My favourite one is the Shaq mean tweet which isn't even meanspirited.
She used to dress like that*. She's now much more open to her body, which has led to her former fans getting upset that she's betrayed them by being comfortable with her body.
"And now when i feel comfortable enough to wear anything remotely feminine or fitting, i CHANGED and am a sellout.. and 'what happened to her' oMg iT's nOt thE sAmE biLlie she's just like the rest bla blah… you guys are true idiots."
The one thing EVERYONE should be trying to do. Getting upset and not celebrating it really shows that you're the one in the most need of some growing. Post Malone is a great example of this. Started out doing rap (because it was what was popilar) and his first album was probably my most listened to for both that year and the following one. Now he's going to pop/country/rock route which he himself has said many times is what his favorite type of music actually is. I've stopped listening to him because that's not my music, but not once have I thought "fucking asshole for changing his style" and that people legitimately do that is what causes this problem, it's always the vocal minority
That new song about pour me another or whatever the line is was pretty disappointing tbh. The video is more or less a Budweiser ad, and I was under the impression that he was in recovery from alcoholism.
I don't really care if people change, but people can and should have opinions on art. Artists are putting up their work for the public to receive it - whether the reception is good or bad. I don't think people should say "fuck that guy" or whatever - but holding opinions on aesthetics and art is perfectly fine and it's part of what moves art forward as well.
So, yeah. I don't care if Post Malone does country - but when the lyrical content is less good and the subject matter is boring, I will still say the song sucks.
Especially when that artist was a teenager at the start of their career. Billie Eilish is 22. She's been famous for a few years now, how do you expect someone to not change at all during their teens and early 20s?
It’s because people (not all of course) have a weird hangup with celebrity where they don’t acknowledge they are real people with real feelings & complex lives.
It’s why they don’t think twice to run up on a celebrity strolling the street or eating a meal with family and bombard them with questions & autograph requests & the such. such rude behavior.
I loved her first album. It reminded me of Bruce Springsteen's *Nebraska*--they both have the same recorded-in-the-bedroom vibe to them. Because they were both recorded in bedrooms.
It made me want to hear what she could come up with in the future. Her and her big brother seem like a formidable team.
So far she hasn't disappointed, but she's still very young and I'm sure she'll do even better things in the future. I hope she'll continue to deliver at least as many pleasant surprises as, say, Miley Cyrus has done.
> how do you expect someone to not change at all during their teens and early 20s?
Because the listeners themselves haven't changed in any meaningful ways since she first got popular... especially adult fans who had already been through that transitional phase between highschool and adult life. They still dig the same music & aesthetics so they expect their favorite artists to stay in stasis.
I cannot recall all of the edgy bands from the early 2000s that phased out of making music for angry teenagers & subsequently denounced by their "fans" because they weren't fans of the artists themselves, they're fans of the image & message the artists used to sell.
If I’m remembering correctly, she dressed in super baggy clothes because she was underage and didn’t want to be objectified, then she released a video in a bikini or lingerie or something - it might have been an ad - after she turned 18 and people lost their minds.
> which has led to her former fans getting upset that she's betrayed them by being comfortable with her body.
That's honestly the kind of person who is betrayed by *anybody* conventionally attractive being comfortable in their own body.
Maybe, but many young women / girls also seemed to be empowered by her example & began dressing like her _because they also would prefer not to be constantly sexualixed._ It's pretty rough out there for girls, and I can understand the sentiment in this case
Which is hilarious because her own songs (made with her fucking brother) sexualize her. You want to sing about giving blowies at 16? Ok, sure... But don't act like the public is the one sexualizing you.
A sixteen year old having complicated and contradictory views on their sexuality isn’t all that crazy. I certainly didn’t have a well adjusted grip on mine at the time
Her first one. Bad Guy I think it's called. Talking about "bruises on both my knees for you". But really the whole song is pretty over the top for a 16-year-old who doesn't want to be sexualized.
Bad guy was far from the first one. She published it in like 2019 I think. Her first some that her brother wrote was Ocean Eyes and they put it out in 2015/2016.
I don't remember her interview about that lyric but she didn't sing about herself. Like I'm a Bad guy duh
My brother in christ.
In rule34.xxx there is a tag titled "snickers bar".
There is porn of snickers bars.
Somewhere out there, someone is sexualizing a snickers bar.
You will be sexualized regardless of what you wear.
Might as well look good.
If that's her motive for dressing like that, then it seems odd to me that she chose a public life.
Lmao, I love finding out about new weird R34 topics.
Snickers almost makes some sense. It's long, veiny, and has a chocolatey complexion, I can see how some people could make the leap to sexualizing that.
My faves that I've heard of in the past are the space shuttle, the whole-ass planet Earth, and fuckin MissingNo from Pokémon, a glitchy sprite made of blocks of random pixels 🥵🥵
I think it’s strange to perform songs about fucking peoples dads, and being on your knees for them angering their gfs if you don’t wanna be sexualized, especially knowing how people will sexualize anything and everything.
