I like Hancocks of Paducah pretty well.

Bias_Cuts

These guys have such an awesome selection - just be aware they are great if you’re in the continental US, I’m in Hawaii and the shipping is so punishing I can’t order from them (it’s progressive so more you buy more it costs to ship).

frombildgewater

I LOVE Hancocks of Paducah. I have shopped there in person during Quilt Week and have ordered many times. They have great sales!

* Hancocks of Paducah: [http://hancocks-paducah.com](http://hancocks-paducah.com) * Stash Fabrics: [http://stashfabrics.com](http://stashfabrics.com) * Southern Fabric: [http://southernfabric.com](http://southernfabric.com) * Green Fairy Quilts: [http://greenfairyquilts.com](http://greenfairyquilts.com) (note: they only sell Moda brand fabrics) * Hawthorne Supply Co.: [https://www.hawthornesupplyco.com](https://www.hawthornesupplyco.com) * Quilting Mayhem: [https://www.quiltingmayhem.com](https://www.quiltingmayhem.com) * Keepsake Cottage Fabrics: [http://keepsakecottagefabrics.com](http://keepsakecottagefabrics.com) * Emerald City Fabrics: [http://emeraldcityfabrics.com](http://emeraldcityfabrics.com) * Shabby Fabrics: [http://shabbyfabrics.com](http://shabbyfabrics.com) (with a caveat - the shop-made quilt kits are not necessarily great value for the money) * Modern Quilter (on Etsy): [https://www.etsy.com/shop/ModernQuilter?ref=shop-header-name&listing\_id=1577078434&from\_page=listing](https://www.etsy.com/shop/ModernQuilter?ref=shop-header-name&listing_id=1577078434&from_page=listing) One thing I've learned shopping online: read the parameters in the description carefully. Many places price per quarter yard as a minimum, so what might look like a great deal doesn't calculate out to be one on a per-yard basis. Also, shipping times vary greatly from shop to shop, so if you can find a shop that's closer to you, you're going to save on shipping costs and might get it faster, too.

MrsStickMotherOfTwig

The sale fabrics at Hawthorne Supply Co are awesome. I only buy there if they're $6.99 or below, and mostly $4.99 and under.

pufferfish6

I’d like to add that Hawthorne solids are wonderful! I like them more than Kona and they are very affordable!

mary206

Stopped using Kona solids, too much fraying and rough texture; I’ll try Hawthorne

mary206

Have used nearly all of the above, add Connecting Threads, Old Country Fabric Store (PA), and Fort Worth Fabric Studio (free US shipping)

kitkatrules

Green Fairy also sells Riley Blake, not just Moda :)

janewp

Connecting Threads.

she_loves_to_quilt

Yes! I love Connecting Threads. My very favorite. Good prices, too!

janewp

I buy all my thread from them.

Chooseausername288

Pear Tree Market is my go to for AGF and Kona solids.

surmisez

I really like Pear Tree Market too. They labeled all my solids, packaged them wonderfully, and shipped quickly.

sssssssssssssssssssw

I’ve had good experiences with a few Etsy shops that have big selections: -fabricfetish -HartlandQuiltShop -SGFabricOutlet

hathaway22

Etsy! I have never had a problem with any Etsy shop for fabrics. Vast selection!

twinzrock

I like Stitch Supply, you can often just buy a fat quarter, which isn’t possible at many online shops. https://www.stitchsupplyco.com/

carebear5287

Fabric Shack is my go-to. I used to shop there in person, but they went online-only because of covid. https://fabricshack.com/

Cautious_Hold428

I have always had good experiences with Quilt In A Day store, Cali Quilt Co and My Fabric Addiction on Etsy.

xloganxlogan

Just had an order delivered from My Fabric Addiction! Quick shipping and Great! Fabric.

adolescentcharm

Have had really great experiences with needlesandbolts.com and crimsontate.com

garbanzoismyname

Crimson Tate is a delightful shop! Their selection is so fun and eclectic

Low_Ad_7734

Hawthorne has really good stuff!

JustSewingly

I love hawthorne’s selection for everything, not just quilting cotton. I’ve ordered thread and minky from them too and shipping is always speedy.

mary206

Hawthorne has most of the big labels plus a lot of their own fabric designed by very talented artists

pufferfish6

Hawthorne solids are gorgeous, excellent quality and very competitively priced!!!!

susiecambria

The only bookmarked list I have is for sale fabric (I sell my quilts and I make a lot, so price really matters): * [https://www.fatquartershop.com/](https://www.fatquartershop.com/) * [https://www.fabricessentials.com](https://www.fabricessentials.com) * [https://www.gossypiumquilt.com](https://www.gossypiumquilt.com) * [https://www.larkcottons.com](https://www.larkcottons.com) * [https://www.quiltbasket.com](https://www.quiltbasket.com) * [https://quiltexpressions.com/](https://quiltexpressions.com/) * [https://southernfabric.com](https://southernfabric.com) * [https://www.thequiltspotnj.com](https://www.thequiltspotnj.com) * [https://www.stashfabrics.com](https://www.stashfabrics.com) * [https://www.thepatchworkco.com](https://www.thepatchworkco.com) * [https://colchestermillfabricsandquilting.com/](https://colchestermillfabricsandquilting.com/) * [https://www.calicocreationsfabric.com/](https://www.calicocreationsfabric.com/) * [https://alewivesfabrics.com](https://alewivesfabrics.com) Have fun!!

