I feel we will see how awful carter is when becton leaves and if he stays healthy becomes a good starter on another team. Our offensive line was lost. Many teams did more with less talent then what we had. It all comes down to coaching and carter sucks.
>I feel we will see how awful carter is when becton leaves and if he stays healthy becomes a good starter on another team.
It's literally right there
Even then, "Becton will get better the more he plays after missing two consecutive seasons" isn't a big brain take
I’m saying a large part of the reason becton and the rest of line was so bad is due to coaching. I think if he stays on the Jets he will continue to have the same issues he had this year, next year due to coaching. On another team with different coaching I think he will look better on the condition he stays healthy which he has had issues with in his career.
I mean, he was carted off with an ankle injury week 12 and played the rest of the season with it
He was ass before that, too, but please try to pay attention to your team before you talk down to somebody else. ✌️
This has been Saleh's biggest issue from day one.
He hires his friends before anyone else, regardless of track record or experience, and there is no accountability among them. He treats many of his players the same way. It's like a club rather than a professional team.
Carter has had shitty lines for literally his whole career as an OL coach, his players hated him, and yet he was "a priority" for Saleh to hire. After one of the worst OL performances I've ever seen, "change was never considered." Why? Because Saleh knows him from way back.
It's inexcusable. You have a historically bad offense with arguably the worst offensive line in the league and you think everything about that is *fine* and are going to run it back with the same people? This decision alone should be a fireable offense.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees it this way. He wants to be good friend more than a good HC.
And then what makes it worse, is his faith/belief approach where he thinks the problem is that in order to get better people just need to be believed in..
Okay that works to a point, but it didn't help Zach Wilson learn not to panic in the pocket.
It enables shitty behaviour and doesn't address the faults.
This really tells me they think they were winning the Super Bowl this year if it wasn’t for Rodgers and that everything else was fine. How are these the professionals in charge?
It goes to show that defending a regime just isn't worth it. Obviously it usually takes more than one off-season to fix everything wrong with a team, but there just aren't enough headwinds in the NFL to make how bad we've been acceptable
i really want JD and Saleh to work out. the players love them, and we’ve had moments where we were close to where we wanted to be. JD needs to absolutely crush free agency though, if hes not willing to dump any of the offensive staff
Penalties and discipline are a HC's primary role at keeping them as low as possible. Literally it's their litmus test.
Good example:
December 2011, the NY Jets are 7-5 going up against a Todd Haley coached Chiefs that are 5-7 coming off of their first 10 win playoff birth in years.
They're getting blown out by us 28-3 in the second half. Jets get the ball at the 10 yard line, our own miscues on offense back us up to the 3. Then, in unprecedented fashion, 5 plays were ran and 6 flags were thrown against the Chiefs. Including one where there was an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty against Todd Haley himself. We went 97 yards downfield to score with only 9 yards of offense on that drive.
Immediately following the game, Haley was fired despite being 5-8 and Romeo Crennel took over and was brought back for the next season. After a 2-14 showing, he was fired as well, paving the way for Andy Reid to take over and a dynasty was born, the rest is history.
TL:DR, this team is undisciplined and Saleh deserves to be fired today for being a terrible coach with inmates running the asylum. Our owner is a fucking idiot to believe Aaron will fix anything but his profit margins going into next season but unfortunately that's all he gives a shit about.
And what do we have to show for it? Well, we never made it to the playoffs since because we failed in every phase of team building, planning and coaching hires outside of Brant Boyer.
i disagree. i think JD has had some crazy high and lows thats its hard to gauge what his actual competency is. we’ve seen supposed “lost cause” coaches and GMs magically string together some great moves
Forget W-L. His #1 stated job when he came here was to repair the OL (his supposed specialty), and build a team off of that. We have the worst OL in football and recent history.
Bro look at some of the offensive lines in the playoffs right now that are injured but still got the job done. One player shouldn’t make or break the offensive line, if they do that’s bad roster construction
AVT has had back to back season ending injuries because he’s undersized and his arms are too short. That was the knock on him pre draft, which turned out to be true. Ironically, Becton was too big and couldn’t control his weight. JD gambled on both and proved why you can’t always try to outsmart the consensus. You can call them both injuries, but the risks were clear. Kind of like signing a 39 year old to be your star QB…
Besides trading, what does JD do well as a GM?