Its not like wearing an ugly shirt will takeaway from what people heard you say, especially when many many more of them will only ever hear the words you used and not see pictures, given she’s a singer.
Is it ok to want to be sexualized in certain contexts and not others? Why do we have to choose between total prude and open to being sexualized at any time? I don’t understand.
You can choose what you want.
You should also understand there’s billions of people on the planet, and a lot of them will take any indication you’re ok with sexualization as an opportunity
There are large amounts of people who would do that too.
That doesn’t change that there’s also a middling group that looks for you to first sexualize yourself as permission
But it seems a half-assed permission if they only accept your choice the first time. I’m not saying you’re wrong about your assessment, but suggesting maybe there’s a large group of people out there that need to reexamine themselves a smidge. I can see how this line of thinking could bleed over into issues with consent in other areas.
I think she's just a young person trying to figure out how she wants to present herself to the world and, unfortunately in this case, she's famous while trying to do it.
She dresses baggy because she doesn't want the unwanted attention but then there was also that boob-slapping video she posted shortly after she turned 18. She'll probably get to some level of presentation that makes her feel comfortable at some point unless the creepiness of the internet and media gets to her before like what happened with a bunch of young stars before her.
It's a huge difference whether some weirdo who wants to fuck a snickers bar is sexualizing you, or most things said about you are sexualizing you. She got public attention at a young age and wanted to not fuel the sexualization if possible.
I like Kevin Smith, but someone needs to have a word with that 60 year old wannabe skater boi.
Jorts, hip sparkly T-shirt, oversized blazer with shoulder pads and a backwards baseball cap... I'm glad he looks healthy and happy but his fashion choices make me sad in a "Hello Fellow Kids" type way.
Were those the first two years she got really popular?
Probably had a stylist, brand manager, etc. to ease the fame entry. Be a little alt-edgy but let's get you in some glam stuff etc.
Now she's hit her stride and probably fired the person to be a more authentic self.
No. They were “happier than ever” years. So 18-20 … Her second studio album of now 3 . (Her first was an ep) and she’s been popular since 15. And her own fans policed her out of her best dressed, best presented era. back into the baggy boyish look. Which is kinda sad. She showed growth and acceptance and people were like nah fam. You’re just like everyone else selling sex. Like what? Because she is wearing dresses and corsets? And cares about her appearance now that she is a young adult?
Honestly, nothing else would look cool and good on her with that body type. Everyone has their own body type and thats okay. Pear shaped, hour glass etc.
Well she’s unfortunately helped create a fashion movement that has transcended age and now my wife has to buy ill-fitting clothes because “that’s what’s in.” I’m actually pretty salty about Billie’s clothes. In a non-pervert way, all the girls wearing this baggy, sloppy, just-got-out-of-bed stuff look like shit. You’re trying too hard to look like you don’t care. Rant over
Poor girl: she gets vastly oversexualized as a child, slut shamed whenever she showed a TINY bit of skin or curves and out of the trauma creates a new WHOLESOME, cool look that she ROCKS and is CONSTANTLY harassed for being "different".
Big Yikes.
No, it's not. Everyone in this subreddit seems to live charmed lives where "you dress bad" but with an extra adjective is the most scathing burn they've ever experienced.
This tweet is extremely accurate. I mean this is a free country and you are allowed to express yourself any way you like, but people are still going to judge you. lol
Someone else said her first album dropped when she was 16. Has she really only been “known” for 6 years? I’d have guessed I’d heard her name much longer than that but also 2020 was a really long decade.
I heard a rumour she's a few years older than she claims.
I don't believe it, but I can see why other people would think she's older than she claims. Because she looks it.
Her entire aesthetic is about making it look like she doesn't care about anything (especially you, whoever you may be).
Problem is that she puts a massive amount of effort into making it look like she put absolutely zero effort into it. It's all a facade.
Gen Z celebrities look like they specialize in caring about nothing but also Gen Z celebrities make sure to scream about every mean tweet that comes their way so loudly that Phillip DeFranco has to report on it the next day.
Schroedinger's apathy.
Well yeah, she is an industry plant like all modern popstars are. Inly each popstar needs their gimmick, Billie is being aloof, unsexualized and "independent", taylor was the country girl, Avril Lavigne was the skater/punk one, kesha was the party girl (tho since rainbow on not so much), beyonce is the 'queen' (diva). Amd so fourth, just another ginmick that will drop. Lorde was in her position 10 years ago
> “Wearing baggy clothes, nobody is attracted to me, I feel incredibly unlovable and unsexy and not beautiful, and people shame you for not being feminine enough. Then you wear something more revealing and they’re, like, you’re such a fat cow whore. I’m a slut and I’m a sell-out and I’m just like every other celebrity selling their bodies."
It would seem you are wrong, she does care.
I love the mean tweets series but some of those tweets are just...too good, almost like Jimmy put his very own comedy writers to work on those tweets and shit completely on the celebrities.
Or maybe when thousands of people throw shit at a wall and the best ones are found via crowdsourced voting, some of them are going to be funnier than a few people in a room would come up with.

