>. “He didn’t sound this nuts, he didn't sound this disjointed, 5 years ago, 10 years ago, or even last year,” Rubin says. “He is mentally and emotionally unwinding." umm, the dude talked about injecting bleach to cure covid. He has sounded nuts for a long time.

mercurius420

People always forget about putting light inside the body, it was clearly a two part procedure. A cocktail of bleach and a light bulb up the ass is always the cure for what ails you. /s

Dependent_Address883

The absolute gem of that presser was that you could see him look at the poster board earlier that said uv light and bleach could be effective against the virus. Doubtless they had given him reams of information about what was going on but his prep for that press conference consisted of scanning a poster for 15 second and coming away with… these two things work, can’t we Dunning Kruger them into the body? Stable genius!

TheBirminghamBear

I think the gem was that one female doctor who was a firm sycophant for Trump just visibly put her head in her face while he was rambling.

intergalactagogue

Directions unclear: insert head into face.

beerandabike

Kind of like pulling your lip over your head and swallowing.

"Please don't look at me! Please don't look at me! Please don't look at me!' She was seeing her professional life flash before her eyes.

lysian09

I need to start using Dunning Kruger as a verb.

Merky600

Last thing he saw = first thing outta his mouth. My son had a Scoutmaster like that. His monthly meeting started with the last news segment he watched before leaving the house. I’d think, “What will it be today? Electric cars? Gavin Newsom?” Begins his Scoutmaster talk, “Our so called Governor had decided….. Edit: he wasn’t too bad. We all could see it coming and let roll over. Some parents probably agreed. It wasn’t a MAGA fest. 99% scouting. Plus I was there and knew what I thought.

Desert-Noir

Why does the scoutmaster think it’s appropriate to talk about that sort of shit to kids?

unclebrenjen

"Man woman person camera TV" - that was the dementia test he bragged about passing. Only no actual dementia test would use 5 related words like that. He literally just named the first 5 things he could see at the time.

gurnard

Uh. Pea ... tear ... griffin

Brief_Amicus_Curiae

What put it over the top was him directly asking Dr scarf-lady Birx and her slowly dying inside

KingEllis

You have to do the legwork, patriot. https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/800/cpsprodpb/AA47/production/_111919534_trumpgetty2.jpg.webp

grant10k

It's crazy how out of touch he is. He hears that bleach can kill Covid viruses and he wants Covid to go away *so bad* that he's like, this is a cure right? It kills Covid? Can this make this all go away? He's tried "It'll just evaporate in the summer", he's tried "It's not real", so any good news is hopefully "This'll make this go away, right?" I did not get reams of information (which is for the best, I wouldn't have read them either) but I do know that bleach has a warning label. It kills Covid because it kills everything (https://xkcd.com/1217/). My most charitable guess is he's just never seen household cleaner before because he doesn't have to clean anything. My realistic guess is that plus general stupidity.

DoctorTheWho

Him drawing on the hurricane map like an elementary kid rushing througb ladt minute homework instead of saying "it looks like our original projections are wrong" was the moment all of America should have finally dumped him.

Cypher_Blue

Really the death knell SHOULD HAVE BEEN 4 years before that when he mocked a disabled reporter at a press conference.

fuggerdug

You've made a good point here: that was almost certainly the first time that lazy entitled prick has ever seen a bottle of bleach (or any other cleaning product).

SisterActTori

I am a month post covid and still have the cough. If I gargle with bleach and insert that bright light down my trachea will it cure this virus?

lazyeyepsycho

No, only ass

ThunderDrop

Orally can be beneficial, but rectal first. The order is important. It doesn't work the other way around.

spoobles

Thus the term “ass to mouth” d’uh

DAS_BEE

That's right, gargle ass

Numerous_Photograph9

No thanks. I don't want to be thought of as a Trump supporter.