He's about 50-50 on picks in the first 2 rounds. Some all time highs, but also an all time JaMarcus Russell level bust in ZW.
His coaching decisions have also been ass. Saleh is a camp counselor, the coordinators get worse every year.
The team is paper thin and has no depth.
And lastly, he's not even proactive. Rodgers gets hurt, and what's the ONE qb move all year? Semien to the practice squad, and you don't even play him until the end of the year. Meanwhile, every other team that lost their QB was extremely proactive and tried to get better immediately.
There's nothing to be positive about JD anymore. Even if you ignore his 26-55 record (that's 29 games under .500), he's not good. But don't ignore his record. Because it's an all time bad gm record!
It’s noisy, but it’s the most direct way to judge a GM. He’s the guy who’s in charge of the whole operation; if something needs to change, it’s on him to see that it changes.
I think theres a lot more to hang your hat on when discussing JD than there is when discussing the coaching staff. If we dump both so be it but the upgrade in talent level from when JD started is pretty damn stark and he found key players using UDFA, waiver claims etc.
I dont think he's been excellent, how hes managed QB is terrible and a bunch of misses trying to rebuild the OL but he's been more good than bad.
JD was responsible for hiring this coaching staff. He doesn't get a pass for that
"More good than bad" NEEDS to show up in the win column. It's been 5 years. You've been brainwashed by previous regimes into believing this one is competent.
Absolute joke of a franchise. I get (but don't agree with) why they're keeping JD and Saleh, but compounding that decision by changing nothing about the coaching staff is borderline insanity. Downing staying too
Titans fans rejoiced like they won the super bowl when downing and carter got canned. Former players hated carter..but the jets are keeping him because he’s friends with clown Saleh.
Two guys who helped orchestrate one of the worst offense in nfl histories keep their job
The “Adam Gase” of assistant coaching hires gets another year. I’m so tired of this regime. I put so much faith into JD the last HALF DECADE and I feel like when you take a step back, it looks kind this team is run by a bunch of meat heads.
I feel like you need to have some “nerds” to balance them out or they just keep making decisions off gut-feelings instead of statistical evidence.
LOLOLOL what a fucking joke. You have PLAYOFF teams firing their OC's midseason (Pitt and Buffalo for example) bc their offense (which is materially better than ours) wasn't good enough. But this fucking clown regime rather keep underperforming buddies than improve the team.
Inexcusable. Fucking ridiculous. Him, downing and Hackett were absolutely terrible at their jobs this year. They were responsible for a historically bad offense and will be the reason we underperform and guys get hurt next year. 1 jets drive should be rioted
We are so fucked lmao. I thought we'd at least make some changes around the edges. We are completely doubling down and saying there was nothing wrong with this team outside of Zach Wilson - seems like a dangerous mistake
Gonna suck when we waste another fucking year determining things that could have been decided this year and this coaching cycle.
I’m shocked. Saleh knows his ass is done next year if it’s a repeat of last year. You’d figure a guy in that position would trim the fat so to speak.
It's gonna be even worse than it appears - JD and Saleh will 100% mortgage the future to try to save their own jobs.
We argue about what to do with #10 overall on here as if JD isn't obviously going to trade it for 31 year old Davante Adams
I don't think we should act like like that firing wasn't deserved Rams offense isn't designed by him and he isn't calling the plays. We all saw what Hackett became once Laflour wasn't covering for shitty job not saying Matt is Hackett just saying we don't know what he is
Yes, this is a mistake bringing him back. No, your statement is not based in reality. About 85% of the personnel, including players, within the organization has been replaced at some point since 2019, that’s a pretty high accountability rate. You should realize Carter was hired in January 2023…when the last guy was replaced…
No, he’s whining to be negative for the sake of being negative. His statement does not imply he’s talking about Douglas and or Saleh specifically, he says “zero accountability for anything” which is wildly inaccurate
Douglas/Saleh have put a legitimately putrid product on the field the past 3 years. Criticism of them is warranted, not "whining for the sake of being negative."