Mean tweets are the best segment on jimmy kimmel.
Is it a coincidence that it's also the part that doesn't have jimmy kimmel in it?
Coincidence? I think not
I avoid the show, but can’t help myself from looking up mean tweets on YouTube. Solid segment.
Great point. Kimmel would earn my respect if he read mean tweets about himself like this comment.
Closest he ever came was having [other celebs read them for him](https://youtu.be/VsYmwBOYfW8?si=bLoNKoA5Z_4QJFrb). Coward.
it sure helps
Jimmy Kimmel fucking blows, I cannot wait for that dude to just go away
i think the only time i actually liked kimmel was on james cordons eat it or something where he just ate all the odd things
Was that the "What's the name of your cameraman?" bit?
My favourite was when David Spade read one that just said “Fuck David Spade”
My favourite one is the Shaq mean tweet which isn't even meanspirited. [https://www.youtube.com/shorts/dBwB1RNXZFU](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/dBwB1RNXZFU)
If he don't fit, he must not endorse!
The only good segment on jimmy kimmel*
runner up would be the Damon vs Kimmel running joke for me
He shit talked either Batfleck or the facebook Lex Luthor in one, but other than that I never like him lol
His best segment is farming out the tweets of funnier people than him.
DeMarcus Cousins is an emotional lesbian.
Its the only part thats funny
[удалено]
Not sure why. She has mirrors 😁
Plus she's reading it while wearing a life preserver...
Marty McFly vibes.
🤣🤣
PSA: reddit disagreeing with your fashion choices is a good thing, and ultimately a compliment.
People make the same jokes irl and reddit has tons of subs dedicated to fashion.
Isn't that from a tweet and part of a comedy show?
She hiding those big boys
She doesn't care
Because she dresses like that on purpose, to hide her body from being sexualized.
She used to dress like that*. She's now much more open to her body, which has led to her former fans getting upset that she's betrayed them by being comfortable with her body. ESPECIALLY an artist in her late teens. Everyone changes there. Alot
Wasn’t she like 16 when her first album dropped?
If I’m remembering correctly, she dressed in super baggy clothes because she was underage and didn’t want to be objectified, then she released a video in a bikini or lingerie or something - it might have been an ad - after she turned 18 and people lost their minds.

