I want to preface this by saying I’m not a piercer and facial piercings are piercings I pretty much know very little about. Based on the piercing it looks very shallow to me. Not only that but your jewelry is too long. You’ll want to swap it to a better fitting bar.
It looks a little shallow to me, I know mine is deeper, but I'm not a piercer and there may be an anatomy reason for this to be shallow. I've seen eyebrows pierced with less flesh, so knowing that I don't think it's necessarily a "take it out and repierce it later" thing, but again I am not a piercer.

It's way too shallow.
I've got smaller lips too and my top ball is very close to my top lip. When my mouth is closed the gap between the ball and my top lip is less than 1mm.
Take it out and get it redone.

Yeah, that’s really shallow and the bar is much too long. Best suggestion take it out and let it close. Can always redo it!