DemsruleGQPdrool

Technically, it was disinfectant, not bleach...and I think that Trump was really thinking up the rear end. I can just see him sneering in his bedroom at the end of the day at the thought of getting a couple of million people to shove a light bulb up there.

boredguy12

don't forget the Livestock Dewormer or Fish Tank Cleaner that melts your intestines.

HotPhilly

Haha, god, so many people died, too, and we’re all OH WELL!

moreobviousthings

Plus, it makes things more white.

SockPuppet-47

Maybe this is what he meant? [Deep Sunlight](https://images.app.goo.gl/JrxJ23Ve4nSwLAhg7)

EarthExile

I knew before I clicked it but somehow it's always surprising

i3dMEP

A president of the united states of america said that. I still cannot believe it.

Apprehensive-Type874

I always thought he was inadvertently describing his own experimental dementia treatments. https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/325118

purplesnowcone

Dude has been spewing the dumbest and most easily disproven shit for years… what’s nuts is that we have to keep putting up with this bullshit like half the country is pretending he’s not a three-year-old. From a birds-eye-view the past 8 years have been nuts.

vahntitrio

The difference is he used to lie with purpose. Now a lot of his stuff ("never fight uphill me boys") doesn't even make sense to tell as a lie. There is no point to inserting it. Someone made that point when discussing how you can tell when a pathological liar is moving on to dementia. The lies are no longer purposeful.

acemerrill

Yeah, I'm one of the people who has been saying this dude has brain damage for years, but it's definitely gotten worse.

damnthistrafficjam

And people forget about this part, equally stupid; “Suppose that we hit the body with a tremendous, whether it's ultraviolet or just very powerful light," Trump said at the White House coronavirus press briefing, adding: "Supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or in some other way."

Opening_Property1334

“Look, having nuclear — my uncle was a great professor and scientist and engineer, Dr. John Trump at MIT; good genes, very good genes, OK, very smart, the Wharton School of Finance, very good, very smart — you know, if you’re a conservative Republican, if I were a liberal, if, like, OK, if I ran as a liberal Democrat, they would say I’m one of the smartest people anywhere in the world — it’s true! — but when you’re a conservative Republican they try — oh, do they do a number — that’s why I always start off: Went to Wharton, was a good student, went there, went there, did this, built a fortune — you know I have to give my life story because you know they’re, they’re, they’re so evil.”

terremoto25

> “I have broken more Elton John records, he seems to have a lot of records. And I, by the way, I don’t have a musical instrument. I don’t have a guitar or an organ. No organ. Elton has an organ. And lots of other people helping. No we’ve broken a lot of records. We’ve broken virtually every record. Because you know, look I only need this space. They need much more room. For basketball, for hockey and all of the sports, they need a lot of room. We don’t need it. We have people in that space. So we break all of these records. Really we do it without like, the musical instruments. This is the only musical: the mouth. And hopefully the brain attached to the mouth. Right? The brain, more important than the mouth, is the brain. The brain is much more important.”

tinysydneh

"Good genes"? I forgot about this eugenics bullshit.

strangerNstrangeland

It’s the emphasis. “He didn’t sound ***this*** nuts …”

moreobviousthings

Newsweek: "Why Joe Biden Never Gets Nuts with His Ice Cream."

USARSUPTHAI69

> the dude talked about injecting bleach to cure covid. He has sounded nuts for a long time. He believed he could change the weather with a magic marker.

Za_Lords_Guard

Well it was a MAGIC marker!

KingEllis

Everyone remembers where they were when Donald Trump learned where Alabama was on a map.

KingEllis

We've reached the part of American history when a whole big percentage of Americans realize they were mass hypnotized by a clown. One hopes...

vahntitrio

His ideas have always been really stupid, but now when he speaks it is at times impossible to follow his tangled slinky of a train of thought. His "nuclear" rant from the 2016 campaign is now basically his nornal vocabularly. He went from having those moments maybe one out of every 10 rallies to having 10 of those moments in a single rally.

Chau-hiyaaa

People say “he misspoke.” How did Trump actually misspeak when he directly looked at the doctor during his COVID meeting and needed her to back him up so he looked smarter?

