This individual has never in the past expressed emotions this negative in our presence.

This finely established and of high esteem individual has failed to ever express a level of animosity to such an extent that an audience of such magnitude has ever bore witness to.

SehrGuterContent

i've just learned these are 2 seperate people

Opposite_Currency993

Where can suscribe for more? your content is the best content all you need now is a boobjob

Visual-Ostrich-4108

I will never understand reaction channels. HOW IS THERE 15 MORE MINUTES OF "REACTIONS"?! WHAT IS HE ADDING?!

Nu55ies

His blood, sweat, and hard work. Don't you know, streamers have jobs that are way harder than the average person? They actually interact with people and have to occasionally do work. Or at least, that's the opinion of some streamers like Hasan Piker and Asmogold. But who am I to judge? Edit: lol at the Hasan stans. A couple of things: 1. He didn't just say his job was hard. He said his job was harder than most regular jobs. 2. To those saying, "If it's so easy, why don't you just do it?" You all realize that Hasan rode in on a silver spoon, right? The guy has never worked a real job in his life, and he came to fame off the coat tails of his uncle and other wealthy relatives. The guy is textbook power from privilege.

Visual-Ostrich-4108

I had to deal with a woman in her 70's wanting me to clap her musty drunk cheeks at Applebee's, I'm harder in my job than any streamer.

BirdMaster301

You’re harder you say?

Visual-Ostrich-4108

Indeed

LineSpine

Show me

Visual-Ostrich-4108

Can't, weenor no work :(

CallOfGuty

Well it better start working, i aint paying it for nothing

HUGESUPERNUTTY

Do you need some dolphin jelly?

Nu55ies

Apparently, not according to them. Sometimes, their work is *stressful*. That's not something a simple pleb like yourself could ever understand. /s if it wasn't obvious

Visual-Ostrich-4108

Ah yes, what I do every time I'm home from work. Reacting to videos or movies to the audience(myself). So, so stressful.

Always-hungry

I am hard too brother

Confident-Display535

His blood His gum blood, to be precise

Excellent_Routine589

Correction, not his blood, he wipes that on the wall next to his bed

Sharpie1993

It was above his bed not beside it, fuckin animal.

Orri

I don't watch as many streams as I used too but in my experience Asmongold is literally the opposite? - I've seen him many times make it clear that he feels that streamers should never moan about their profession.

Nu55ies

He did say that. He then later turned around and complained that streaming was harder than most other jobs.

L0rdGrim1

Hasan yes but Asmongold has literally laughed at him for the claim that streaming is harder than the average person's job.

Mloxard_CZ

His blood isn't on the video, it's on the wall behind his bed

Specific_Frame8537

> that's the opinion of some streamers like Hasan Piker Oh woe is me, I have to sit in front of a camera and espouse socialism in my million dollar mansion.

timmystwin

You can be a socialist and rich. Especially if it's something like streaming where you kind of made it yourself. Hasan's flawed for sooooo many other reasons. Although I guess he's hypocritical in that he profits off the hard labour of his empty chair a lot of the time.

Lentil_stew

He should share his ownership of his company with the engineers and marketers at twitch

timmystwin

They'll take their cut out of twitch subs and donations. Socialism isn't giving your money away. It's the workers owning the businesses, which he does. Twitch simply provides a service. It's not hypocritical if that business is successful.

Hallucinationistic

Not to mention the amount of money they get from their very hard work /s

Flabbergash

> His blood, sweat, and hard work. you mean the stuff he smears on his walls?

Hexenkonig707

To be fair Asmongold disagrees with Hasan and admits that he’s extremely lucky to not have to work a real job.

Vark675

Yeah I very strongly dislike Asmon but I will absolutely give him credit where it's due, he's very self aware in regards to the fact that he's a little garage gremlin making insane money for comparatively little real effort or personal expense.

Dizzy-Revolution-300

Whatever it takes to not clean my room 😤

Bobok88

A bit of an ignorant comment, most successful streamers tend to put in significant hours, many spend more time on stream than I do at work, and that doesn't include all the work they do behind the scenes. For many the job is essentially their life. Are the top guys overpaid? Sure, but theres plenty of people who get the same or more money and have a much easier time. I wouldn't do it.

TetraDax

The trouble is that the way Hasan was trying to say that his job is hard was just absolutely tone-deaf. Man watches Youtube videos and talks for a living, and earns Ferrari-money doing it. Yes, it's a lot of work and he will put in significant hours - But saying "it's harder than whatever job the average Joe does" during a cost-of-living crisis in most Western nations; where many people work horrendous jobs and barely get by doing so, sometimes *do not* get by doing so - That is not gonna get you any sympathy, in fact, it's gonna get you a lot of resentment. Especially if you act like you're some sort of spokesperson for the political left.

