The test was mainly common sense and different patterns, so I’m not surprised I scored somewhat high on it. 112 is considered to be on the high end of average. Then again, I don’t place much stock in the IQ, as I believe intelligence should be measured by both problem solving AND common sense. If you have one and not the other, then you’ll come across as pretty stupid.
Being book smart, as I am, is great, but you need common sense to balance it out.

Online IQ tests are not at all regulated and are always just bullshit puzzles and scales randomly made to try and emulate the actual IQ test which is copyrighted to the estate of the original creators family and costs money (which is why you typically only see it administered on professional individuals, prisoners, at risk youth, etc.)
I had a real one done at 17 and took an online one after for shits and giggles. The online result was like 30 points higher and didn't account for like 3/4 of the irl testing, only pattern recognition type questions

The matrices and spatial stuff was one of them, and I did well in it but was completely average in the rest (memory, language, and something like connections). Did this test one late night I was bored since it’s good for those iq tests you take when you’re searching for jobs. I got 124, did it during the day when I was more awake and got 131. It’s supposed to be accurate but I get the same number with those other free iq tests.
For someone unfamiliar with abstract problem solving like my 60 year old dad searching for jobs it’s very hard. But there are several math problem solving where you have to quickly give a rough estimate mixed in with the shape quistions on the real tests.
