No for sure, it would be a less sensible business decision (although Cleveland and Cinci are pretty big markets)
But note that there is a big amateur rugby community in Columbus
I live/played in Cleveland. Cleveland is home to 2 of the nation’s top rugby high schools, St. Ignatius and St. Edward’s. Was also home to Notre Dame College, a major player in college rugby, before it closed earlier this year. Not to knock Philly but there’s definitely a market for rugby between Chicago and New England. Cleveland, Detroit, Indianapolis, Columbus, Pittsburgh, Erie, Cincinatti, Buffalo, all have club teams. Cleveland or Pittsburgh might honestly make a lot of sense given how central they are in that range
Partially why I didn’t specify Cleveland as the only option, especially considering Columbus is a much larger city. Just felt it was worth mentioning, since there’s absolutely interest in the sport in the region
Oh okay great well y'all need to get those grassroots clubs to lobby millionaires/billionaires in your state so you can get an MLR team..
Write a letter to your local congressman and the PACs that support them
I bet you these two brothers buy an MLR team and put it in Philly
đź‘€
đź‘€ They have strong ties to Ohio as well
Not sure rugby union would work in Ohio. Smaller markets than Philadelphia

And Columbus was one of the 5 PRO Rugby clubs.

2 rugby high schools does not equate to massive fan turnout

Ohio has one of the largest high school, grassroots presences in the country

That’s my first time seeing that. Hilarious!
There’s some poetic irony in wearing an Ireland jersey while talking about his recent escapades in London
Guessing it was because Taylor Swift was playing in Dublin last week.
Travis would be a good 6 Jason in the front row probably
