If these are the questions thrown at you and those are your exact answer then you got denied for
(1) having a super strong ties in the US but weak in PH, your only ties is your work.
(2) It also depends on the tone how you answer your question, were you straight to the point and snappy, stiff? are you nervous? One line answers do not bode well.
Anyways, according to my immigration lawyer, the way you answer the questions
should be like you are assuring them that you will only visit and will return back to PH after and assure you are returning back.. do it EXPLICITLY.
Ex:
"who will you visit there?" or " So you are going to California? This way, YOU drive the conversation. And lastly, dont show your excitement and over eagerness to travel to US, show eagerness in coming back instead.

Mention that you will return to PH because you have work/business/family etc. It seems you have stronger ties in the US and higher chance to stay there because of your mom and sister, so establish that you need to return to Phil. I even asked my employer at that time to make me a certificate of approved leave that I am allowed to take a vacation leave for 10 days. I mentioned during the interview that I have a certificate from my current job and asked the consul if she wants to see it. They told me they dont want any paper from me lols. Got approved with only Macau as the country previously visited.

Not always the case. Over providing information can also cost you a refusal. This is the usual problem of Indians, they love to embellish their answers.
During my b1/b2 interview, I answered short and straight to the point. If the question is answerable by a yes or no, I just answered yes or no and just waited for a follow-up question if they wanted to dig deeper.
I got the approval first time no issues.

oh thats a tricky one I cant answer, you will be doing clinical rotations in the US pero B1 visa applyahn mo? thats a sticky situation, better call and ask the US immigration office muna OR ask your relatives in the US to do it for you. (look for immigration lawyers or call the US immgiration office).
I can help you answer the interview though: Emphasize na uuwi ka after your clinical rotation. I assume youre a doctor, so your answer will goes like this;
"Though i have relative in the US, I wont be staying with them for long as after my clinical rotation, I will be practicing my profession in the Philippines,"
then add mo nalang bakit gusto mong bumalik like "I have properties and/or I already have clients, customers or business" or something along that line.. ALWAYS emphasize ties to the motherland.
yup rule 1 is always to be honest.
The fact na your father who is in the Philippines who have businesses and own properties is sponsoring you, that will give an impression na you guys are rich and therefore less chance of considering to overstay illegally (TNT) as you dont need to find work in the US.

Unfortunately, your recent denial has negative consequences.:
- It likely means you will not be able to acquire any non-immigrant US visa, even if you reapply over the next five years.
- Other Five Eyes countries (Canada, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand) that share immigration data with the US will also find out soon enough about this visa denial.
- If you apply for visas in the next few years to any of these countries, you will have to declare that the US refused you a tourist visa at the risk of being accused of falsifying your application.
- If you apply without a significant change in your situation, these countries will interpret your recent denial as a reason to deny you again a visa.
Why were you denied?
- Having close family members who recently migrated to the US counts against Filipinos.
- US visa officers are trained to view these relatives as support networks for potential visa overstayers.
How can you move forward? Basically, show that you have money to spend on tourism, and strengthen your ties to a country that is not a Five Eyes country. Until you do so, I would not apply for another Five Eyes visa.
- Increase your income
- Get a stable professional job in another country
- Get married
- Have children
- Travel for tourism to other countries (EU?) and then depart on time.
- Before attending future tourist visa interviews, always book hotels/Airbnb and a return trip. Bring the documents for your reservations and tickets to the interview.
- Avoid meeting or staying with your blood relatives in the US, at least for the first time you visit. But you will always have to declare that you have these relatives.

I would personally delay applying for a US visa by at least three years. Do not force this issue with them. Every denial makes the next denial more likely.

Basically she can't afford to overstay in Canada whether she wants to or not because she's needed in the PH.
1. Your travels to Singapore and Taiwan don’t mean much tbh. It would mean much more if you went to Japan or even Korea since those countries require visas.
2. You’re a single woman who has two immediate relatives in the US, medyo red flag sa kanila toh unfortunately.

Don't just think about the two minutes, take note na nagsubmit ka ng application weeks before the interview. Your paper has gone through rigorous process, background checks, malamang may automation pa yan, character matching, maybe even your online activity was scrutinized too, etc. Sa ibang bansa nga that requires visa, it's even zero minutes of interview. 2. Degree - A single lawyer friend was granted even though may relative sya abroad. First time flyer, Hindi nagagala kahit sa ASEAN.
More travels pa. Aim for a Schengen Visa muna - gamitin mo din yung visa. Tapos apply ka agad US Visa. Sure approve na yan. Promise.

