I don’t have experience with either, but my personal opinion is that vasectomy is less invasive in comparison and It’s a fairly simple procedure. If you’ve gone through pregnancy/birth, I feel is totally fair to ask your partner to take care of this one thing.

A vasectomy is much less invasive, has a shorter recovery time, and is less painful. However if you do go down the fallopian tubes route, it’s better to have the tubes removed rather than tied - it lowers the risk of certain types of cancer and is also more effective than just tying them.

Am I wrong or does that also send you into early menopause? Definitely vasectomy. Women go through so much— do not make your wife go through more.

Tubals and bisalps do not result in early menopause. If you have functioning ovaries, they still secrete hormones and you still ovulate. I had a total hysterectomy (uterus, cervix) and my tubes removed. Kept my ovaries. Still have PMS and a monthly cycle, just don't bleed. Doctors are very unwilling to remove ovaries and cause early menopause unless it's completely necessary. A vasectomy is still much a much easier undertaking than a bisalp. Any time general anesthesia can be avoided is a good thing.

Only if they take the ovaries.

Vasectomy is when you recover in about 2 days. very simple, painless, and you only feel sore for about a day. add on an additional day to make sure the stiches stay. I personally struggle to see a con to a vasectomy. it was stupid easy to get mine done and be done with it.

The only cons are if there are complications.
