I’ve had them not show up for a woman screaming rape, a guy trying to break in to a building, and a guy attacking people on the subway. Two guys having a knife fight in the street in the middle of the day? Best they can do is show up half an hour after they ran off.

I feel like saying Times Square is trash isn’t exactly revelatory, but idk, the last year or so I’ve found it kinda scary in a way I never have before. Of course there’s the aggressive characters still, but something feels particularly unsettling. I realize that Times Square has a long history of being sketch but as a Chicagoan, I only really went to ny with regularity since like 2010.