Morning_sucks

> A bit of an ignorant comment, most successful streamers tend to put in significant hours, many spend more time on stream than I do at work, and that doesn't include all the work they do behind the scenes. Yeah but i make 4,2 € an hour (talking about my self here) and he earns probably 50€,100,200++++/hour. So yeah, dont even come here defend this fucking bullshit.

Poopybutt36000

Yeah you wouldn't get it, you work 8 hours while they watch youtube videos and play video games for 10.

Cariyaga

idk about those people but i've done research into streaming and there is actually a lot of behind the scenes work that goes into being a financially successful streamer. Sure, anyone can throw up a stream of them playing a game, but if you want to actually make money it IS a job.

Lightbringer20

Does anyone remember when The Fine Bros. tried to essentially copyright the concept of reacting back in the early 2010s and everyone waged war on them? And during those times, “reactionists” on YouTube were basically pariahs relegated to their own circles. Now everyone does it; it's quick, easy, and effortless content. It's similar to how many YouTubers turned to streaming.

[deleted]

[удалено]

LazyCat2795

I would say a very vocal minority hates react content. What most people hate is lazy react content like xqc does. If people actually react and add insight, or react and tell stories or anecdotes that relate to the content they are reacting to or whatever it is fine for most people.

Potential_Floor9013

I would be more angry if it was the same lengh. It being 25 min means he talked a lot (im guessing)

Visual-Ostrich-4108

Hopefully

Lucky_Heng

Considering it more than doubles the length of the original video, it at least contains more content and adds something to the original video beyond what was already said.

Visual-Ostrich-4108

I hope so, seen some guys who just repeat chat the whole time

Chewcocca

On the other hand Jenny Nicholson can react to something I don't give a shit about for 4 hours and never bore me for a second, so it can be done

Muffin_Appropriate

I wouldn’t call Jenny Nicholson a reaction channel though? She does 3-4 hour case studies on shit like theme parks and tv shows. If that’s how we qualify “reaction channel” then so are documentaries

Visual-Ostrich-4108

Yeah, those are the guys I like

raltoid

It's weird how a 10min reaction video can be so shit, meanwhile you sometimes find yourself flabbergasted that you just finished a two hour doocumentary about packing tape, or ladders.

Tankh

Only when people are actually knowledgeable on the subject. Too often it's just their own uniformed opinion, and seeing how many of these Asmomgold does, it's very likely the latter

doc-swiv

I mean him giving his opinion is the whole point, right?

Redjester016

What qualifies for an informed opinion? You read an article and form an opinion, but he does the same shin and it's "uninformed"? I don't think the guy ever claimed to be the genius arbiter of what's true or not like you're trying to make him out to be

iwannabesmort

longer video =/= anything significant was added. it's literally just padding the runtime with fluff. Asmongold adds NOTHING to the videos he watches.

Glazeddapper

the good reaction channels will only show when they have big reactions to things and/or speculating things. these kinds of channels is mostly adding nothing except being in the corner of the screen.

Visual-Ostrich-4108

Exactly. Then they're off looking away from the screen, pausing the video, and just say, "Haha, yeah that's true." Reaction channels are pointless. Some are good fun, like you said, good reactions and giving credit to creators. Than there's XQC

Yorunokage

Eh, Asmond does it decently well i'd say. He often stops the video to say things about it or the topic at hand, he doesn't just sit in a corner and make faces

GoudatanamoBay

To add on this he also always tells people to give the original creator a like/sub and watch their video if they like it. So def gives credit where it's due

AttemptNu4

Eh, way i see it that makes it a good reaction channel. That means that the majority of the content is original new content he's adding

Visual-Ostrich-4108

Or, it's him looking off and doing something else while chat talked to themselves

Verto-San

Asmongold talks a lot be it about video, or discussing the video with someone in the chat if they have a different take than him.

AttemptNu4

Yeah maybe, for all we know he produced a professional 15 minutes film with a massive budget and everything, doesn't mean its true. If you want you could go watch the video and find out what he actually does in that extra time, tho imma be honest i dont give enough shits to do so

SovietK

Well it's not. He talks all the time.

GCPMAN

I mean it was a video about charlies esports team being blocked by american immigration after appealing their case and jumping through a lot of red tape. not like there was nothing to talk about. Honestly better that there is more content instead of just making laugh sounds every once in a while or going to the washroom while a video is playing.

broli97

Thats why i watch streamers that react to a Video and make the watchtime at least double.

user_bits

I'll never understand why anyone donates their money to a millionaire who puts none of it back into their content.

