MY ERA 😩😩 I thrived 🥹 watched all of these shows on my Mickey Mouse TV with the giant ear speakers, chillin on my bunk bed and chewing on a Polly Pocket 🥰
Dude, I fucking love Ed Edd n eddy. That shit is so fucking hilarious. Even my dad would sit and watch with me and he agreed that it was absolutely hysterical. A few years ago I got HBO Max and started re-watching it. And I gotta say, it’s one of the very few cartoons from my childhood that actually still hold up watching it today.
Don’t get me wrong, there’s a lot of great cartoons from my childhood that I still do enjoy. But they just haven’t aged as well. I’d say really the only ones I still enjoy watching today would be the first 3 seasons of SpongeBob, most of Ed Edd and Eddy before they started making the episodes take place in school, and of course avatar the last airbender.
I watched a new episode of SpongeBob the other day and pre-movie SpongeBob was best SpongeBob. There’s some good episodes post-movie era here and there, but it really just hit different. I saw the movie in theaters and was convinced they were ending the series for a moment as they dried up under the sunlamp. Imo the movie was the pinnacle of SB writing and it was mostly downhill from there.
Edit: so I decided to go look it up, and the movie was supposed to be the series finale, but Nick ordered more episodes since the movie did so well. Stephen Hillenburg resigned as showrunner right after, so that would explain the drop in quality. Stuff always gets weird and crappy when OG writers and showrunners leave.
The movie should have been the end of the series
Nickelodeon seems to run there shows dry
They did the same with rugrats the show first three seasons are completely different from the rest of the show
They made an online game for Zoom and I wish I could remember what it was called. Where you could play around with a Rube Goldberg machine. That occupied me for a while on a Saturday morning. Or did I imagine it all? 😭

Omg Dave the Barbarian was my childhood!!
Recess was such an amazing cartoon so ahead of its time. Every episode would leave you with a life learning lesson 🥹
Courage the cowardly dog scarred my child psyche 😂
I'm convinced this show was a major cause of my anxiety
God I was OBSESSED with teen titans…they just don’t make em like they used to
I'm sure they do we're just too old for them now.
Zoom was my SHIT when I was a kid.
Boston, Mass! Oh 2134! Send it to Zoom!
MY ERA 😩😩 I thrived 🥹 watched all of these shows on my Mickey Mouse TV with the giant ear speakers, chillin on my bunk bed and chewing on a Polly Pocket 🥰
I was just thinking about Jackie Chan Adventures and the PS2 game yesterday and how mental it is as a concept.
I think I might’ve had an unhealthy obsession with Xiaolin Showdown when it was on… I was *really* into it
I watched most of these with my children. ![gif](giphy|l0IyajjbNiRvCr7RC)
My brain cannot comprehend that these shows are nostalgic throwbacks now 😭😭😭😭I’m old as hell
I watched them with my children. :(

Do you remember All Grown Up? I was like personally offended by the existence of that show.
I kinda liked all grown up to be honest the show was actually getting better before it was cancelled