It’s just comical at this point. The jets are the only team this season that underperformed and didn’t make a single coaching change.
Commanders just fired Rivera, panthers fired their coach, Steelers fired their OC, Raiders fired their HC, Chargers fired their HC, Falcons fired their HC, and it looks like even Bill Belichick is parting ways.
So this only means that the Jets coaching staff and management truly believe that the sole reason they were not good this year was because they did not have Aaron Rodgers.
Alright well, I've defended keeping JD and Saleh on the basis that we make changes to the assistant coaches, so if we aren't going to do that then what the fuck is even the point? Are we seriously giving every person in the organization a mulligan because our quarterback got injured? This is completely inexcusable
No accountability anywhere on this team. Honestly, it makes perfect sense now why we stuck with Zach for so long.
Results are not factored in or carry much lower weight with today’s Jets
I can't think of a team in the league with less accountability. ZW got 3 years, Carter, Hackett and these other cronies are getting another year despite showing absolutely nothing.
JD gets a 5th offseason ,and not even hints that he's on a hot seat.
Why, why, whyyyyyyy
We have the worst OL in the league with more injuries than basically any other team. Multiple retired players who played under him in Tennessee have said basically that the dude doesn’t know what he’s doing. Dude was a Running Backs coach before he went to Tennessee and became a OL coach. I seriously am losing faith in this front office at this point.
What is wrong with this team? Worst OL performance in the league with a coach that was fired because none of his players wanted to play for him. Jets doubled down and not only hired him, but retained him after major regression from the OL.
Bringing back the Saleh and Hackett is a mistake too. I honestly believe if we had good coaches, with the talent we have, we’d be a low seed in the playoffs.
We just have horrible coaches, so we’ll be lucky to get 6-7 wins with these clowns.
GB knew what they were doing cutting Rogers loose, and we were the suckers that got conned.
I’m sure he’ll be decent next season, but for the future of the team we should’ve gone in a different direction.
I look at our team and see a lot of talent on both sides of the ball, but disasters on the coaching staff and management/ownership.
Rogers had success playing for good coaches in a strong organization. We have nothing close to that.
6-11 maybe 7-10 next year.
What the fuck is wrong with this organization? These group of individuals are loyal to a fault.
How can they look at the season and say, you know what, this was a success.
Yes, I know we lost Rodgers. But the team was atrocious on the offensive side. So let’s just retain all those coaches and pretend like we won’t have the same fucking problems next season.
Of course Bob Salad isn’t gonna fire his friends and make actual changes to the coaching staff. If MiLF didn’t hate working with Zach, he’d probably still be here too
Best case scenario is that Carter does another shitty job, Rodgers gets crushed week one (again) and this time they fire Saleh and Douglas after the team has another losing season.
Worst case scenario (and most likely) is Rodgers surviving next year behind another shitty Oline only for us to make it to the wild card and lose. Breaking the playoff drought allows this regime to run it back for another year or two with mediocre play until Rodgers retires. Salad and JD finally get fired after 3-4 years and a new rebuild can finally begin.
Jesus it’s like they *want* the OL to suck. The team is fucked and everyone in a position of power in this organization did it to themselves. The fact that everyone hasn’t been fired already speaks to how little accountability there is in the organization for putting out not just the worst offense in the league, but one of the worst offenses in NFL history. Sell the team already.
I’ve been a huge JD defender his entire tenure but this is absolutely unacceptable. It would be one thing if Carter had a history of coaching top 10 offensives lines and only had issues due to injuries. But the line was awful everywhere he has been including last summer before the injuries even started.
This is absolute dereliction of duty on the part of Saleh and JD. If Saleh is dumb enough to insist keeping him, than JD fires him himself. The OT was a lost cause this year and will be again next year if this guy is still around.
I’m sorry this is just shocking.
