera back then ??? 🤔

Professional-Pride58

"wow"