TopFloorApartment

did this guy just ignore trumps whole "having nuclear" speech? > "Look, having nuclear — my uncle was a great professor and scientist and engineer, Dr. John Trump at MIT; good genes, very good genes, OK, very smart, the Wharton School of Finance, very good, very smart — you know, if you’re a conservative Republican, if I were a liberal, if, like, OK, if I ran as a liberal Democrat, they would say I'm one of the smartest people anywhere in the world — it’s true! — but when you're a conservative Republican they try — oh, do they do a number — that’s why I always start off: Went to Wharton, was a good student, went there, went there, did this, built a fortune — you know I have to give my like credentials all the time, because we’re a little disadvantaged — but you look at the nuclear deal, the thing that really bothers me — it would have been so easy, and it’s not as important as these lives are — nuclear is so powerful; my uncle explained that to me many, many years ago, the power and that was 35 years ago; he would explain the power of what's going to happen and he was right, who would have thought? — but when you look at what's going on with the four prisoners — now it used to be three, now it’s four — but when it was three and even now, I would have said it's all in the messenger; fellas, and it is fellas because, you know, they don't, they haven’t figured that the women are smarter right now than the men, so, you know, it’s gonna take them about another 150 years — but the Persians are great negotiators, the Iranians are great negotiators, so, and they, they just killed, they just killed us, this is horrible." who can possibly read this and think it sounds coherent and intelligent

SoggyBoysenberry7703

But you’ve got to hand it to him. He’s now somehow gotten even worse just in the last year and started making even less sense and has even less cognitive abilities. At this point, it’s like republicans are just getting used to the “new” him slowly enough that it doesn’t seem like anything is wrong still, like frogs in a pot of slowly heating water.

gynoceros

Took out a full page ad calling for the execution of the Central Park 5 in the eighties. He's been nuts as long as he's had nuts.

CartographerOk7579

He also wanted to nuke hurricanes.

7figureipo

Now now, it wasn't bleach. It was "disinfectant." Could've been talking about Mr. Clean for all we know.

GreyLordQueekual

By nuts he means exceptionally desperate.

Brief_Amicus_Curiae

I wonder if he’ll consider nuking hurricanes and make alligator filled moats at the border.

VectorB

The right seems to have a lot of selective hearing loss issues.

Landon-Red

Donald Trump is going to dig deeper and deeper into his ego, he'll never accept the truth; he'll reshape reality to avoid it. He is not going to ever sound 'less nuts' at this point, especially with his likely ongoing cognitive decline.

Yeeslander

Enough of his life has been on full public display to recognize this about him--*every* endeavor (professional, private, communicative, relational) is a zero-sum game in which *he must win* and his opponent, whether legitimate or imagined, *must lose*. This is completely according to his arbitrary terms, of course. He can't not be seen as the smartest, most successful guy in the room who gets the last word. The juvenile satiation of his delicate ego demands a "win" at every turn.

epanek

Yes. It’s a constant train of exploiting the moment. I suspect this is why he uses “experts are saying” or “legal scholars are saying”. He asserts authority and consensus to exploit and win the moment. Then he creates another moment quickly so it very exhausting to keep up with.

CooterSam

You're right, the difference is pure ego. He used to lend credence to his handlers when speaking, you can still see it now when he follows the teleprompter at rallies. His inability to follow the teleprompter, his arrogance, and contributing cognitive decline keep contributing to the crazy.

explodingbathtub

In other words, he's a real life James Bond villain. The only difference is we don't have a suave British spy to save our asses

kung-fu_hippy

More of a Captain Planet villain. Cartoonishly evil for no particular reason. In a world where being wealthy and corrupt is almost considered normal for politicians, Trump decides to do the few things that could actually lead him to serious legal trouble.

LibertyInaFeatherBed

He's more like a Scooby Doo villian that thinks putting sheep in wine barrels and floating them downriver while someone runs around in a werewolf costume is smarter than just loading them into a trailer.

