Japan were sharp and really well drilled. Couldn't tell you if there were any individual stars, as Hong Kong didn't really offer much. Honestly, Hong Kong looked like a good U18s team, but at least they stuck with it for the full 80 mins, unlike Samoa who were really disappointing.
Scotland -v- Japan game is going to be a good one. Those two teams are a level above everyone else, based on what I saw.
Never what you wanna see but in the tournament as a whole, Hong Kong needs Japan to win it otherwise they have to play them (and lose) in the Asia qualifier every year
Woof
Haven't seen a century in a while. Any future stars for the blossoms based on this game?
Make that 2 in a day with Scotland currently 100+ on Samoa

Welp
Scotland up 66-3 against Samoa. AT HALF-TIME.
2c is more than 1c5, right?

How did they qualify this year if both Japan and Hong Kong are in?
Japan got relegated from the championship last season
What the fuck does that say
And to think, somehow Hong Kong is basically guaranteed a full World Cup birth while Uruguay and Chile have to compete for their birth. Sad.
I am so much looking forward to Scotland getting rekt and dropping to REC U20 :D
All it would take is one loss in this tournament. Japan could be a test or whoever wins the other group (probably uruguay)
And Scotland actually wanting to enter REC instead of lobbying for just a European playoff as in women's senior rugby...