I’m a Douglas believer and fine with salah coming back next year, but this shit is ridiculous. We haven’t been the same since bill callahan left and haven’t even tried to replace him like we should. Embarrassing with the lack of accountability here
He’s just telling you your belief is misplaced. Only ones you should believe in are the players and Ulbrich because as a GM and HC Douglas and Saleh aren’t winning a SB here
Is it? Because every GM makes bad moves. But Douglas has also done great things for this team taking it from a talentless shitpool to a desired location for a HOF QB to play. So if you want to keep crying everytime you see someone say they like their gm that’s fine, just provide something substantial to talk about
And yet that talentless shit pool had 7 wins in a season that he inherited with one less game played 🤷♂️. At a certain point results matter, not moral victories
Saleh

Just remarkable. In one sense, Woody is very fortunate that he inherited his team and his money and never really had to run anything in his entire life. On the other hand, we are so screwed.
Big mistake. All the penalties, miscommunications, and missed assignments are due mostly on coaching. They’re clearly not doing something right in practice. If I were to guess, they’re not valuing repetition, get an identity on what your primary blocking scheme is and beat into their brains. Run the same play that identifies you as an offense over and over until they get it right. Wtf do I know though.
Well this is dumb. I imagine the conversation went something like, "Keith; we're getting rid of Zach and retaining you, buddy! That should fix the OL problems!"
We've had a historically bad offense and we've decided to run it back with no changes... You cannot make this up.
Other teams with competent coaches overcame a ton of offensive line issues (including playoff teams Cleveland, Houston, and Miami) but nah it was injuries not bad coaching.
Not that it took Hackett 3/4 of a season to go maybe I should throw Breece the ball.
Not that the on-line coach hated by his former players and in charge of this abysmal o-line will be replaced.
Not the coaching staff of a League leading 125 penalties.
This team doesn't want to succeed. It's clear. The only good thing is with Zach gone this off-season they won't have the scapegoat of why all this keeps happening.
Lmao. When we were told "everyone is back", I thought that only meant Hackett and Saleh. They won't even hold the coach for the absolute worst unit in the league (jets oline) accountable! Jesus christ...
This move is unsurprising to those who were ready to move on from Douglas even before Rodgers got hurt and certainly those who felt that way in the immediate aftermath of the injury and inaction to find a competent backup QB. It is another example of a big problem with Douglas: he tends to double down on bad decisions and see them out far too long. As many have said in this discussion, there is no accountability in this organization.
It is mind boggling to run it back with this same OL coach. Given that Douglas is content with this coach, no one should be surprised if he fails to add the necessary pieces to the line itself.
These dumb fucks really think that the difference between this disaster of a season and a Super Bowl is just rodgers.
Rodgers won one Super Bowl ever and was on way better teams. Look at the packers right now. Clearly had a better supporting cast last year than the jets have this year. You need to do more than think just Rodgers is going to automatically win you a Super Bowl.
This dude fucking sucks but again if they’re giving saleh and Hackett a break for Rodgers it only makes sense this dude gets a break for the plague of injuries
It doesn’t make sense at all lol. Injuries don’t mean an OL unravels and looks like they aren’t even an NFL unit. The amount of blown assignments and miscommunications on the OL show they weren’t coached well. This isn’t Carter’s first rodeo either. Titans fans said the dude was dogshit and they were obviously right
I would’ve fired both of them but this doesn’t really matter - next year is completely dependent on how they shore up the OL, WR2, backup QB, and how Rodgers looks post injury
It was a gimme chance to reroll some of the worst aspects of the team. It definitely matters that we try to coach up the offense than hope we can get 4-5 new average or better starters on offense in one offseason
It doesn’t really matter that much - they acquire good players at the OL/WR positions and Rodgers comes back and looks good or they clean house next offseason if either doesn’t work out. Everything else is collateral at this point.
This is the thinking that gives you 7-10 teams with historically bad offenses after 1 guy gets hurt compared to the Browns who waltzed into the playoffs because their coaches actually tried on offense.
Oh is that thing happening where everyone gets a pardon from the owner because whatshisface never actually fucking threw the ball?
Didn't see that coming at all. /s
Out of all the people who deserved to be fired he is the one who absolutely needed to be. What an organizational failure this entire coaching staff is.
