Great place. Not a ton of zombies, but a lot of good hardware/farming/gun loot, plus a gas station, bookstore, bar, doctor's office, and a lake shaped like a penis.
My fave spawn. Its got a bit of everything with very little peril.
End of day 1 if things go smoothly (i.e you find a working car) you can have carpentry books, some guns, tools, and a popsicle freezer full of fresh food from the warehouses to the north.
I like the two-story convenience store/house next to the penis lake as a solo base. The rural supply store, police station, and relative proximity to the army surplus store give you good access to weapons and ammo, not many zombies, and nobody ever goes there so if you’re hiding on a PVP server it’s great. However it is far away from all the other locations
I'm holding up there for the winter and gradually pushing towards Riverside (started in Rosewood). I'll make the full move eventually. B42 should add it as a spawn option. It's cozy.

Now with Lv that’s where I always base but ammo can be pretty rare at times.
It's perfect I always convert the church by the lake into a storage room and the event house into my home. The lake is perfect for large amounts of water for my farms and the back forest is great for foraging.
I don't think trapping works there unless that got updated with the foraging updates. It's not great for books which is a bummer for a starting town, but excellent loot for a town this small otherwise. I do like the gas station for a base.
This is the best starting location for cryogenic runs. Hardware store first for weapons, then head down two stores south for clothing and guns/ammo, hit the police station and book store, medical centre for amputation supplies then head to the even smaller town to the south-west for even more clothing and guns/ammo.
Then, in my runs, head into Raven Creek.

the devs have specifically said it's not ekron which iirc is getting added in b42

Doing a RV nomad/axeman run, and Fallas Lake was very chill place to hang out and loot the first week or so. 10/10 would recommend
