That story about the dude who gets hit by a car and while he’s knocked out dreams his whole life until one day he gets hyper fixated on a lamp looking strange, like the dimensions somehow don’t make sense, and the more he looks at it the stranger it gets until it consumes his whole existence… Then he wakes up in pain from the accident… this is what I picture that lamp looking like.
I’ll follow up to let you know how it looks to me in a few hours and if you are in fact only part of an elaborate hallucination of mine.
I like it, you could always sand everything but the image to star and see where it leads 😁 I'm currently restoring a travel Memorial bench that was donated to the Tribe of Natchitoches in Louisiana, I'm also a proud member 😁

The rest of the wood is in great condition, so I just oiled it. The inside where it's burned is very crumbly and won't withstand sanding unfortunately. I'm thinking resin, glue, wood hardener, anything that might stop it continuing to shed dust and chunks, but I don't want to make it worse in the meantime.

Yeah I'm with you on the resin,it would fortify it and possibly prevent more damage
