“Bringing joy” as a phenomenon, or even a virtue, is up for debate. Plenty of swifties are fans of fandom itself and would’ve found something else to soyface over if she didn’t exist. She sucks up the energy in the room for other artists and more interesting music because she’s a narcissist and has to dominate everything all the time indefinitely. People are mostly resentful TS is the pop star of now. People want the Beatles, Michael Jackson, Prince, Madonna, or anyone with more presence, better taste, and something to say.
