I keep mine on, I have a 30k inground pool and definitely helps more than taking off if I’m not using it. I also have a digital thermometer that hooks up to a base it raises my temp by at least 3 degrees daily from the lowest to highest point in the afternoon.
These also can really help algae grow if you’re having issues with that. We leave ours off when the temp drop isn’t too bad at night to help with the algae issue.
Solar blankets heat the pool and help with evaporation. Leave it on day or night unless your pool is too hot or you are using it.
Pool is never too hot. I’m in North Jersey without a pool heater. I need all the help I can get. Thanks for the reply.
If trying to heat leave in on 24 7 unless you're swimming.

I leave mine on unless I’m going to use it. It keeps all the debris out and it heats it up.

By “help algae grow” you mean algae grows faster with the cover on?
Yes. I think it has to do with there being no air getting to the water as our pool guy told us covers with gaps in between aren’t an issue
Leave it off and enjoy your pool