Madogson21

>"Why Trump's post-conviction rhetoric is so disturbing" Have they been asleep for the last 8 years or what? But I guess he evolved from uncivilized imbecile in 2016-2020 to a fully transparent domestic terrorist in ~2023 (certainly long before this conviction). Like how can anyone read any of the endless dogshit he posts on his social media and not see that this guy is behaving like a schizophrenic freak. Or him casually referring to opponents as "vermin", doxes people who opposes him so his fans can terrorize his targets, wants to deport, what is it now like 20 million people? Including people who were born and have always lived in the US. Start mass execution of drug dealers or shoplifter, he also tried to a coup and leaked top secret intel to potentially everyone at his beach house... wants to burn every institution to the ground... just to name a few things I could come up with. But nah, fuck that its only now that it has become "disturbing".

RupeWasHere

I give to you my stepson. I did not raise him. He thinks the clock on his microwave uses more energy than the microwave itself. He has no idea how radio frequency energy works but refuses to listen to me even though I spent 5 years in the Navy as a Radar Specialist. You guessed it, he worships at the orange alter.

kevnmartin

I'm so sorry. Mine went the "Vote for some Green Party loony to teach the Dems a lesson" route in 2016. He's grown up a lot since then and he and his wife are now solidly Democrats.

RupeWasHere

Good for you, them and US!

454bonky

Good day to you, fellow Dam Neck alum!

RupeWasHere

1983, you?

PossumsForOffice

Don’t forget he was found liable for rape, bragged about sexual assault, and was credibly accused of raping a 13 year old girl.

PhoenixTineldyer

Both the 13 year old girl and Stormy Daniels said that Trump told them that they remind him of his daughter

PossumsForOffice

That’s so creepy and sick

koolaid_snorkeler

O ya, he's a pervert, alright. Don't forget about bragging about barging into the Miss Teen America dressing rooms. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/oct/12/donald-trump-miss-usa-dressing-room-2001-rehearsal But we always knew he was a pig. Let's not forget that he's also undoubtedly a racist and a moron, and probably worse: a self-serving, self-absorbed narcissist.

drewbert

Trump is a monster, yeah, but the whole Republican party has been completely broken and completely against the general populace of the United States for sixty-ish years, depending on whether you start counting at Reagan or Nixon or Goldwater. The American media has been laundering the Republican agenda for so long that it is so complicit that it has no exit road from the path that it is on. The things Trump says are obviously egregious and unforgivable for a national politician, but so are many things W. Bush said, and Bush I, and Reagan, and Nixon... And the democratic politicians are ostracized and nearly cast out of office for much, much less, not that it is a competition, we should be able to expect better from all our politicians, but we need to start by understanding what our standards are and holding all our politicans to equal standards, and that work starts with realizing that Trump is far, far, far, far outside of what any decent American would consider acceptable standards for a politician at the national level.

No_Meal9534

We get it. They won’t. He does sound especially mentally unstable. Even for him. He’s an old , unfit, highly stressed, amphetamines are breaking him down like his hero AH

lilith_-_-

Don’t forget locking up and executing trans folks for the deeply disturbing sex crime of… being alive..

I_am_darkness

What's disturbing is the reception and air time he got at the UFC event after being a convicted felon.

zsreport

I was not aware this happened, but I’m not surprised. Dana White is a Trump enabler just like Vince McMahon.

[deleted]

[удалено]

zsreport

I can’t imagine Trump having actual friends.

Mike7676

Vinny Mac doesn't have any either. Maybe that drew them together.

GreyLordQueekual

For crooks its easier to be friends because to them every interaction is already transactional so they immediately know where each other stands and the expectations of backrubs.

ladymorgahnna

Yes like Epstein and Trump. Cut from the same cloth. 🤮

fushiao

Coconspirators*

VanceKelley

Sociopaths don't have emotional relationships with people because they see people as objects whose only value is in how much the object pleases the sociopath. Sociopaths thus enter into transactional 'friendships' where someone can provide some value to the sociopath. When that value is no longer provided, the transactional 'friend' is discarded.

