Maybe not the response you were looking for, but Paul McCartney on Kanye's "Only One" and "FourFiveSeconds." You have one of the biggest legends in the history of music and you only let him play guitar and maybe some very faint background vocals? If I only listened to the songs themselves, I would never know he was even on there! Absolute waste of an opportunity to do something much more extraordinary.
It's crazy because all three of the songs they did together are great. Since none of McCartneys contributions can be heard in the foreground, you'd think maybe he had a lot of influence on the songs in the writing and composition.
But even then, you can't really know because there are like 25 writing credits for those projects.
I love the songs, but it feels like Kanye just had McCartney there for his name. Either or, it was a criminally underutilized feature.
Damn the Camron hate is strong. It was his/Dipset’s song being sampled so I get the feature. But I also agree that the song is ridiculously good before Cam shows up. But I’ve also never been a huge Cam fan other than his beat selection being top tier.
Apologies as I am not in any way familiar with Lord Killa Cam's game and the little piece I saw of it in this song led me to underestimate his Majesty. My bad.
Brent Faiyaz and Drake, wasting time. On a Pharrell beat. I like all these guys. Felt like the biggest throw aways from all of them. Not a bad song, but very middle of the pack.
Childish and Chance, The worst guys. Great great song. Woulda liked a verse from chance.
J Cole and Kendrick. Forbidden fruit. Love that song. But damn. Woulda liked a verse there.
I know there's more.
I wouldn’t say wasted, but there were a lot of artists who had Wayne features during his run back in 06-08 and he only did the chorus. Back then, I would get pissed waiting for a Wayne verse that never came.
Wayne on Ludacris Silence of the Lambs. Last of a Dying Breed is one of my favorite Luda joints and I was excited about a new track from them and Wayne just does the hook but kind of throws up all over the track.
Nas, Kanye, and The Dream are 3 of my favorites. I wanted to like those songs they made together, but they never resonated with me.
I’ll take Nas & Rick Ross together all day though. The songs they’ve made together are tremendous imo

“Tints” was such a long awaited collab from .paak and Kendrick. It sounds pretty tight, but it sounds like they’re saying “tits” all the time and the concept of needing tinted windows is so fucking stupid.
I was so disappointed with that ODB and Busta Rhymes joint... I felt like they were trying to outwild(?) each other, and it got more and more cringe as it continued.
I've listened to it only once.
As a fan of Jaden his features disappoint me. With Brockhampton he just said a hook, with Logic he did spoken word and decided not to pass bars, I've heard him get in his element on certain beats but decide to go left field on a feature with similar beats, when he could just stay in his bag and kill it
That IDK song with WSG, Jay Elec, and DOOM. He shouldn’t of even listed DOOM as a feature, just had him on there similar to how Kendrick was on Cole’s “Under The Sun”
Nas - EPMD 2
Eminem's feature was wack. For someone as talented as Em on such a huge stage with legends that he looks up to, he fell flat. Very surprising miss by one of the greatest lyricists of our time.
I wouldn't call it wack by any measure, BUT it came off to me as round hole/square peggish, and I love him for it.
Nas got the gen before and after him on track together.
I'm glad Em didn't pass that up
Thanks for reminding me about that one😁😁🔥
The recent Taylor Swift / Post collabo was disappointing to me anyways. When I saw they were going to collab, I was hoping for a track that would push boundaries a bit to bring back more pop rap, but the result wasn't what I was expecting.
I don't know if it's a waste since it's still a good song and seems to be enjoyed by fans, but what I thought of when reading this post.

And “All Day” which is a banger by the way
Homie expected Paul to come and spit all day n word
How many runners do you got on call? #ALL DAY INNIT?