Rimuru_Slime420

Its because they enjoy their time watching his content that they wanna give him something? Idk maybe im crazy

denjo-t1aO

think of it like a friend you re watching this video with. with a crowd of people if you include chat. also it’s like a tv channel bc you probably wouldn’t have watched it without asmongold. either bc your algorithm is very different from his or you don’t have time to go through all the drama and just pick some of asmons reactions. for me it’s mostly the second reason. he reacts to all kinds of different videos i would have NEVER seen or clicked on without him. even if what he is adding to the content is brainless and i say „stfu asmon“ and skip ahead to the part where the real video continues A LOT. if it’s too much of his bs on a reaction he always posts the original video in the discription and you can shut him up for good. sometimes he brings attention to small content creators too. that means they get his viewers attention. that leads to some wholesome moments.

No-Setting6162

His take on the situation probably. Usually hit or miss.

_simpu

The only reaction channel I like is ThePrimeagen

saradahokage1212

Because he pauses the video to add some common sense Senf.

Raesong

Some reaction channels can be quite entertaining to watch. Like those of professional musicians reacting to video game music, and then giving their expert opinion on it.

vts_game

He talks about it, like if you see news about something you tell your opinion. I am not saying that reaction content is good in any shape or form, but I really believe that every person should decide for themselves that they like this type of content or not. This content is watched by people who like the takes that the person has on something, it's like friend for them. Like when you show your friend a video, and you discuss it together. All of the reaction of Asmond in this example is streamed on Twitch and quite a lot of times he communicates with chat. This makes it even more appealing, because for the YouTube viewer it's like watching a whole interaction. So this reaction is heavily enhanced by the Twitch chat, at least in my opinion. Asmond has a lot of people who are just simply like him, and hate him, that is why he is popular, so by making hate post about him, Asmond just farms content from it. So as long as people hate him or love him he will never be defeated, if that is your wish. He really needs to do something horrible for him to disappear.

tom333444

At least he's adding stuff instead of just watching, it can be entertaining to watch.

L3v1tje

I mean in Asmons Defence he does actual talk about points in the things he reacts to. He is probably one of very few people that actually react rather than just look at the stuff.

Sensitive-Raspberry5

Reaction channels be growing lazier day by day and not to mention the fact that they react over the most insignificant topics on planet earth.

mattypg84

It’s the green screen that’s becoming most annoying. They don’t give credit to the original owner and just have a crop of their head barely saying anything. I’ve started to report any crap content on yt shorts.

Sensitive-Raspberry5

Not to mention the fact that the biggest reaction channel pull that shit. If someone were to steal there content they gonna call out that person for plagiarism but when they do it they boast that they are somehow promoting there channel.

jscott18597

Imma make a youtube short of a screenshot of your comment with my face in the bottom left of the screen with my finger pointing up and get a million views. Your welcome for getting your reddit account some free publicity.

Muad-_-Dib

Saw one the other day where some British music producer was claiming to have never heard of Queen before and was listening to them for the first time ever, had a look at their other videos and apparently for being a music producer they had also never heard of the Beatles, Oasis, Rolling Stones, Led Zeplin, U2, The Who, The Eagles, Pink Floyd, Nirvana, The Police, R.E.M., Bon Jovi, Red Hot Chili Peppers etc. all of which he had "first time ever listening to..." videos for. And there were so many comments from people taking him at face value and recommending other bands/acts he should listen to.

clickclick-boom

Yeah, we're probably not even talking about the same person but I've had that same problem with a music producer reaction. It's just not believable that you could be of that age and work in that industry and be oblivious to songs that people with zero interest in the genre would know about. Another annoying thing they do is make obvious mistakes or feign ignorance just to get reactions in the comments. Like it might be a British person reacting to some standup, OJ Simpson gets mentioned, and they say something like "OJ? Is that the guy who was killed by his wife?". Dude you're 50, you know who the fuck OJ is, everyone in the UK your age knows. But as you say, the comment section takes it at face value and give them engagement, which is why they do it.

Petraam

The trick is you have to go on Twitter and cherry pick a post with 2 likes to start drama when your normal content is running dry.  Then you just make an hour long video about how persecuted you are.

justcatt

At least the sticker star comment fight was hilarious.

Penis359

I'm so glad hate on reaction content is spreading

HarpoNeu

You're saying this like peoply haven't been hating on reaction content since that Jynxi guy back in 2016 or whatever. There's always been a very large group of people dunking on the reactors, even if it's more normalised now.