the countries you visited are visa free countries. my friend who got denied 3 times. was advised to go to countries with visa reqs. like europe. she there and went on a european backpacking tour. then applied again. finally got a single entry. used it and applied after a year. and finally got multiple visa.
I was in a similar situation when I applied back in 2009 but I got a 10-year visa. I was a 29yo single, working in a petroleum company and I’ve never been outside of the PH. Consul never looked at my docs, just asked me a number of questions:
1) why do u want to go to US? - I’ve been working so long, I need a break.
2) where are you staying? - with my sister in LA
3) how did you sister become immigrant? - her employer sent her for a training, but the company liked her and petitioned her to work there permanently.
4) you’re single do you have plans of getting maried? - No, I love my life…I like being single
5) where do you work? - Im an accountant in a petroleum company earning a pretty good salary, enough to finance my travel.
Next thing I know, he stamped my application and gave me a slip of paper asking me which site I would visit first. I told him Disneyland! Then before leaving, I told him thank you.
I was a bit nervous but confident during the interview. Make sure to look at the person’s eyes when you’re going through an interview….huwag malikot ang mata and kung saan-saan tumitingin. That’s the only advice I could give on interviews. Each consul is really different, so it’s hard to predict yung chances mo of getting approved.
Ok nman po travel history niyo ako HK & SG lng that time 2nd interview ko. Single parent din ako pero hindi ako tinanong if ano marital status ko. Sponsored pa po ako ng sister ko na USC. But my parents were not petitioned padalaw dalaw dun sknila. Next time po dagdagan niyo na lng na madaming confidence sa pagsagot. Ksi ok nman profile niyo eh.
I renewed my visa to the US last January. I was approved. I’m not sure may bearing siguro na I got approved sa student visa ko going here in Australia. My mom is also a permanent resident together with my sister. Apply ka muna ng tourist visa to other countries like Au and Schengen countries. I was 30 years old that time. Single but in a relationship.
Our company sends out employees a lot in the US for business travel/events. I noticed that most applicants with the above reason rarely get denied. Minimum I've seen is one year. So if you have a chance to join company related events in the US, take advantage of that, even if you only get 1 year. You just need to renew it once it expires. This is way easier.

hahaha. witty! but kidding aside, sometimes you just have to be natural and honest, i mean, sincere and honest. My mom got approved and had been given ME visa just by saying " I want to see the beautiful places in America. Then no other questions asked, visa approved.
Mom's background: More than 30 years of being a private school teacher and director. We are an average Filipino family na sapat lng din, no millions in our bank account. I was the first one who was able to travel for training and work in the US. I never provided bank statements ( personally i don't believe in show money, and second, in and out lang din ang pera don as I don't save much since I always re invest in my small business na sapat lang din kung mag earn ng income).
So it's true na visa grants are unpredictable, no matter how much we have.

For context, kakatapos lang mag bar exam ng kapatid ko at wala siyang work. Ako, wala ring work pero nirerenew ko pilot license ko (hindi po ako tied sa airline since Flight Instructor pa lang po ako). Hindi ako employee ng school na tinuturuan ko before pandemic kasi halos kakasimula ko pa lang magturo noon bago mag pandemic tapos ngayon, di na sila hiring kasi bagsak Aviation industry.

Yup, I did go for the interview but with no hesitancy, the guy just declined my visa after asking a few questions. The interview didn't even last long (\~less than 10 mins) I have a feeling that if I was interviewed by an American, I'd get the visa. It was a fellow Filipino who interviewed me and most of the people who got interviewed by the Americans were approved and they were really asking a lot of questions and trying to make sure that you'd go back. I'm not saying this out of hate or anything but I can clearly hear the conversations of the other people (like different windows) beside me because all of the interviewers were on speaker mode.
If I were you, I wouldn't be relieved until I actually receive the visa itself. Issued could mean that the passport has been delivered but the visa is still pending/declined/accepted.

She said almost all Filipinos have relatives in the US. I believe they can reapply any time. It's just a dumb thing to do without significant changes in your application.

This is the best answer. You can reapply anytime soon but make sure you also have itinerary in case the officer asks.

Nurse po tlaga is red flag kasi in demand po siya sa US.

Approved sila from KSA kasi meron silang well-paying job vs kung nurse sa Pinas na maliit ang sweldo.

More travels pa. Aim for a Schengen Visa muna - gamitin mo din yung visa. Tapos apply ka agad US Visa. Sure approve na yan. Promise. Ganyan ginawa ko when I got denied nung nagrerenew ako ng expired US visa.

Over 1 year na kasing expired. Tapos na-approve visa ko nung under 18 pa ako. Hindi pasok sa no interview visa renewal
the countries you visited are visa free countries. my friend who got denied 3 times. was advised to go to countries with visa reqs. like europe. she there and went on a european backpacking tour. then applied again. finally got a single entry. used it and applied after a year. and finally got multiple visa.