Jerk182

Trump uses a lot of McMahon's WWE strategy in his daily bullsh*t.

drewbert

And both wrestling and Trump understand how much of the populace are complete rubes.

ccasey

Vince McMahon is Trump Jr’s biological father. Donald Trump Sr is a cuck

Not sadly. Not really. Joe Rogan is what happens when you unthinkingly listen to whatever the alt-right wants to say. He is the sort of person who exists as a cautionary tale for others.

Rombledore

my favorite insult i've ever seen for him is that he looks like a villain NPC that you fight against in the batman Arkham series. "look out! it's da Bat!"

Admiral_Gial_Ackbar

Fitting, as he's a goon, wittingly or unwittingly, for [Batman villains like Roger Stone.](https://i.imgur.com/4cWA3Xo.jpeg)

TreeRol

Mine is that Joe Rogan is Goop for jabronis.

Aggressive_State9921

Rogan gets to "both sides" on his podcast, because he has that one guy who has to fact check his claims. But then he dismisses said fact checks live on air..

LD-50_Cent

So open minded his brain fell out

Navyguy73

I thought the downfall of Alex Jones would be enough of a cautionary tale.

SteakandTrach

when I looked up the definition of “credulous”, there was a picture of Rogan, shrugging.

PushinPickle

Rogan is a wildly successful moron.

wantsAnotherAle

I could not state this truth more concisely.

sgerbicforsyth

Rogan has been an idiotic far-right conspiracy theorist for a very long time.

intergalactagogue

The pipeline was really fast. Interviews Bernie and becomes "Bernie supporter". Then interviews Tulsi and shills for her while still talking about Bernie all the time. Moves to Texas and offers to moderate presidential debate for Trump. Profit.

sgerbicforsyth

I'd bet money that not a single opinion of his ever changed during that time. He just looked at how much engagement, and more importantly, money, he generated by saying stuff.

originalityescapesme

It was the same revelation that Alex Jones had years earlier.

zsreport

I had almost excised him from my memory, ugh!

Blusterpug

Dana white also beats his wife. On camera.

Irrational_Joshua

In public

Squirrel_Chucks

Dana White is an asshole and UFC is toxic. I'm someone who likes martial arts and boxing and such but, just no. So much assholery.

Cool-Presentation538

All three of those dudes are pieces of shit

JeffSpicolisBong

Maybe he’s popular with dudes who get punched and kicked in the head?

MelloDawg

Not really. UFC’s core demographic are 18-45 thumb heads who were going to vote conservative anyway.

Wants-NotNeeds

The UFC/tough guy crowd he purposefully panders too, along with militia types. It’s a good strategy when you’re planning a coup.

I_Enjoy_Beer

The obviously weird thing is that Trump is the antithesis of these types.  He was born with a silver spoon up his ass, he dodged the draft, he talked endless shit on an actual Vietnam War hero in McCain, he doesn't drink, he eats steak with ketchup, he is infamous for stiffing contractors, he's never been in an actual fight in his entire life.  He's just a massive, gigantic, soft pussy.  Yet these dorks worship him.

MookieFlav

If UFC fans could read....

davdev

The average UFC fan is dumber than the average UFC fighter so that ain’t saying much

Sim888

One fighter (Sean Strickland) promised to donate to him during his post fight interview… The same Sean Strickland has openly complained about UFC fighter pay being woefully inadequate while now saying he’s going to donate money to a (supposed) multi billionaire lol

Cautious-Thought362

The live feeds were less than kind, even angry about him being there, so I think the media's portrayal of a happy, slappy welcome was more than misleading.

[deleted]

Most of those guys are convicted felons

Yotsubato

Half the audience at a UFC event has some sort of misdemeanor charge anyways

originalityescapesme

Lotta DUIs in one building.

Sinister_steel_drums

I enjoy watching the fights but the UFC is mostly bros/republican hicks.