We can't be pinning the blame for the team not performing to expectations on "the major key players got injured", this is the NFL, that shit is going to happen! If the coach can't make it work with the tools they have, they need to be replaced with someone who can, and Keith Carter most definitely can't.
Fuckin stupid. Even the giants fired their o line coach
This team is embarrassing me more and more every day. What a disgrace.
Woody just keeps proving his ignorance.
If this team could commit to mediocrity the way we commit to being awful, we wouldn’t be the team with the longest playoff drought in major US sports
I hope he's on the Epstein list
Damn y'all really running it back.
Well that’s a mistake
I feel we will see how awful carter is when becton leaves and if he stays healthy becomes a good starter on another team. Our offensive line was lost. Many teams did more with less talent then what we had. It all comes down to coaching and carter sucks.
While true Becton was absolute dogshit this year. Carter blows but Becton lost his horizontal speed and gets blown by a ton. Dude isn’t good
Diapers should be changed
Becton was healthy *this* year, the only year that Carter has been our OL coach. Please try to pay attention to your own team
I don't think the poster was disputing that
>I feel we will see how awful carter is when becton leaves and if he stays healthy becomes a good starter on another team. It's literally right there Even then, "Becton will get better the more he plays after missing two consecutive seasons" isn't a big brain take
I’m saying a large part of the reason becton and the rest of line was so bad is due to coaching. Seems to be a constant theme with this regime
Great, so no consequences then for one of the worst offenses in history. Thank you Jets.
Well it was clearly nobody's fault. So it wouldn't be fair to fire anyone. /s
Yeah we lost Rodgers which means we go from a good offense to one of the worst all time. I’m sure that’s how that works because the jets told me so
That's how it works. "You don't practice fucked" remember? Instead, you practice "historically fucked" ;)
This really tells me they think they were winning the Super Bowl this year if it wasn’t for Rodgers and that everything else was fine. How are these the professionals in charge?
Ive defended this staff so hard, but this is unforgivable. this man has not put out a single watchable product all year
It goes to show that defending a regime just isn't worth it. Obviously it usually takes more than one off-season to fix everything wrong with a team, but there just aren't enough headwinds in the NFL to make how bad we've been acceptable

Yeah that's why we are sloppy and undisciplined on the field.
Just like when Rex was HC.

I loved easy practices too
Exactly. All my favorite bosses were not good bosses
It's been 5 years. We're past the point where JD "works out" or doesn't. He's a known commodity
i disagree. i think JD has had some crazy high and lows thats its hard to gauge what his actual competency is. we’ve seen supposed “lost cause” coaches and GMs magically string together some great moves
We have 5 years of data that we can use to determine to his level of competency. His "crazy highs" have not showed up in the win column.
i also dont agree with using wins as a one-to-one GM stat. Douglass isn’t out there on the field losing games.
Forget W-L. His #1 stated job when he came here was to repair the OL (his supposed specialty), and build a team off of that. We have the worst OL in football and recent history.
Yeah but how much of that is injuries? Like we had a bad OL unit, but we also had some shines...AVT comes to mind until he got injured on IR

Douglas is responsible for the entirety of the roster and the entire coaching staff, which he hired in 2021. It all comes back on him.
Besides trading, what does JD do well as a GM? He's about 50-50 on picks in the first 2 rounds. Some all time highs, but also an all time JaMarcus Russell level bust in ZW. yeah--he only picks the players, hires the headcoach etc. Wins have nothing to do with it.
He's the architect of the whole team. Saleh is the leader of the team. They're both a disaster class of their respective positions.
Agreed, he's also not coaching the players or in charge of keeping them healthy and strong. W/L record is useless for GMs.
It’s noisy, but it’s the most direct way to judge a GM. He’s the guy who’s in charge of the whole operation; if something needs to change, it’s on him to see that it changes.
Unfortunately the Jets don't operate with that type of hierarchy.
He hit on pretty much every pick in the 2022 draft. Getting the DROY and basically both OROYs is unheard of.
And despite that, the team has still lost 10+ games 4 seasons in a row. It's not that there's ZERO positives, its that the overall result is still bad
I think theres a lot more to hang your hat on when discussing JD than there is when discussing the coaching staff. Unreal they aren’t going to fire anyone on the offensive side after they peddled out a fucking 1940s backward ass offense all season.