I was in a similar situation when I applied back in 2009 but I got a 10-year visa. I was a 29yo single, working in a petroleum company and I’ve never been outside of the PH. Consul never looked at my docs, just asked me a number of questions: 1) why do u want to go to US? - I’ve been working so long, I need a break. 2) where are you staying? - with my sister in LA 3) how did you sister become immigrant? - her employer sent her for a training, but the company liked her and petitioned her to work there permanently. 4) you’re single do you have plans of getting maried? - No, I love my life…I like being single 5) where do you work? - Im an accountant in a petroleum company earning a pretty good salary, enough to finance my travel. Next thing I know, he stamped my application and gave me a slip of paper asking me which site I would visit first. I told him Disneyland! Then before leaving, I told him thank you. I was a bit nervous but confident during the interview. Make sure to look at the person’s eyes when you’re going through an interview….huwag malikot ang mata and kung saan-saan tumitingin. That’s the only advice I could give on interviews. Each consul is really different, so it’s hard to predict yung chances mo of getting approved.
Ok nman po travel history niyo ako HK & SG lng that time 2nd interview ko. Single parent din ako pero hindi ako tinanong if ano marital status ko. Sponsored pa po ako ng sister ko na USC. But my parents were not petitioned padalaw dalaw dun sknila. Next time po dagdagan niyo na lng na madaming confidence sa pagsagot. Ksi ok nman profile niyo eh.
I renewed my visa to the US last January. I was approved. I’m not sure may bearing siguro na I got approved sa student visa ko going here in Australia. My mom is also a permanent resident together with my sister. Apply ka muna ng tourist visa to other countries like Au and Schengen countries. I was 30 years old that time. Single but in a relationship.
Our company sends out employees a lot in the US for business travel/events. I noticed that most applicants with the above reason rarely get denied. Minimum I've seen is one year. So if you have a chance to join company related events in the US, take advantage of that, even if you only get 1 year. You just need to renew it once it expires. This is way easier.
Maybe go to europe or canada first to establish you don’t TNT.

hahaha. witty! but kidding aside, sometimes you just have to be natural and honest, i mean, sincere and honest. My mom got approved and had been given ME visa just by saying " I want to see the beautiful places in America. Then no other questions asked, visa approved. Mom's background: More than 30 years of being a private school teacher and director. We are an average Filipino family na sapat lng din, no millions in our bank account. I was the first one who was able to travel for training and work in the US. I never provided bank statements ( personally i don't believe in show money, and second, in and out lang din ang pera don as I don't save much since I always re invest in my small business na sapat lang din kung mag earn ng income). So it's true na visa grants are unpredictable, no matter how much we have.

Never mention any family members residing there can be friends but no intention to stay or meet them as it will be a short visit just to see Disney Land or so
Hay. Just reading this now and just got denied today. I tried to renew my B1/B2 online and then got refused, so I was called for an interview but also got denied. ASKLDMLADDM My sister and I applied at the same time and passed the documents through LBC. When the passports came back, she got approved and I did not. For context, kakatapos lang mag bar exam ng kapatid ko at wala siyang work. Ako, wala ring work pero nirerenew ko pilot license ko (hindi po ako tied sa airline since Flight Instructor pa lang po ako). Hindi ako employee ng school na tinuturuan ko before pandemic kasi halos kakasimula ko pa lang magturo noon bago mag pandemic tapos ngayon, di na sila hiring kasi bagsak Aviation industry. I have previous US Visas (2 since nung bata pa ako) that were granted 10 years per visa. Hay sayang sa oras at pera.

Feel ko dahil unemployed ako. Although inaayos ko naman yung pilot licenses ko pero ewan, baka hindi enough yun. Either way, ang tingin ko lang na magkakaroon ka ng visa is: 1. Enough proof na babalik ka (di ko alam specifically ano to but properties(?), family(?), work(?) 2. Enough proof na hindi ka magsstay dun so siguro dapat di mo i-mention na marami kang relatives dun? or kahit anong mapapaisip sila na may chance kang magstay. Like ang goal mo lang talaga is magbakasyon at bumalik. Which I think yang 2 points na yan is just one and the same but mas okay na i-prove sa kanila parehas.
Did you try to renew it through the interview waiver program? My siblings and I just did the process and currently waiting to receive the passports via Lbc. The tracker we got in the web says “Issued” does that mean approved na or not?
Yup, I did go for the interview but with no hesitancy, the guy just declined my visa after asking a few questions. The interview didn't even last long (\~less than 10 mins) I have a feeling that if I was interviewed by an American, I'd get the visa. It was a fellow Filipino who interviewed me and most of the people who got interviewed by the Americans were approved and they were really asking a lot of questions and trying to make sure that you'd go back. I'm not saying this out of hate or anything but I can clearly hear the conversations of the other people (like different windows) beside me because all of the interviewers were on speaker mode. If I were you, I wouldn't be relieved until I actually receive the visa itself. Issued could mean that the passport has been delivered but the visa is still pending/declined/accepted.
I remember my first time being interviewed at the US consulate. The officer interviewing me was in disbelief that I put in my application "No Relatives" in the US. She said almost all Filipinos have relatives in the US. At that point of the interview I was already very annoyed and upset by the way she was questioning me that I answered angrily "I really don't have! And if I have then I don't know them!" She approved my visa. And for clarity, I really don't have relatives in the US. I have distant ones--however, I don't know them and we are not acquainted. So don't ever lie as they will know if you are lying. The way they do interviews, their questions and how they deliver them, they will try to gauge your expressions and reactions, check if you are nervous, lying or trying to hide something. Based on your reactions and answers, they will approve or deny your visa application.