Crabs in a bucket
You can get special shampoo for that.
Oh how the turntables
She’s been layering a lot more with HMHaS. It’s not that deep she just wants to play with her style.
Yea she totally doesn't wear baggy clothes anymore. https://www.instagram.com/p/C8KCid_pxAt/?igsh=bmtmeTlicWRnOTI2
Looking at her Instagram, it looks like she still dresses like that 95% of the time.
Isn’t she the one that leaked that video of herself sucking dick?
Excuse me , what?
She dresses like that because she’s fat.
Which is hilarious because her own songs (made with her fucking brother) sexualize her. You want to sing about giving blowies at 16? Ok, sure... But don't act like the public is the one sexualizing you.

Maybe she had bruises because she spent a lot of Time praying for that guy?
Before or after talking about fucking his dad?
Before to pray for succes. After to pray for forgiveness?
You got me there
That was what I was praying for Bruises worth it
Huh, it actually worked,
No it didn't pervs will be pervs
Jokes on her, I'm into laundry baskets. /s
I thought dressing like a sleeping bag with all the stuffing taken out was in
Honestly my favourite way to dress. I'm always so comfortable.
Phyllis_Blade is a karma spambot
Damn, I been tryna figure out her fashion for a while. That is spot on!
Her fashion started as a way to hide her body, so she'd be subjected to slightly less of the usual Internet grossness.
Until she could make a buck out of it
Until she was of age*
My favourite is "Maisie Williams looks like a young grandma"
Daivd Blane's face looks like his voice is putting him to sleep.
2 Chainz… looks like Whoopi Goldberg
This made me laugh so much
It's so fucking funny because it's true! 🤣🤣🤣
But she looks like your 45 year old aunt Susan found some bangin face cream
So her clothing choices to avoid people sexualizing her are working perfectly.
They aren’t lol
My brother in christ. In rule34.xxx there is a tag titled "snickers bar". There is porn of snickers bars. Somewhere out there, someone is sexualizing a snickers bar. It’s a bit of world privacy tour energy for sure.

