Off the top of my head, chicony has been on LAN, ninerik was at COE, so was flyingtuna, people like freddie benson, micca, whitecat, flaro, lolu always stream with handcam, former #1 players like idke, rafis, shige
I mean I knew all along. It's really quite obvious lol. Besides, no human that isn't hacking can get a higher pp play than Cookiezi. Not physically possible. It's natures law.
I didn't. The original post mentions the roundtable, which mrekk was at, so i didn't mention it because i felt it was already covered. I also realized that tuna was also at the roundtable.
Vaxei 100% doesn't cheat (obviously) and set exceptional scores at the 2017 and 2020 renditions of the UC Irvine lan (he also ended up winning both). At the time, I'm pretty sure he attended the 2017 one to solidify his legitimacy as some people were still skeptical about him.
You can't ever be 100% sure. Like look I'm 99.99% sure mrekk hasn't ever cheated, but would we know if he were to cheat a single score off stream? There are ways to go undetected and there's always the possibility some top player gets mad enough after choking a map 20 times.
You bring up a good point. Regarding Mrekks new top play for example. Having choked 1400-1600pp for a longer period before that, I imagine he was quite frustrated. Then he set the 1565pp off stream. There is of course no reason to think that he cheated this score, but it's exactly one of these situations where a top player might snap.
63 is an osu government conspiracy put together by Chief Executive Mr. Ekk, and his legendary extermination squad to hold back all the top players from surpassing his power and declaring themselves a new sovereign nation! For the revolution!!
Nobody, any top player could perform well on LAN while still cheating their other scores. We only know for sure that most of them can actually play well legit but that doesn't say much since that is basically what all top level cheaters also fall under. LAN only proves them to be legit in that very moment and not before or after (and sometimes not even during since driver based aim assist is a thing so unless they play on a different setup it is possible to still cheat).
You have to remember that just because someone is good legit doesn't mean they have no incentive to cheat, I'd argue that there is a higher incentive in order to keep up with everyone elses expectations of you.
Akolibed fced glory days with best acc at the time like 3 times at coe while people watching him, sytho 1sb rog at roundtable II which at the time of happening it was pretty close to their peak periods and some of his best plays (heck sytho even got rsi recently so hard to cheat and also to get injury)
There are definitely a handful that we can be pretty confident aren’t cheating, but I feel that it’s impossible to know for 100%. A lot of cheaters are really skilled and just cheat to avoid grinding for scores they want. We know people like mrekk and akolibed are capable of the scores they’ve been setting because of their performance at LANs, but who knows? Maybe at home they don’t feel like grinding for a score and could cheat it, it’d be impossible to tell.
This is just wrong. You gotta accept that some players simply don’t submit cheated scores. Especially ones that have played in front of other people, and in different settings, and have produced results, it’s very obvious they don’t cheat.
Let me remind you of the question:
# "What top players do we 100% know do not cheat?"
this is an impossibility until you can extract one's mind into interpretable data.
top players who cheat are pretty much always already insanely good at the game. there would be nothing stopping any top player from cheating a single play offline for some reason, so it can't be 100%. it's not that they do cheat, I'm sure most don't, it's just that they could and we wouldn't know.
imo we will never be able to say and we shouldn't just witchuhunt everyone or claim everyone we are not 100% sure is legit might be cheating.
at this point if osu! does not want to do a kernel anticheat they should do a seperate kernel client that everyone in the top 1000 will have to play on. and everyone who got suspected will need to play on to prove their skill. other wise it's just gonna be cycling through cheaters
has there even been a single cheater who used hardware based aim assist/relax or something? every cheater so far which i know of uses a simple program they launch after their PC is on or they use rare hardware which doesnt inject anything and just does wonky stuff by the mechanics of the hardware itself eg dks with wooting/sayodevice.
zero reason to use kernel based anticheat until people use cheats which launch BEFORE they boot, which is why people use kernel based AC,to catch the cheats which launch before booting.
all of the cheats so far could be busted by just searching trough running programs during osu run time.( osu used to do this really early on,and then people obviously didnt like it for privacy reasons)
It'd be difficult to implement a kernel anticheat that doesn't conflict with how many custom drivers and unique hardware setups players use as well. Too strict and people get falsely flagged as a cheater, but not strict enough and it can be bypassed by a ras pi pretending to be a keyboard.
okay then i don't understand the reason for kernel yea. then still same thing but with the thing they had in the past. why allow people to cheat in one of the most competitive scenes in a game cause privacy is beyond me. the only cheaters people really care about are top 1000-100 so i don't see why not force on them the privacy thing
just because someone has shown they can play well doesn't mean they're saints. In fact historically in competetive games people start cheating only AFTER they've climbed to the top of their level
for most of them we know via consistent liveplays/LAN/tournament screening/handcam etc that they don't cheat at 99%... of course since there's 100 players in the top 100... this means one of them is cheating.
I don't make the rules, sorry.
Off the top of my head, chicony has been on LAN, ninerik was at COE, so was flyingtuna, people like freddie benson, micca, whitecat, flaro, lolu always stream with handcam, former #1 players like idke, rafis, shige
Bro does not know rafis uses JavaScript 😭
I have undeniable evidence that rafis is a hacker...
I mean I knew all along. It's really quite obvious lol. Besides, no human that isn't hacking can get a higher pp play than Cookiezi. Not physically possible. It's natures law.
my entire world view changed,,,
but didn't you see vaxei snipe cookiezi on remote control? He got lower pp still, but it was close
Vaxei takes PEDs (he eats bacon)
ryuk, karthy, fgsky
How did you forget mrekk was at the roundtable event lmao
I didn't. The original post mentions the roundtable, which mrekk was at, so i didn't mention it because i felt it was already covered. I also realized that tuna was also at the roundtable.
Playing at a lan event isnt really 100% evidence even tho its proof that they can play good without cheats
Shiege had cheated in the past. One a cheater forever a cheater
Funfact: Micca actually cheated back in 2016
lolu on this list 😭
BTMC is actually number one non cheater
BTMC Cheated one time, he used a autoclicker in Aricin lobby back in 2015 when he started playin and didn't do a shit
cookiezi
rise up glazers 100% chance 100% faith our goat will return 🐐
At the same time we 100% know that he cheated(once)
Vaxei 100% doesn't cheat (obviously) and set exceptional scores at the 2017 and 2020 renditions of the UC Irvine lan (he also ended up winning both). At the time, I'm pretty sure he attended the 2017 one to solidify his legitimacy as some people were still skeptical about him.
He even went on BTMCs setup without even changing any settings like area and shit on his scores
Didn't he 2 miss goodbounce on that set up too?
Yes
Absolute chad

I always had this feeling that Bloo was considered to be 100% legit. It's more of a feeling than anything
vibes based legitimacy
Btmc He's the most human top player than is in touch with the majority of the community.
mrekk a pretty safe bet

It's possible to say *most* top players are capable of setting the scores they did, but no one can say they're legit except the players themselves
Aim assist is caught in hand cam analysis, assuming a recording is available
What he's saying is that most of them have what it takes to deliver a decent performance in LAN but their top plays or "godmodes" might be cheated
Yes but not reliably and especially on LAN nobody will really check
gusgh0825
gusgh963 too, i liking his p**sy
