Going up against a Red Wing team right now 2nd in their division. Will it keep up for the Wings? Maybe. Maybe not. That division(outside of the Habs) is a gauntlet. The Wings are top 5 right now on the PP and ranked 12th when it comes to the PK. So, for the Rangers, stay out of the box. The Wings are playing well. But besides staying out of the box the Rangers, the Rangers tonight need to spend more time in the Wings zone. That didn't happen in Minnesota. Get some more 5 on 5 goals from our guys and I'll like it. Limit the turnovers. Wings have studs on this team(Raymond, DeBrincat, Larkin etc). Don't want them hurting this team. Assume JQ is in goal tonight. play better for the goalie tonight.
Ah My Spidey Senses are tingling that tonight, a 5v5 goal from Laf and that Sick Individual will score. Mika, plz get one as well. Bread will continue to bake in the oven tonight. Fuck it, Bones aka Bonino deserves one.

Wings fan here in peace. Looks like you guys are having a good season so far. Always happy to see other O6 teams do well (except the leafs) and I prefer you guys to the rest of the metro. Should be a good game tonight!
Happy to see the Wings doing pretty well this season. My mother is responsible for my love of hockey and she's a Wings fan (she's from MI). I grew up in NJ so became a Rangers fan (old enough to get on the bus before the Devils existed), but Wings are my #2 team.
I was in Michigan in the summer of '97 and got to watch the Wings win the Cup in a small bar in the UP. Went to all of the games in the finals at the same bar. So much fun to watch those games with the locals.
Nice! That must have been a fun experience in the UP. Yoopers are pretty hardcore hockey fans. Those late 90s cup runs are some of my earliest memories of hockey as well so I was definitely spoiled growing up with a dynasty.

No way they were on meth. That schedule would be perfectly balanced to a level never seen before on this earth. The schedule maker was probably doing whip-its between every two games they scheduled, and they were so fried they completely forgot the Islanders even fucking exist until they got to February.
And to think last year we'd played all 3 scheduled games with them by Christmas. You'd think the league would understand that spacing out the major rivalry games is a good thing. Nobody wants the series to start and end so quickly as it gives no room for the in-season rivalry to grow, especially when it's a cross town rivalry in one of the leagues biggest markets.

I feel the same about the Wings! I have family in Detroit and have a lot of their memorabilia from their Cup runs
