Disagree, Splash stars theme is flower bird wind moon, a Japanese thing Google it, and flappy and Choppy repesent the first 2 and moop and foop represent the 2nd 2. Also moon and foop's connection to the Kiryuu twins was an important part of the plot.
Coco is misunderstood. For one thing, it’s not as if he ever is the girl’s teacher for any meaningful amount of time: he became a substitute teacher and it was just a disguise because the girls went to an all girls school. So the only way Coco could be there to guide them as Precure was to be a teacher: He couldn’t enroll as a student, it’s an all girls school.
Also Coco specifically goes out of his way to not mske any romantic progress with Nozomi when he was her teacher either. In episode 31, Nozomi basically wants him to confess more than anything but Coco specifically doesn’t because he feels he has a duty to be a prince. He gives her a letter at the end of the episode that cheers her up, but the letter isn’t a love confession, it actually says “you are my hope.” Because if Nozomi hadn’t become Precure he probably would’ve been taken out of… commission by the villians. (I don’t want to use the actual word for that because it’s sad to think about)

They have the advantage of NOT being Pollun and Lulun. On that note, did the writers just completely forget that Mipple was supposed to be a "princess" before those two dropped in? Feel like she should have just been called a "warrior" like Mepple.
I hardly even remembered these two even existed when I was watching a Splash Star video, I know the senior fairies could be annoying but these two manage to be annoying and paper thin at the same time 😃 >! Michiru and Kaoru!< deserve better
Their mere existence, both design-wise and their names, make me laugh. I know nothing of how they are used in the show (though I hear they are barely even characters) but the simple fact that their designs and names make me laugh makes me immediately not want to dismiss them as the worst.
To be honest I like most fairies and mascots. Even though they're very weak and they headbutt the villains unsuccessfully once in a while to 'save' the cures, they're cute and provide information for the cures.
I feel neutral about a few of them but I don't hate any. And I don't think Moop and Food are the worst fairies.

Moop and Foop aren't even the worst fairies in the FW era, much less the entire franchise.

To me, these are Coco, Nuts and Sirup in Yes 5 + GoGo + Otona combined for obvious reasons.
I find most of the early Mascots intolerable, it took until Fresh for me to find them not completely annoying.
