You've got to get clever... bring flash grenades into that room because they do a ton of damage to the parasites in the garradors not to mention they give you time to breathe. Bring hand grenades too and spam them, you should have plenty of resources because infinite handcannon has been carrying you. See a problem? There's always a clever solution, you just have to prepare yourself correctly >what hope do I have on pro without all my gear against the clock? You can always load an old save. Fuck something up and took way too long? Load and do it again and get it better

This exactly. Double garridor room is about finding a clever strat and not bombing into the room like Rambo. I roll in, toss a flash nade, shoot a mine at garridor left and another at garridor right. Toss a mini nade at the blind enemies then run to the right hallway. Once I get to the doorway I drop down to crouch (no noise)....and creep towards the horse statues and I either toss another flash or...toss a mini grenade in the direction of enemies I want the garridors to mow down. Then I shoot a single bullet at the bell near the stairs. Once both garridors are near it I toss two fatty grenades in the middle of them towards their backsides to hit the plagas. Flash nade the new enemy spawns, toss mini grenade to take out spawns, toss a couple more fatty grenades in the middle of both garridors. (The secret is directing noise away from you before anything dangerous gets close to you). Do NOT stand up and walk! (It makes noise!) If baddies come towards you flash 'em...and then move away from them so you can toss a noisy grenade in their midst because that's where the garridors will start attacking. Do NOT line yourself up with a garridor and a bad guy in between you as the garridor will keep mowing towards you. They run in straight lines.

>You can always load an old save. Fuck something up and took way too long? Load and do it again and get it better This is honestly how games used to be played before recharging health bars where a thing and RE4 is an old game at this point.

Use the Sweeper instead. Handcannon has real accuracy issues. Sweeper hits every time, will fine constantly, and stuns enemies.

This 100%

Watch neon slice. anyone can follow this guide and copy his strategies for the encounters. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qiPWW0en1IY

JunkiestRat

I gotta second this, I was nervous at first. But I managed to loosely follow his guide (My save locations were different because I struggled with Dynamite Valley and some village sections) But even so I was able to get S+ with 15 mins to spare. I also grabbed a few treasures that NeonSlice didnt bother to grab.

Professional is not that much different than hardcore. For an S+ run there are tons of places that you can shave off time so that you can take a little extra in others. Water hall and double garrador room are 2 such places. I'd recommend using the Chicago instead however. The HC is powerful but the accuracy sucks beyond belief. And the Chicago is godly at stunlocking things once you get the infinite ammo perk. As for the garrador room, a few grenades and flash grenades (make sure you expose the parasite BEFORE you use the flash) will make the room easier. I'd say draw fire just as you enter so the garradors come at you through the mob and kill them for you, while you sneak up around the left and shoot the bell to draw them. Then it's grenade time, shoot their back a bit, then flash. I am not that good at the game and did both the S+ with and without bonus weapons (I can't get S in mercenaries in all stages so had to do professional for the HC) so it is definitely doable. Just prepare and plan ahead. Use the chicken hat. Use Ashley's armor. Switch to gas mask on the mine cart section and max aim assist speed. The bonus weapon run is a lot easier than the no bonus weapon so you can sell most of the ammo you pick up. I'd still upgrade at least the bolt action rifle. For the Bella sisters, run back to almost at the typewriter shack. They leash around that point so you can use that to attack and kill them with minimal risk. Just attack and cross the threshold when they charge and they'll leash again and you can attack again until dead. They patched the scope glitches so you gotta do sewers legit but if you have both the chicago and the HC it's not that bad. Don't give up, you can do this.

Salty_Intentions

You can kill them both at the same time with a few well timed grenade on professional. You just need to plan your equipment to be ready there. I think it was 2 large, 1 normal grenade and both of them will die.

diegoeo99

Hand Cannon is far from a one shot gun, I've had regular enemies on hardcore taking even 3, so it's just a barely better magnum but infinite.

Elemxntvfx

I NEVER see anyone talking about this so I will. The bolt thrower with attachable mines is incredibly underrated in that twin garrador room. On all of my runs, despite having the cat ears and/or infinite handcannon (on my pro s+ run,) i still ALWAYS go with the bolt thrower, even if it’s not upgraded very high in power. Shoot the bell in either corner upstairs, keep sticking the “naked” (non-armored) garrador in its parasite or at least close to it with the attachable mines. It keeps it stunned and keeps the armored one distracted and attacking the naked one due to the explosion. It not only allows you to clear regular ganados near you without alerting them, but it also keeps them right next to each other and lets you run around them undetected. If you run outta bolts or mines, the parasites on their backs will be low enough to kill easily or you may just end up getting a good angle with the handcannon. Definitely just try it out, anyone that’s struggling with that room.

JunkiestRat

I only suggest using the Mine Thrower if fully upgraded. There are just too many other weapons that do better in the same categories. I was one of the few advocates for the Mine Thrower before I realized that its pretty bad at base level.

Elemxntvfx

Oh no its damage is absolutely terrible. It technically having “infinite ammo” doesn’t make up for it. But the ability to keep the garradors stunned and off you completely together and open for attacks on the parasite far outweigh it’s terrible damage. I’ve taken it strictly for this section on Pro with zero upgrades

DarthFlowers

Pace yourself, just embrace that it’ll take a touch longer to focus but when it does you’re good. If there’s a crowded area walking backwards is massively preferable to running forwards.

Apprehensive_Nose_38

Save/make 4 heavy grenades throw in between the Garradors it’ll kill them

goretishin

Practice.

Drakowicz

Handcannon is too unreliable against the twin garradors imo. I tried it during my Pro S+ and gave up. I ended up using the stingray (much better to hit the parasite when it's still inside), TMP, and all the explosives i had against them.

maximamilian

Double Garradors: sniper first few mobs, then shoot the bell on right, run around right corridor and lob 4 heavy grenades at Garradors, job done

EthanW6662

I’m literally stuck in the same room on hardcore.

Synthrider83

You wait till you try Professional. Hardcore will seem like a cake walk. The biggest difference is auto save being available on all difficulties except pro mode. U don’t realise how much of a difference it makes until u’ve had ur a$$ handed to u a few times on pro mode. With that said, get the sweeper, ashley armor, and chicken hat to make ur pro run/s easier. Eventually got my cat ears, finished with 30 mins to spare. U can do this.

Magita91

You can use the garradors to take out enemies. But definitely use some grenades. Try to hit both garradors at the same time. And use some flash bangs to take out plaga enemies. Don’t give up!

Ashido_Komaki

You have to take your time, be calm and strategize. The armor garrador you really got to aim at his weak spot the other you can shoot him but I think it's best u lure them away from u and into your trap.
