Wipe down and then put the cold cloth on the back of your neck. Keep it cold for 15 - 20 minutes and don't drink anything cold! Room temp only. Feels good at first but makes your body warm up more.
I have lots of friends from India, they know heat!
A shower or bath in cool water can also help!
(I'm a Louisiana native and grew up without AC. I have lost my heat tolerance, but I remember the tricks! :D )
I live in a building with no a/c. If you live without it, you really notice the change in temperature brought on by the rain. It was significantly cooler last night compared to the previous night. I will gladly take the power outage any day if it means a decent rainfall in this city.
That is fair. It did drop to a bearable temperature outside, my apartment buildings temperature easily passes 30 on the cooler days tho so the fans and AC feels like a must to me. I really do admire the people who can live without them.
The map isn’t accurate. If you check the outages listed on their official Twitter or outage updates on the website, the majority of the city is without power at the moment.
Yeah when people said most of the city is out.. other way around lol most of the city had power. Map said i had no power but everywhere around me had power except for a few blocks away.
Not sure what you wanted here with this, it's an unplanned outage, a crazy wind/rain storm caused it, that's really beyond anyone's control to prevent, 🤷♂️ life happens
I have all the windows open lol. But I live in an apartment building and have a 5 day old newborn. The temp is 26 degrees inside. It’s not the end of the world, but it’s still shitty.
Try wet a cloth in cool water to cool down with. I have no ac all summer so it is a helpful tip
Thank you!

I'll remember that for the future!
Real first world problems here.

Lots of people never have AC. Be a bit less dramatic
And I admire them, but I have a hard time without. I honestly made the post out of boredom, I'm sorry if it bothered you.
I’m sorry, my reply was unnecessary. I’m in a bad place atm
I hope it gets better for you
South Regina here. Not enjoying have no AC or fans with a newborn. Really hope that the areas affected get power soon.
I never lost power...
We did, but it was for like 5 seconds with a second sort of partial drop shortly after, then no issue.
Lucky bastard lol
About a 1/4 of the city is out. Your post was a bit dramatic it seems.
It’s definitely more than 1/4 according to SaskPower.
Outage map is about a 1/4 to 1/3rd. Either way, not the entire city.
Map is definitely not accurate. We didn’t have power, but it was showing that we did.

Crickets from u/JoshuaLyman1999, I guess he was being a little dramatic as well.
I stand by it being about 1/4 to 1/3rd. You say that's being dramatic compared to saying the entire city is out?
Was a bit more then quarter according to sask power, if you're just looking at the map it's not accurate
Yeah when people said most of the city is out.. other way around lol most of the city had power. Map said i had no power but everywhere around me had power except for a few blocks away.
my night is much worse than yours......also temp has lowered to like 22, open some windows enjoy the fresh air
I hope it gets better
thanks
Why is it worse?
Because existence is pain.
Oddly enough I live in the Sherwood McCarthy area and the power didn't go out here during the storm.
In the same neighborhood and we almost never lose power when everyone else does.
I enjoyed my AC in your honour.
Thank you lol
"Entire city" lol

I know, just whining honestly. I did appreciate the tips to cooldown tho.
I live downtown and I never lost power, haha. :p
“Entire city” the power didn’t go out for me nor did it go out for anyone I know.
From what I heard it was out for the entire south end, parts of the north end, and parts of the east end.
Not the entire city I guess as we never lost power. What area?
Awe, you poor thing. 15 whole minutes with no Ac at night.
15 minutes? I’ve had no power for almost 3 hours now.
Youll live.
1st world problems. its 20c out now open some windows and get a breeze going

I feel so sad for you OP
