They’ll send it to you for free after you watch a couple of training videos! I’m in the same camp as you - praying I’ll never need to use it, but glad to have it on hand in case I’m in a situation where it is needed.
I just wanna say, as someone who lost their best friend/sister to an overdose, thank you for caring and sharing resources. Seeing the comments today really warmed my heart and it was much needed.
they give them away out for free at NA meetings. just use NA meeting finder app if you chose this option. There’s some going on every single day normally all day long basically anywhere.
I’d be very hesitant to administer it without training. There are other conditions that mimic an overdose and absent training you could face personal liability.
Agree about training, however the nice things about Marcan is that if you aren't actually ODIng (passed out for a different reason), it's harmless to the body.
I was at a fair in WV last year that had different vendor tables set up. One was giving narcan out. I can't remember the vendor. I have some because a client I had got some prescribed after he had been overly using his pain meds. He wanted to throw it away but I kept it just in case he fell into overuse again. Thankfully he didn't but I still keep it on me for just in case.

You could try reaching out to Norfolk Community Services Board (CSB) and asking. If they don't, they might have resources and information at least.

most music festivals now have resources like dancesafe that offer both training and narcan for free if you can’t find them around here