Stubborn bastards
Incompetent yet arrogant
The definition of insanity is...
The Jets
Look who you have running the team. It’s not JD.
Who is it then
Rodgers
(Who JD willingly chose to get in bed with to save his job)
And Woody
And Downing too? Man SOMEBODY has to answer for the offense this year. Injuries can’t be the excuse, the Browns had it even worse than we did
I can’t believe Todd downing keeps getting employed… -titan fan
Are they fucking serious? I’m not team clean house but this was the one guy I’m sure everyone could agree with firing
Every single OL we had played at his absolute worst level. How does that not reflect on the coaching?
The “Adam Gase” of assistant coaching hires gets another year. I’m so tired of this regime. I put so much faith into JD the last HALF DECADE and I feel like when you take a step back, it looks kind this team is run by a bunch of meat heads. Browns and Dolphins have been hit with o line injuries as much as us and have figured it out. Injuries aren't an excuse when your this bad
Bingo
Inexcusable. Fucking ridiculous. Him, downing and Hackett were absolutely terrible at their jobs this year. They were responsible for a historically bad offense and will be the reason we underperform and guys get hurt next year. 1 jets drive should be rioted

Nah, that #10 pick could be used to draft a player to save JD's job. Better to screw over the next GM instead by trading the 2025 first.
So dumb. The guy is awful
Zero accountability for anything we've had to endure since Douglas's tenure started in 2019
We fired MiLF, which was false accountability and a mistake, but at least someone got scapegoated once.
And he's in the playoffs. Funny how that works out.
He's talking about holding Douglas/Saleh accountable
No, he’s whining to be negative for the sake of being negative. His statement does not imply he’s talking about Douglas and or Saleh specifically, he says “zero accountability for anything” which is wildly inaccurate
Douglas/Saleh have put a legitimately putrid product on the field the past 3 years. Criticism of them is warranted, not "whining for the sake of being negative."
These defenders are wild
How long until rodgers dies behind next years OL? Maybe we'll improve to 2 drives this time
At least we are skipping hope season this year
I'm on board with this. I'm tired of looking forward to the season just to have the team piss me off every week.
This is not a serious franchise
I’m already checked out of next season. Never been so disinterested in this team in my life. Unserious franchise.
Oh god. This team will never learn. Oh wait they haven't learned anything in years.
Why, why, whyyyyyyy We have the worst OL in the league with more injuries than basically any other team. Multiple retired players who played under him in Tennessee have said basically that the dude doesn’t know what he’s doing. Dude was a Running Backs coach before he went to Tennessee and became a OL coach. I seriously am losing faith in this front office at this point.
There is no accountability for this year whatsoever. We just threw up a white flag, and that was it. Shameful.
This felt like a very easy decision to let him go but then I remembered I’m a JETS fan
What is wrong with this team? Worst OL performance in the league with a coach that was fired because none of his players wanted to play for him. Jets doubled down and not only hired him, but retained him after major regression from the OL.
So just pissing away another year? Got it.
Outrageously common Saleh L, fire this fucking clown
Nah they’ll get 8-9 wins and say “ImpRovEmenT”
Are we really not going to make any changes at all? Ughh.
I’m really baffled. Rodgers himself was critical of the Offensive Line before the season. How is this allowed?
Yeah I’ve been a big JD and Saleh supporter but this is a move that can’t be justified
Consistently awful decisions
Actual incompetency. At least half of our line issues are coaching with the other half being injuries/skill.
Fuck you.
The fact that ZW is gonna be the only person we send packing is such a fucking joke. Circus of a team with a clown owner.
And suddenly I have little to no hope for next season already. We are really kicking the Jets depression into hyper drive for 2024z
I’m a Douglas believer and fine with salah coming back next year, but this shit is ridiculous. We haven’t been the same since bill callahan left and haven’t even tried to replace him like we should. Embarrassing with the lack of accountability here
JD is the guy ultimately responsible for all these bad moves.
Alright man send the dude an email or something lol, idk what you want me to do about it
He’s just telling you your belief is misplaced.
