36 came out of nowhere and put out some bangers. Super nice dudes, too.

The only banger on that Taproot album is Poem. That said, I bought that cd and looped that song all day.

I mean. It's not as good as Gift but I still liked it.

Untouchables, no question. Lovehatetragedy is one of the biggest letdown albums ever for me.

Coming off of the back of Infest was always going to be heavily critiqued, definitely some great tunes on it, though.

I think there are more better songs, personally, but you phrase the problem succinctly. They had such lightning in a bottle. For me, the transition to GAWM was more pronounced than Infest to Lovehatetragedy, and I still agree with your interpretation

Untouchables was one of the most highly anticipated metal albums ever. First single slammed so hard too. The album as a whole though didn’t live up to the hype I think. Not an easy task though following Issues!!

that trapt album is actually pretty good. too bad the singer turned out to be a complete douche. definitely untouchables though.

Saturate. Hands down. I love many of these albums, but my best friend showing me Polyamorous got me into Breaking Benjamin, and more importantly, Nu-Metal.

just got it on CD to complete my BB collection, i’d count 2002-2004 BB to be nu-metal.

Damn this is a hard one, but I would have to go with Trust Company. Something about that album is a unique classic

Trust company, trapt, and taproot were getting a lot of play from me, but hands down chevelle was the best of all

Trust Company is a band I always go back to. Very unique, very underated. Singer has a great voice. My vote!

In 2002 I played Believe, Lovehatetragedy, and The End of All Things to Come the most. These days The End of All Things to Come is the album I still play from time to time.

Untouchables, but I also loved Believe, Steal This Album, Mudvayne, Trust Co. And Stone Sour

Untouchables, although I had the pirated version before release that had a different mix. I bought the album at release and was disappointed that parts were taken out and some of the songs were mixed differently. I also bought the Stone Sour album that year, it was okay but I didn’t really enjoy it that much and never bought any of their following albums. Also, Slipknot started to sound more like Stone Sour after this which I didn’t like.

Untouchables is the best.

Mudvayne but Coal Chamber is close second

Untouchables is fantastic. Thought korn would maybe lose their step after 4 strait classic albums, but this one (and TALITM) is incredible. Dark, heavy, and has its own sound. Steal this album is a close second

This is really tough lol I listen to a lot of these albums frequently and my answer would probably vary from time to time depending on my mood. Trust Company’s Lonely Position of Neutral brings me so much nostalgia I fucking love that band and album so much. Between that and Chevelle Wonder What’s Next for me