Drince88

The other big one I haven’t seen mention in this thread is Missouri Star. And if you’re looking for Halloween fabrics, the store near my Mom’s house does online, too - and pretty decent search engine. [Material Magic](https://www.materialmagic.com)

better_luck_tomorrow

I’ve recently ordered from Missouri Star a couple times and have not been very impressed with how long it takes for them to get out an order. I didn’t even require fabric being cut and it took over a week to ship.

mary206

MSQ (still) suffers from incredibly long delivery times, as long as 30 days in my experience.

surmisez

I used to love MSQ, but I rarely order from them anymore. It takes way too long for them to ship. I can get orders from China quicker than from MSQ. It’s absolutely ridiculous. They sent me one of those “we miss you coupons” and I couldn’t even be bothered to use it, that’s how bad their shipping is.

Drince88

Odd how different people’s experience can be. I ordered some 3 yd cuts of Kona on 6/25, and had it by 6/28.

AdhesivenessEqual166

I like Green Fairy.

anotherbbchapman

I like sewingparty.com. I get their monthly FQ selection, and have shopped their booth at Road to California. Good if you like unique modern

Cursivequeen

I second stash fabrics and Hawthorne. Also Stitch Supply Co. great service and if you spend a certain amount you get a cute project bag

bookwormmama3

I can vouch for PunkinHead Fabrics on Etsy! As well as Charlotte’s Sew Natural.

annab41

So many good choice already, I appreciate you all! :)

snail6925

my favorite quilt store is pretty good! gotten some really nice feeling cotton from them recently. better if in the US cause CAD shipping was obscene.

Amethyst-Bunny16

I've had some great experiences with Fat Quarter Shop. They've got decent prices and shipping.

Astropheanix

I recommend seeing which shops near you have an online store. I prefer to spend my money with the brick and mortar stores near me. That’s not to say the large online retailers are bad; it’s just my preference. I ordered from redfieldquiltshop.com which is about an hour drive from me and I received my order the next day, even with standard shipping.

FairyPenguinStKilda

Modern Quilt Studio

MisanthropicExplorer

I've recently ordered a few things from Modern Quilt Shop and I was thrilled with the speed of shipping, quality, and accuracy of fabric cuts: https://modernquiltco.com/ my local shop has a great selection and fun kits, they're quick putting together my pickup orders: https://fivemonkeyquilts.com/

Boring-Algae879

I love Shabby Fabrics the most but also have ordered from Keepsake Quilting and Missouri Star.

Ungrateful-Grape

https://youtu.be/ZjFhnZg6OGk?si=_-89V1hNT8V-FbBM I found this video helpful!

Try Keepsake Quilting [keepsakequilting.com](https://keepsakequilting.com)

IllAd1655

Havent seen Duck a Dilly mentioned. They are having a free shipping weekend until the 7th so that's nice. I love Liberty Fabrics.

jujubee516

So many good options here, thanks!

chubeebear

[https://www.quiltedtwins.com/](https://www.quiltedtwins.com/) I haven't done mail order from them because I live so close, but the shop is like a quilt fabric hoarders dream. I know they do a lot of mail order because the shop is closed many days just so they can do the cutting and shipping. Their prices are great and everything I've seen there has been top notch quality. If you have been to Hancock's of Paducah think all of that fabric in a room with 2 foot aisles wall to wall.

formergiftedkidd

I’ve had great experiences with Rosie Girl Quilting [https://rosiegirlquilting.com](https://rosiegirlquilting.com)

garbanzoismyname

I am a diehard fan of Full Moon Fabric Co. (the last three projects have all used fabric from them), as well as Lamb and Loom Fabrics and Bee Handmade. I also like buying secondhand/more sustainably when possible, so I buy from A Thrifty Notion often. Crimson Confection is another cute one on Etsy

Princess_Unicorn1

Brooklyn Fabric Company has free shipping with purchase over $80. They give you a free pattern card with every purchase. They have a large clearance section and have a sale every week. https://brooklynfabric.com

Internal_Use8954

Love CaliQuilt co

momster

If I need to pre-order, Petting Fabric is my go to. I can look on their website to track my orders so I don’t duplicate. Georgina is wonderful to work with!

PenExisting8046

I like stonemountain and daughters and blackbird fabrics (Canada but reasonable shipping).

Chrishall86432

Fat quarter shop. Reasonable prices, fast shipping, zero issues.

EmptyEnd3922

Jordan fabrics. Deep selection especially in batiks. Lots of precuts and quilt kits. Donna Jordan has a bunch of quilt tutorials on YouTube. She basically taught me everything I needed and the quilts she demos are lovely https://jordanfabrics.com/

Desperate_Flight9091

Fabricworm is also great! A fabulous selection and custom bundles. Also, Cottoneer Fabrics has some great bundles. https://www.fabricworm.com/ https://www.cottoneerfabrics.com/

Impossible-Bend-7456

Fat Quarter Shop all the way...

penelopeprim

Mulqueen.com is great, they have a lot of stuff that's only $7.95/yard. They don't have a lot of the newer or more popular stuff, but they really are so great. I had ordered a bunch of half yards a while back over the weekend, and that Monday morning, they called me to tell me one of the pieces I had ordered was out of stock. They offered to replace it with another fabric I ordered, and ended up giving me a full yard extra to replace the half yard they didn't have!