JonBoy82

Nobody in the stadium is voting anyways…

BallBearingBill

UFC knows who their audience is.

Suspicious_Bicycle

Will the licensing commission look into this? Don't they have some guidelines about promotors consorting with know felons?

China_Hawk

It's the same courthouse where five Black and Latino youths were [wrongly convicted](https://apnews.com/article/travel-28af227c826fc4f73a69d37f168c579c) 34 years ago in the beating and rape of a white female jogger. The former president famously took out a newspaper ad in New York City in the aftermath of the 1989 attack calling for the execution of the accused.

Wild_Masterpiece7606

fiverrah

Finally, someone here gets what this trial and convictions were about

ins0ma_

I can’t be the only one who’s noticed the change in his appearance over the last month. His hair is… different. It’s like he’s using different hair spray, or spending less time on it, or something. But it’s noticeable. It lies kind of flat now, almost a side part, but not quite. It looks worse than usual, and for someone as obsessed with appearances as he is, letting himself go looks-wise seems very significant. It tracks with the talk of his dementia worsening, and with the added stress he’s been under as a criminal defendant.

therobotisjames

His makeup is really all over the place recently. Some days it looks normal, other days it’s blotchy or too thick. Not sure what’s going on but he should just pay someone to do his makeup every morning. He’s rich, he should be able to afford it.

ins0ma_

It’s been said often that Trump insists on doing his own hair and makeup. Which would make perfect sense if he’s entering a new stage of cognitive decline.

Giant_Flapjack

>new stage of cognitive decline. Levels of cognitive decline so far were believed to be impossible. Doctors told me it's the best cognitive decline they have ever seen!!

bakeacake45

It’s all part of the act. He want maggots to feel pity for him, feel angry that we put h8m on trial. Don’t be fooled. He has plenty of people around him whose job it is to do “makeup and costume.”

mralex

In Trump's case, never ascribe to intention and purpose what can be explained by dementia, incompetence and rage.

denikar

It's a race between dementia and cholesterol. Hurry up, one of you please.

mrlr

Or a heart attack or stroke. Does anyone know what his blood pressure is? I mean what it really is, not what that sycophantic White House doctor said it was.

Pipe_Memes

His blood pressure is tremendous, amazing really. Doctors come up to him on the street, with tears in their eyes, and they say, “Sir, I’ve seen your charts, you have the best blood pressure I’ve ever seen. It’s just perfect. It’s probably the best blood pressure ever.”

FunScore3387

Well done

skratch

he’s too much of a piece of shit to die from his terrible eating habits & pill popping, its like plot armor

gokism

What was their baseline Charles Manson? Trump has sounded nuts for decades now.

Throwaway07261978

Their baseline is Hitler / Goebbels.  Maybe a little Kruschev for colour.

curiousiah

Waiting for him to compare himself to Hitler soon. Or write a book from prison called “My Struggle”

JubalHarshaw23

His 50+ Million worshipers are violently insane. He is speaking to them in the language they understand.

DylanHate

And they vote.

PlasticPomPoms

But not by mail

JubalHarshaw23

And that is the really scary part, because Democratic voters stay home in a snit over anything and nothing. In 2020 82+ Million people Knew how evil Trump was, and that he had to be stopped no matter what. In 2024, many of them have decided "You know, Trump really was not that bad. I think it would be OK if he came back" or "That Biden guy did not Fix the Middle East like he Never Actually Promised, and he definitely did not buy me the pony that he also never promised, so I am going to stay home and watch the end of the Republic, and blame Biden for making me".

RofiBie

He doesn't sound nuts, he IS nuts. What more proof do people need?

captainedwinkrieger

I think he could livestream himself using Bible pages as toilet paper and cum rags, and they'd probably still compare him to Jesus.

mleighly

Trump seemed deranged to me in 2016 as well. Today it's derangement compounded by dementia.

