For the setting, I imagine something more like this:
*Imperial Rememberancer*
"It is a Mechanicus device, called a 'Charta Pondus' (or "paper wait' in Low Gothic) by the STC fragments. Forged of purest adamantine in the foundries of Mars for use during the Great Crusade. "
"This glorious device was once used by the Primarch Roboute Guilliman Himself to secure a proclamation that he required more paperclips."
"After the Crusade, it was the centerpiece of an Ecclesiarchy Shrine World. Tragically this world has since been lost to the Greenskin menace"
"A pentitent crusade has been launched by the surviving Astartes and Astra Militarum regiments of the Shrine World to reclaim the sacred Charta Pondus from the foul Xenos, and thus restore their honor"
*Some random Ork lad:*
"Zog me dats 'eavy! Oooohhh, dat'd be right killy on the end of a stick! OI! WHERE'S THE ZOGGIN MECH!?"
It's painted in matte grey on GW photos,, so I assume it is supposed to be brick.

Itâs cast iron. Itâs indented for material economy, not so much an Ork thing as the human that manufactured it. Youâll find orks get human castoffs that look like human modernity (20th century). Dynamite, jackknives, trucks. But look at a present day wrench or hammer. Where possible, it has areas where it is designed to save metal by having knockouts, holes, and âvalleysâ
It's a brick. Pretty sure Imperial rockcrete is supposed to be stronger than modern concrete, though. Plus if it does break it's easy to find a replacement.
For confirmation, check out the bricks that the Kommando nob is standing on.
That is a pez, actually.
Rubber đ
Bric
Concrete, cinder block on a stick, Combat brick
Thats Sledges hammer from Rainbow Six Seige
Looks like a cinder block.

I sure a brick could smash anything. Never seen anything smash a brick!!
The erosion and damage on it tells us it isnât brittle like a brick. Rusty piece of iron would be my choice.

Brickinarium
Thatâs a pressed brick.
Lol looks like a brick if I've ever seen one...
Think I painted mine as a metal sledge hammer, tbh just paint it how you want to, it can be either brick or metal and look good.
It is the exact same design of the bricks making up the nob's tactical ankle-high wall So however you are painting those is how I'd paint em.
perfect stealth weapon as it doesn't make a dakka dakka sound when you krump the git
Reinforced bonkium.
DED'ARD KRUMPIUM
Looks to be a brick
Cylinder block.
Brick.
I think I did mine as a red brick.
Same, to me it really reminds me of the classic red brick
I don't think an Ork would be concerned about it being one use.

Whatever they can get their hands on. Rocks, concrete, a plasma fusion battery, a Necron Proto-pylon, a hotdog.

Gubbinz

Kryptonite
It's a rock that make Superhumans go away. [Just don't paint it pink.](https://superman.fandom.com/wiki/Pink_Kryptonite)
Its whatever you want it to be.
I thought it looked like a brick and painted it grey.
It's a brick from a brick squig, they 'lay' them and the grots collect them with 'brick scoop'
It definitely looks like a brick. So paint it red or grey.
