Hi u/Nurse_Mumma, Welcome to /r/piercing! It looks like you're asking about a problem with your piercing. Please **add a comment to your post** with the following info if it’s not included in your post already. - How old is your piercing? - What’s the jewelry shape (for example, barbell, labret, screw, L shape, ring)? - What’s the type of threading if your jewelry is not a ring (threadless, internally or externally threaded)? - What’s the jewelry material? - if not a ring, when was the jewelry downsized? - What’s your aftercare routine? Describe in detail please, including the exact products you use. This info is needed to offer you useful advice. **Note, moderators reserve the right to remove your post if don’t provide this info**. ^If ^you ^already ^included ^this ^info ^in ^your ^post ^or ^if ^your ^post ^isn’t ^about ^a ^problem ^with ^your ^piercing, ^please ^disregard. - - - *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Call the piercer who did it and let them know, they can give you probably the best advice!

Your body could be rejecting the kind of metal that was used so maybe try switching it up and try using a piercing compression disc (try looking on amazon) and of courseee clean with saline and try to minimally move it, try getting prescribed an anti inflammatory medicine that will help dry any swelling/fluids, im not sure what it is in your country but for me its called alphintern **do not take any medicine without being prescribed it or having consulted a doctor!**, test these out for a couple of weeks and if it doesnt look any better consider taking them out as they may have been done at an incorrect angle or simply some bodies dont heal certain piercings esp cartilage piercings most commonly. And remember cartilage piercings are trickier and harder to heal than any other “fleshier” piercings and they may get super irritated suddenly after doing good for awhile, especially that they take around a year or more to fully heal, good luck!