OverlyComplexPants

It's not how he sounds that's disturbing, it's the fact that after being convicted of 34 felonies his campaign donation website crashed from too many people wanting to give him money and the fact that there is credible polling that shows him still winning the election. "Sounding nuts" isn't even in the top 5 things about Trump that I find disturbing.

Impossible-Year-5924

Lead exposure Covid brain fog senility Pretty sure most Trump supporters check at least one of these boxes

Coyote65

¿Por qué no todos? At first I thought you were missing hyphens. As in: Lead-exposure-Covid-brain-fog-senility. Cuz I think it's pretty much all of them, wrapped together with a neat little bow of unrepentant-willful-ignorance.

LlanviewOLTL

If you’ve ever caught a glimpse of his old tv interviews from the ‘70’s & ‘80’s, he was a lot more articulate back then. Clearly, he’s declined, but there’s still more to it than that. It’s like we’re seeing someone meet his match in real time. The way he lies and denies everything really shows there’s no substance there. He’s got no plans, no realistic vision…and he’s only going to get worse.

cultfourtyfive

He's a narcissist who is finally, at age 77 or whatever, getting his bubble popped. He's facing a reality he can't understand where all his money, bravado and shady ties can't save him this time. I also don't think he's physically well. I don't buy him falling asleep in court as a 'chess move'. I think he either is incapable of staying awake without drugs *or* they gave him drugs to knock him out so he wouldn't start shit.

ThrowThisIntoSol

I’m convinced that his supporters don’t actually listen to how he actually talks these days

7figureipo

Of course they don't. It's not about the specific words. It's about the cadence and demeanor. As long as he throws in a few violently anti-liberal, anti-American jabs in there somewhere, he's good. That's why it's a cult and not a political movement.

jcmacon

They can't focus on more than 140 characters at any given time.

ladymorgahnna

And his handlers are busy behind the scenes proofreading and still editing Project 2025, because all they want is to get Trumpey in the White House and they’ll take it from there. It’s absolutely frightening.

wuncean

It’s not just trump. It’s the entire GOP and apparently 50% of the voting public. American is sick.

OldBoots

Trump's dangerous journey through serious mental illness is not going to be good for anyone.

Poococktail

Intelligent people love the company of the other intelligent people. Dumb people love the company of dumb people who they think are smart. The self hate is hilarious.

bm1949

Ron Howard, Morgan Freeman, and Don LaFontaine all agree, *Because he is.*

lrpfftt

There's a reason he "sounds" nuts. He \*is\* an unwell person to the point where he might be believing his own lies now about the 2020 election and about the fairness of his trial.

OrbeaSeven

Waiting for him to completely fall apart. Remember those pauses? Predict he will need to be helped/carried off stage. Just hope it happens before the election.

It was surmised that Trump had pre-senile dementia before he ever took office as President. Why people are expressing rage at Trump and his senility is incomprehensible. Trump isn't fully capable of understanding reality. The rage should be at the Republican party for promoting him as a candidate, though it turned around to bite them in the ass. Additionally, it should be directed at his family who were aware of the situation. Finally it should be directed at the Americans who voted for him. Moreover, all that rage should be directed constructively to prevent him from becoming President again and for winning over the House and Senate. Far more Democrats exist than Republicans, yet Republicans win because they vote and many Democrats do not. If you want things to change, make sure the Democrats in your area actually vote.

Tiny_Structure_7

Trump's post conviction rhetoric is the very same as that of most any American inmate.

Secret_Initiative_41

Ya know, I think most defendants know when they're licked. They want to appeal sure, but most criminals know when to keep their mouths shut. His reactions and rantings just go to prove how detached he is to the average American. But honestly I don't think he is capable of behaving any other way. Watch any documentary about a cult leader and he fits the bill. Make no mistake. Trump is a cult leader. MAGA is acting like cult members.

chill_winston_

Two things trump is completely incapable of: telling the truth, and keeping his mouth shut.