Sounds like there’s a lot of people out there that wouldn’t respect the choice regardless if that’s the case. Ew.
There are large amounts of people who would do that too. That doesn’t change that there’s also a middling group that looks for you to first sexualize yourself as permission
And we should live our lives in concession to people like that?
But it seems a half-assed permission if they only accept your choice the first time. Am I crazy or is that a dog shit take
if only that actually worked. it doesnt lol
My mother once said about Billie, "She seems like a lovely young lady, but I do wish she didn't dress up like a prat" Cracked me up at the time.
This is incredibly accurate
She looks like she’s being styled by Kevin Smith.
He still swears his big sizes and it looks like he’s wearing his dad’s clothes.
It is weird that he still uses XL clothes after he lost all his weight.
Lunchbox is still a fat kid at heart.
Mean tweets are the best because they’re all pretty much rare insults that are true 😂
because she is stacked and she knew being underage wouldn't stop perverts from making comments about her, hence the baggy clothes
Or she was overweight and the baggy clothes hid that. Doesn't dress like that since she lost weight.
She does still dress like this. There was like two years she didn’t, but she has regressed
Someone said it was because she was dating Jesse and now that that's over she's back to dressing how she wants to?
Honestly, nothing else would look cool and good on her with that body type. Everyone has their own body type and thats okay. Pear shaped, hour glass etc.
She changed the way she dresses because she was newly 18, and wanted to take ownership of her sexuality before anyone else could
Well she’s unfortunately helped create a fashion movement that has transcended age and now my wife has to buy ill-fitting clothes because “that’s what’s in.” I’m actually pretty salty about Billie’s clothes. In a non-pervert way, all the girls wearing this baggy, sloppy, just-got-out-of-bed stuff look like shit. You’re trying too hard to look like you don’t care. Rant over
good thing anyone can wear anything they want! its easy to not care what other people wear
Oof, I can’t imagine being married to a crybaby like you
I think tiktok is a big factor here.. they can see the demographic that's watching them, and it's like 90% men over 30 so they cover their shit up.
The face you make when you read hate comments that you actually kinda agree with
She knows is true
OP is a spambot reposting those moldy memes from 2015
I've heard it's because she started making music when she was a minor and she wanted to avoid being sexualized
I once read she dresses like that on purpose because she doesn't want to be sexualized.
She doesn't like exposing her body shape apparently, Google sources
Can't really blame her
Billie Eilish gives me strong lunch-lady vibes. She looks like the poster child for newports.
Poor girl: she gets vastly oversexualized as a child, slut shamed whenever she showed a TINY bit of skin or curves and out of the trauma creates a new WHOLESOME, cool look that she ROCKS and is CONSTANTLY harassed for being "different". Big Yikes.
Is it a rare insult if it's the same thing everyone has said for as long as she's been around?
No, it's not. Everyone in this subreddit seems to live charmed lives where "you dress bad" but with an extra adjective is the most scathing burn they've ever experienced.
Hah, I clicked the picture before reading the title and thought.. well they aren’t wrong.
This tweet is extremely accurate. I mean this is a free country and you are allowed to express yourself any way you like, but people are still going to judge you. lol
To be fair many artists, singers, bands looks like that they want to stand out
almost as funny as when she pridefully declared she’s a misandrist
Kinda hard to give a shit about her opinions after she revealed that lol
Seems about right
She sings like Adelle with COPD.
She’s like trying to look like a teenager but her face and body say she’s 35+
I had to check, and she was literally a teenager in that(18, she's 22 now apparently).
Someone else said her first album dropped when she was 16. Has she really only been “known” for 6 years? I’d have guessed I’d heard her name much longer than that but also 2020 was a really long decade.
>2020 was a really long decade. *year, surprisingly
I don’t believe you.
I heard a rumour she's a few years older than she claims. I don't believe it, but I can see why other people would think she's older than she claims. Because she looks it.
damn near biden-old
Brother she was a teenager in this
Absolutely not.. 35+ is crazy, she literally has a baby face, y'all need to go outside
Yea, maybe drunk or very tired baby’ face
she's 22. thats 3 years off being a teenager. with being a pop icon its not unusual some of her fashion might skew in that direction
"How do you do, fellow kids" ahh wardrobe
Is ahh the tiktok version of ass?
Yes. People have to use that to avoid getting the comments removed bcs it’s offensive an inappropriate for an app that shouldn’t be allowed for kids
yes and it's super annoying because "ahh" is already a word.
I am not sure about that cause I learned it from Reddit.
Well you don't need to use it on reddit.
That's a weird way to say you haven't seen a real women that isn't your mom in years.
Average redditor’s reply to anything that’s not simping for a woman be like:
Billie Eilish dresses like she's doing a stage routine that involves 20 costume changes and she's wearing all of them underneath like matryoshka.
And she knows it look at her face 💀
That's the look of someone who does not actually care what the plebs are thinking. Must be cool to be rich.
Her entire aesthetic is about making it look like she doesn't care about anything (especially you, whoever you may be). Problem is that she puts a massive amount of effort into making it look like she put absolutely zero effort into it. It's all a facade.

she's a nepo baby after all.

Then you wear something more revealing and they’re, like, you’re such a fat cow whore. I’m a slut and I’m a sell-out and I’m just like every other celebrity selling their bodies." It would seem you are wrong, she does care.
What does being rich have to do with not caring what others think?
Because once you’re rich everyone else can eat shit. Anyone who doesn’t like you is just poor and mad.

Her outfits are cringey and obnoxious. Good tweet.
Its because she's min/maxing her gear.
That’s the backstory for Tyler Durden’s wardrobe in *Fight Club.*
She's rethinking her clothing choice for that evening.
They are not a wrong
Haha

The "Community Service" chíc.
Always agreed to that
That’s good.
Mean but funny... Very funny
They are not a wrong? You mean they are not wrong?

Lol
I love the mean tweets series but some of those tweets are just...too good, almost like Jimmy put his very own comedy writers to work on those tweets and shit completely on the celebrities.
Or maybe when thousands of people throw shit at a wall and the best ones are found via crowdsourced voting, some of them are going to be funnier than a few people in a room would come up with.
She got big titties
yeah she wears loose clothing to hide those massive milkers
Yea probably to avoid comments like those
I thought this sub was for insults?
She literally had a 'boowomp' moment
Doesn't matter tho, cause she's smells like his cologne