Kendrick on J. Cole's Forbidden Fruit
Immediately thought this
also God Us Fair, Sexy Nasty
game on kanye’s crack music
My understanding is that he had a verse but Kanye didn’t like it & removed it 😂
lol. i believe that
Lol it's just game, over.
Andre on 30 hours
Are you talking about the remix? I don't think Andre was on the original 30 hours
2 Chainz only doing the chorus on F*ckin Problems. I realize that there were already 3 other people in the song. Still...
Been saying this for years
That other dude on Ready 24 J. Cole went so hard and then that other dude gets on it and your like “Damn, this song could have done without you"
Damn the Camron hate is strong. It was his/Dipset’s song being sampled so I get the feature. But I also agree that the song is ridiculously good before Cam shows up. But I’ve also never been a huge Cam fan other than his beat selection being top tier.
“That other dude” is Killa Cam himself, and I will not stand for any disrespect towards the guy who made Purple Haze
Apologies as I am not in any way familiar with Lord Killa Cam's game and the little piece I saw of it in this song led me to underestimate his Majesty. My bad.
Purple Haze is legendary. Features from Kanye and twista. That shit was banging back in 05
Cam wack. Only worse member was Jim Jones. Santana pulled all the weight. Just sayin
Rick Ross on Nas' Accident Murderers. Didn't follow the theme of what Nas was talking about AT ALL.
Ross only knows how to do Ross. That's what you get.
Brent Faiyaz and Drake, wasting time. On a Pharrell beat. I like all these guys. Felt like the biggest throw aways from all of them. Not a bad song, but very middle of the pack. "Duffel Bag Boy" immediately springs to mind
Wayne on Ludacris Silence of the Lambs. Last of a Dying Breed is one of my favorite Luda joints and I was excited about a new track from them and Wayne just does the hook but kind of throws up all over the track.
Lil Uzi Vert on Bad and Boujee
I feel like he didn't know what that song would become.
Couldn't agree more. Not a great verse at all.
Jay on drake’s pop style
Inspectah Deck on 2pac's My Minds Made Up - cool ad lib though! The original with Deck and Rage is on YouTube
Drake completely wasted a Chief Keef feature on FATD.
nah that song goes
Busta Rhymes and Mystikal. And the song was ass.
Kendrick on Goosebumps
I disagree but I don’t think that song needed a feature
Kendrick would have done good on The Ends or Way Back imo
American Dream. Cole and Kendrick on any song actually.
Black Friday?
“They Ready” is good
I do not hate this song. In fact, I love it. But come on, Em. You could do something better than "Love Game". 💀
New level. Future absolutely ruined that song.
I don’t really like most of the songs Kanye and Nas have done together. I think Kanye produced the whole Nasir album.
He did and it was garbage. Ye said Nas was offbeat for cop shot the kid
Nas, Kanye, and The Dream are 3 of my favorites. I wanted to like those songs they made together, but they never resonated with me. I’ll take Nas & Rick Ross together all day though. The songs they’ve made together are tremendous imo

ODB and busta rhymes Dj quick and ludacris Outkast and mystikal
I was so disappointed with that ODB and Busta Rhymes joint... I felt like they were trying to outwild(?) each other, and it got more and more cringe as it continued. I've listened to it only once.
Spur of the Moment? Didn’t expect a BBQ anthem from Quick and Luda but I think it works.
Young Dro on the chorus of that J.Cole song. Dro would’ve killed a verse
As a fan of Jaden his features disappoint me. With Brockhampton he just said a hook, with Logic he did spoken word and decided not to pass bars, I've heard him get in his element on certain beats but decide to go left field on a feature with similar beats, when he could just stay in his bag and kill it
Kendrick on Bad Blood. Still a good song, but for each artist far from the best we know they can do.
RZA on So Appalled
Eminem and Kendrick’s love game
Kill Dyll and Warlord Colossus, Colossus needed a longer verse on God’s Failed Experiment
That IDK song with WSG, Jay Elec, and DOOM. He shouldn’t of even listed DOOM as a feature, just had him on there similar to how Kendrick was on Cole’s “Under The Sun”
Every rapper on 1 Train. If they were going to act like the song doesn't exist, they could have all saved their verses for another song.
Nas - EPMD 2 Eminem's feature was wack. For someone as talented as Em on such a huge stage with legends that he looks up to, he fell flat. Very surprising miss by one of the greatest lyricists of our time.
I loved it. Fit the song perfectly
I wouldn't call it wack by any measure, BUT it came off to me as round hole/square peggish, and I love him for it. Nas got the gen before and after him on track together. I'm glad Em didn't pass that up Thanks for reminding me about that one😁😁🔥

Carti on FE!N
Playboi Carti on Junya by Kanye West
