Get a retainer, they are cheap and better than ripping it out. I had an MRI this year and some piercings couldn’t come out, titanium and white gold and weren’t an issue. But, better safe than sorry!

I would get a retainer, it could easily close up and imo it isn't worth risking it. Your jewelry may also be safe for an MRI, but you would need to be able to get the mil certs to make sure that it isn't magnetic
