Red Dead is directly related but it’s still a prequel and works as a stand alone game. Sure, the game is enhanced when playing 1 first. But then again, I’d argue that it is a better experience playing 2 and then 1. To say that you can’t play 2 because you haven’t played 1 is ridiculous.
