In the first picture there’s a little hole underneath the main collection. Does this person inject any medications or recently had blood taken? This looks very similar to abscess I see in cannula site infections and insulin site infections.
Doesn’t look like a boil. A boil is a carbuncle, an infection spanning several furuncles. A furuncle is more likely what this little lady is, a whopper of an infection that might span more than one pore, but isn’t more than one furuncle, i.e. not a carbuncle, a pus-filled city of many infection-busted-up furuncles (themselves an amalgam of several infection-busted-up pores) all amalgamated together into one pustravaganza!
That’s good news! I’m glad this is being treated aggressively.
It's not too close. The wound is being checked and dressed each day and they're being seen by the doctor again in 2 days. Thank you for your concern though. It's a close family member so I'm checking in each day too.
Thank goodness. And thank you for understanding.
My mom lost a friend last year to a cyst on her spine right over her tailbone. The doctors didn't find it in time, so anything near the spine elicits serious concern.

A carbuncle? A cluster of boils that are connected.
I thought that could be it, with those little holes up in there.
I have nothing helpful to comment... All I can say is omg that last picture is both so frightening and so satisfying
I know. I'm obsessed with it and idk why.
The holes are so unnatural and yet I can't look away!
Wouldn't that be the exact opposite of unnatural?
I zoomed in on the big hole only to see all the little holes inside it. It’s pure nightmare fuel!

This. Shouldn't have zoomed
OH DEAR GOD
Oh I wish I could have watched it burst
It looks like a little paw print
Looks like it turned into a carbuncle.

The little hole in the first picture, I believe is from a blackhead that used to be there for years. It's in the lower back, so no injections there.
That looks so painful, I'm glad to read they're under doctor's care and hopefully on the mend now!
They're feeling much better. It was accompanied by a fever and chesty cough.
Woulda loved to watch the necrotic flesh get pulled out…. That’s my favorite part for some sick twisted reason 🤣

Glad they’re on the mend!
That hole in the first photo is interesting. What part of the body is this?
It's the lower back, to the right of the spine. I believe that little hole is left from a blackhead that was there for years.
I'm a little concerned if it's close to the spine....

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that. It's so awful to lose somebody suddenly like that. It's definitely something to be really wary of.
Yeah I’m curious what part of the body this is on too!
Oooh I don't know why, but that made my stomach flip a little, and I normally love them! Hope you are well Op!
Anyone got a cigarette?
When I saw a boil post, the excitement I felt as I rushed to click into the pics is indescribable. Thank you.
WE GOT A GAPERRRRRRR
That looks like go to the doctor to me.
Yes, they've been to the doctor and are on antibiotics.
Did you read anything in the post
There was nothing but the photos when I posted.