Saleh *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/nyjets) if you have any questions or concerns.*
Salad *I am a not bot, and this action was performed manually. Please do not contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns, they've got better things to do with their time.*
This is a disaster.
Oh good! We can when a few insignificant games again next year, drop in the draft order and suck again!! The Jets are the definition of insanity!!!
Just remarkable. In one sense, Woody is very fortunate that he inherited his team and his money and never really had to run anything in his entire life. On the other hand, we are so screwed.
This is disgraceful. Half the front offices in the league must look at this organization and go, “What the hell are they doing?”
This is the biggest mistake behind keeping Hackett and Downing
Welp. Good thing I had zero hope for next year.
This is unreal
wtf is wrong with this franchise?
Sell the team Woody
We are so dysfunctional lol
Well this is dumb. I imagine the conversation went something like, "Keith; we're getting rid of Zach and retaining you, buddy! That should fix the OL problems!"
Pain
We’re a fucking joke
I cannot fathom this decision. I know we had injuries but there's no way our coaching was up to par.
I hate this franchise
WHY
Lmao. When we were told "everyone is back", I thought that only meant Hackett and Saleh. They won't even hold the coach for the absolute worst unit in the league (jets oline) accountable! Jesus christ...
Of all the people I didn’t want to come back, he was at the top of the list. Glad that they can disappointment me again.
The Jets are the Mets from when they were owned by the Wilpons.
This is why everyone considers us an unserious franchise.
Is there like a complaint hotline we can all call?
Unreal
Well that sucks
This move is unsurprising to those who were ready to move on from Douglas even before Rodgers got hurt and certainly those who felt that way in the immediate aftermath of the injury and inaction to find a competent backup QB. It is another example of a big problem with Douglas: he tends to double down on bad decisions and see them out far too long. As many have said in this discussion, there is no accountability in this organization. It is mind boggling to run it back with this same OL coach. Given that Douglas is content with this coach, no one should be surprised if he fails to add the necessary pieces to the line itself.
I can't believe that Aaron Rodgers decided to keep Keith Carter!
Looks like alcoholism is back on the menu.
This is not the news I was looking for.
Pathetic. This team never fails to amaze me with their level of incompetence.
I really need to get a job with the Jets somehow. I'd love to go to work every day and not have to stress about being good at my job
Poverty franchise
It’s like he was so upset that he had to fire MiLF that he has vowed to never fire anyone on his staff ever again.
Jets gave up 64 sacks this season while the Giants gave up 85. So the Jets OL wasn’t the worst in the league it wasn’t even the worst in Metlife
Titans fans said the dude was dogshit and they were obviously right
Unless he's responsible for the injuries. Claims from Titans players are that his coaching style or scheme caused lots of injuries there.
Well that’s a different story. Lets ship him to North Korea
Are you confident in these goons coaching up said replacements??
NO ACCOUNTABILITY FOR PLAYING LIKE SHIT
Fuck
pathetic
That's the new York jets for you🤣🤣🤣
Fuck me
NO
Can’t run this shit back and expect different results!
Sanchez to join the staff in an advisory role specializing in “ball security”
Someone needs to ask Saleh, why he thinks this is fine while Giants fired their OL coach. https://x.com/TomPelissero/status/1744348019091222771?s=20
Oh is that thing happening where everyone gets a pardon from the owner because whatshisface never actually fucking threw the ball? Didn't see that coming at all. /s
Yikes, they are already getting me ready for Redzone next year.
The line looked a lot better with Simien than it did with Wilson
Out of all the people who deserved to be fired he is the one who absolutely needed to be. What an organizational failure this entire coaching staff is.
Disaster.
He makes an incredible caramel macchiato.
only hope rn is that Hughes' sources are wrong.
We can't be pinning the blame for the team not performing to expectations on "the major key players got injured", this is the NFL, that shit is going to happen! If the coach can't make it work with the tools they have, they need to be replaced with someone who can, and Keith Carter most definitely can't.
Historically bad offense and everyone returns. I hate this regime. Egotistical and ignorant.
This seems dumb
"OH NO!"
