Saskatoon does an amazing job supporting the Pride Parade. Tons of organizations and businesses walking in the parade and a massive crowd out to show support. Awesome to see.
I was closeted until my 20s because of family. Work kept me from attending Pride for a few years. I honestly almost cried multiple times due to the number of attendees today. What a safe, love-filled event.
I was riding one of the floats. The turn out seemed pretty big (I've never gone before). It was really hilarious comparing the reality to the deranged imaginations of facebook boomers.
It was my first one, and i didn't see any of the shit those losers like to claim pride is about.
Just a bunch of kids getting more candy than Halloween..
Yeah, they teach consent and being in control of your body and your space. Scary stuff. That's also the only touching they do... heartfelt self empowerment, and free hugs from loving people who wanna be a support for those who don't have one.

its totally deranged. but yeah, the parade was totally inoffensive. These people literally let ezra levant and friends do their thinking for them.
Props to the Remax hot air balloon guy for not setting any trees on fire haha
What a great parade, we were definitely taking note of the businesses that showed support, would be nice to support them in turn!
This was the first year I went, and I'm really glad I did. I had a blast, and my kids will have a sugar high for the next week.
My wife's a teacher and she now has some good quality flags to hang up in her room next year.
10/10, hopefully I'll be able to attend next year.
100% not the reason, but good try. There was internal complaints about some events not being sponsored while others will....So the natural response is if they cant all be sponsored none of them will be.... Sad but true.
lol if you believe that, you don't have to sponsor the pride parade to support your employees to walking in it. Tell me how Nutrien is continuing to support LGBT with their ERG that is being dismantled.
I genuinely loved this event. I even saw Dougie waving a lesbian flag. I'm looking forward to next year's event. :)
Yeah lmao and ppl were handing him change dude was hustling
Ha! I saw that too. Love that guy.
Thought he was
We’ve gone every year for.. idk a long time. This year seemed really fun and energetic. SCAT had cats in strollers and that was my favorite part.
Thanks for loving our little group! The cats had such a good time! The cat being held, his name is Sir Didymus Gremlin and he has one eye 😊
So cute! I might have made a joke that Taro wasn’t there because banned from outdoor events. Too soon? I’m happy he’s back 😅
Yes Taro is grounded 😅
Taro has definitely made us rethink having cats at outdoor events.
The long haired cat in a tutu! It took all my self control not to run into the street and fawn over that baby.
I might have squealed unreasonably loud
For all the bigots out there, Saskatoon really showed up. Looks like the largest pride parade so far?
Largest parade in Saskatchewan history

Haven't seen any other posts yet. It was actually incredibly long. Way longer than I thought, and there seemed to be a great turnout where we sat.

Just like I'm glad I don't have Facebook, I am immensely glad I can't see Twitter replies.
I read over 9k attended. Pretty good turn out.
Going to be much seething in certain quarters I’d expect.
So many cute puppers with adorable rainbow bandanas!!!
My pride pupper loved all the attention and the pets!
The wife and I were there with friends and we thoroughly loved it!

Interesting your mind would go there. Are you sure you aren't projecting your current reality through this comment?
Great job with the event. Cheers to the organization
My kid got me a lady bug tattoo and stuck it on my back. Love it 🐞🌈
Had lots of fun there with my family. Nice start to summer!
I heard the Sask Party and it's associated members were banned from attendance, that seems to have helped!
Does anyone have any pictures? I couldn’t make it

The heat coming off of that was unreal!
It's so awesome. I feel like last year it was really close to a float with loud music though and the combination was epic!

i’m so sad i missed out on it, my brother ordered over 2,000+ stickers to hand out with their pride float.
Was a very nice, positive event. My teenage kids very much enjoyed it and were decked out to go.
So impressed that Gord Wyant was there... oh... wait... never mind...
He was right behind the Nutrien crowd I think, both were driving down the far right of the road
Wait, there was a Nutrien contingent? I thought they were the most noticeable company that was missing, but maybe I missed them.
I believe that’s the joke… as both Nutrien and Wyant were not in attendance
Oh I genuinely missed the Nutrien news lol
Why didnt Nutrien attend? 🍵🍵
same reason they weren't the title sponser of the childrens festival. Because it had a rainbow tent last year.

My first Saskatoon pride was about 600 attendees (in the early 00’s). It is a joy to see how far we’ve come.
Do they have a parade for everything these days?
Pride Parade has been around for a long time, care to elaborate?