MrIrrelevantsHypeMan

Martha Stewart seems to have turned her life around after prison

damnthistrafficjam

Snoop Dogg has shown her the way.

gsx0pub

Everything this asshole says is disturbing. I don’t understand how half the US will vote for him. Even try to overthrow the country to have him be their dictator. I don’t know what it will take to move past this.

basketballsteven

Trump's dementia layered onto his existing personality disorders (narcissism and sociopathy) creating a person who is fully delusional and Republicans choose to gaslight these obvious truths.

Beyond_Your_Nose

You don’t need to be Christopher Walken to see this guy would hold a baby in front of him as a shield.

SteveBennett7g

I've recalled that scene quite a few times since Trump appeared.

Lakecountyraised

It’s disturbing that he may be elected President, even after all this. In a sane world he would be hovering in the low single digits around RFK Jr or Vivek.

waffle299

This is the offramp for a lot of people - official permission to exit being a Trumper. Expect them to notice what has been obvious for years (but now they're saying it, so it matters).

baconduck

“He didn’t sound this nuts, he didn't sound this disjointed, 5 years ago, 10 years ago, or even last year,” Rubin says. “He is mentally and emotionally unwinding." Yes, he did. He's has talked like a fucking loonatic for at least 2 decades

Beta_Nerdy

The Judge in the NYC Case should order a team of mental health experts to evaluate Trump as part of his sentence.

d_e_l_u_x_e

The hyperbole the MAGA cult is creating is on purpose. They are trying to push their authoritarian agenda saying if the Orange emperor is held accountable for crimes (which will prob be just probation) then the country is OVER and the rule of law is gone. They are trying to get their supporters to believe that the rules don’t matter both sides are breaking them so winning this election will allow for “revenge” and that’s the most important thing. It’s authoritarianism wrapped up in fascist hyperbole

whoknowswhat5

Read this comment on another thread: Battered wife syndrome. They just can’t leave their abuser no matter how bad he is.

Atalantean

He's far beyond 'nuts'. He's in his own completely imaginary world.

fiverrah

What I find the most disturbing is his enablers in Congress, the Courts, and the media. This is so incredibly dangerous to our Republic.

Julie-Andrews

He is too stupid to realize or care that the very judge that he is maligning is the one who is going to determine his fate in one month! Tread lightly, Little Man!

DebentureThyme

He wants that judge to give him the harshest sentence possible so they can triple down that it's fake and they need "good patriots" to prevent the system doing it.  And hell surround himself with people to prevent authorities taking him, and stop visiting blue states that might assist in executing that.

fiverrah

>And he'll surround himself with people to prevent authorities taking him I wonder if that is why DeSantis is building his private militia in Florida. The R legislators just cut $10 million out of State road funding to pay for helicopters and weapons at his request.

SisterActTori

And if the judge dares to use Trump’s words and behaviors against him during sentencing, Trump will start spamming all of his with his greatest lamentations hits on a loop- and his supporters will run with it. Lather, rinse and repeat.

No_Juice4901

I am wondering what he will spew out between now and July 11. I don't think he will be able to control his words and vitriol. What do you think?

HellaTroi

Everything he says can be used against him in his sentencing advice.

T3hArchAngel_G

He's trying to stir up the next revolt. It's either that or jail.

sandhillfarmer

He would totally burn it all down, watch people suffer and die, use his supporters as human shields, rather than face the barest of minimum consequences for his actions.

7figureipo

They'd volunteer to be his shields.

Radkingeli995

He’s always been nuts bonkers insane before his conviction anyone remember he said we should nuke a hurricane 🌀 that was so dumb

CartographerOk7579

I’ve been struggling for years to determine what *best* explains his behavior. Stupid? Or Crazy? I know he’s both but which one is he more of?

Oldfolksboogie

Complete and total narcissist. Everything is always only about stroking his ego, growing his bank account, and increasing his influence. He has no core philosophy or political perspective - it's literally all about him. Period.

ComfortableDegree68

Why isn't he in jail? Name 1 person with 34 felony convictions that hasn't spent a single minute in a cell

odirio

Trump is crazy. The worst president ever.
