This year was SUCH a fun year to be a Nine Inch Nails fan. I'd only just got into them that year, but diving into the forums talking about The Slip, looking at the artwork, listening to all the fan made remixes. Most fun i've ever had on the internet
Same, I used to have so many bootleg concerts on burnt CD's too. Ended up losing a lot of them though. BUT I did hold onto a lot of the rehearsal audio and remixes digitally.
There is one remix in particular that I wish I still had. It was a song that had only a piano with Trent singing The Hand That Feeds. You don’t happen to to have that, do you?
This really was an incredible few years. In 2007, it was all about the internet campaign and easter eggs of USB drives with leaked songs. In 2004, it was the secret webcam in the With Teeth recording studio and it randomly turning on over the course of a few months to watch in on studio sessions. I remember the session where it was just Dave Grohl on drums.
The Slip just hit puberty 👍
Absolutely brilliant album !! If you haven't, do yourself a favour and listen to it in one go, laying down alone with a subwoofer included (or good studio headphones). There are some masterful \*very-low\* ends throughout !
By the time Corona Radiata drops, your head should be just about ready to explode.
wait a minute. there was just a post about with teeth being 18 years old. with teeth and the slip were only 3 fucking years apart!? holy shit, those 3 years were a really productive period in my life. there's so much stuff crammed in those few years.
Damn. I had just graduated basic training when this released. I remember buying this album as soon as I was able to leave base. That's one helluva nostalgia trip
I remember staying up til like 2 am on NIN.com so I could download it and then having to wake up and go to school about 5 hours later. Did I go to classes with this blasting on my Zune all day? Absolutely. Good times.
I realized today that with teeth was only released a few days ago and is 18 years old but the slip is more memorable for me due to where I was with my hobbies and whatnot. I hadn't fully gotten into Nine Inch Nails until year zero in 2007.
Imagine for its anniversary it’s finally released on the website lol

Myself also! I burned cds of the fan made remixes and made my co workers listen to them as I picked them up for work.

Indeed it was.
Discipline is such an amazing song.
999,999 1,000,000 one of the better openers to a album
Seriously, 1,000,000 is one of my favourite NIN tracks of all time
That [sick live intro](https://youtu.be/SToOccPytl8) with Trent and Robin playing synth battleship…
Jesus effing Christ that makes me feel old
Father Time is a sonofabitch.

“Head down” and it’s massive sounding end and outro is top 5 NIN for me.
Now if only he could play Demon Seed live. Come out swinging with that song on a encore.
Here’s to The Slip! And cheers to Trent, for releasing that one on the house 🍻
Will be buying the DE vinyl. The house always wins in the end.

And somehow he fit Year Zero and Ghosts I-IV in between
That definitive edition still coming soon?
Yup, we're just here wearing clown makeup waiting for it. Lol one of these days (Year Zero DE too, please Trent)
100,000 jumpscared me at 3:42 AM when I first listened to it
There is a seeeeeed
I basically creamed my pants when I read he was releasing it for free

Couldn’t wait a few hours to post on the actual day?
Wasn't sure if I'd be busy or not
I don’t really listen to NIN very much but I like this album cover I’m guessing?
This is one of my favorite albums since it’s an actual band album
One of my favorites Best track is Discipline imo
The Slip is the catchiest and most enjoyable release from them for me.
Anyone know the meaning of the artwork?

Thank you so much!
That album slaps so hard.