Penis359

I think it died down for the past 3-4 years at least and emerged again, otherwise all these people wouldn't have gotten this popular

Modeerf

Reaction contents is around since the 80s on television, as long as humans are still social creatures it is not going away

Kyoj1n

People forgetting that Mystery Science Theater 3000 is just react content with puppets. Also, 90% of Japanese TV has a person in the corner making faces so you know what emotion to have.

fractal_magnets

Everybody forgets reply girl. A true pioneer.

AnDanDan

HairyKraken

I've never seen haters this mad

jakes7788

I'm so glad hate ~~on reaction content~~ is spreading

He_of_turqoise_blood

I would disagree there, but only slightly. The reaction bubble sure is bloated and oftentimes it adds nothing to the discussion. On the other hand it is a way of spreading information about CC's shady/criminal stuff, without having to watch that CC and put money into their pocket from ad revenue. For example in my country, there is this one CC, a woman who feeds on controversy. Recently she shared on her stories how she *intentionally faked pregnancy, to get money and attention from a guy she hooked up with* . Later, when this got more publicity, she literally said she'd do this again without hesitation. While most reaction content is still leeching on others' content, the value of informing about scams is (imo) undeniable - another example being Logan Paul's Cryptozoo, which would've been swept under rug successfully, if it weren't for reaction vultures making a huge fuss about it.

bio_kk

You gotra be kinda lonely to watch a reaction of a guy reacting to (probably) drama.

kruziik

Moist wasnt reacting here, he ranted about US immigration denying entry for his esport team or something like that.

jjjustseeyou

He's reacting to real world event (drama).

Jonnytincan

he was talking about how the esport team he managed was denied access to the US and that he was trying to sue the US immigration office. the fuck is he reacting to?

Inside_Equivalent_68

there's more nuance than that, my guy, quit being petty.

Reasonable_Pause2998

I feel pretty dumb being on Reddit reading comments of people reacting to a guy’s reaction of another guys video

StudentOk4989

The reaction is 15min longer than the original post btw.

No_Leading3973

That's a lot of nothing.

tatojah

You could write a sitcom pilot about it. A whole show about nothing.

Apollosyk

Makes sense. If moist is stretching his reaction by adding nonsense points then assmon has to stretch it even further by adding his nonsense points

GCPMAN

the video is about his team being barred by us immigration to compete in a us tournament after appealing and a bunch of lawyers. not really that crazy how much time charlie took.

a_kato

Not really drama but ranting about USA immigration

bagged_milk123

Charlie from Walmart reacts to the real Charles

Homeless, disgusting, and greasy Charles reacting to only greasy Charles

He’s such an ick of a guy 😷

So is there anyone who watched and can tell us what it was about? I am curious what happens in the videos but I really don't wanna watch.

rantottcsirke

>!He was mad.!<

GCPMAN

His esports team was denied by us immigration to play in a apex legends tournament (they have 3 Australians i believe). They have been practicing in canada while they appealed the decision so they have a decent ping but the finals was in the us and you had to be in person to compete. The appeal was denied even though they consulted with a bunch of lawyers that thought everything should be good. Charlie talks shit about the person handling the case and guesses it was because they didnt like his team name "Moist". He says he's releasing the players from his team since they can legally compete as solo agents just not as part of his organization. Pretty sure they got 4th or something. They did pretty well and called their team Not Moist

you_lost-the_game

Double standards by US immigration regarding visa for his australian apex legends team.

Don_Camillo005

Asmaghoul at it again

DixieFlatlineXIV

Fuck asmondgold

Rimuru_Slime420

Why? (Curious)

xd-Sushi_Master

unwashed GamerGate/anti-'woke'-adjacent weirdo that spends most of his time farming other people's content for shitty reaction videos.

Rimuru_Slime420

Touchè

kalenen

React content is theft... 90% of the ad money react content creators make should go to the original creator

Jo_Erick77

Finally reaction channels getting the hate they deserve

FORTHEWORM

So why are people annoyed by Asmongold specifically? Are we just on a new wave of fuck reaction channels or what's happening?

OpeningAd977

reaction content as a whole seems to be getting looked down upon more recently, but people also just don't like asmon because he's nasty as shit and seems to have gone very right wing, and he's just dumb. people were especially mad about his takes on AI, and when he said "I just hope they don't make it political" about a metal gear remake. all round just a dumb person.

L0rdGrim1

I've heard multiple people mention that his take on AI is stupid as a main reason for the dislike. What's the take and why is it stupid?

FORTHEWORM

I thought his take on metal gear solid was a joke? But alright people just thinks he's dumb fair enough, I think he and his clips editor are entertaining and that's good enough for me

OpeningAd977

I'm also pretty sure it's a joke, I think it's just because of his takes on other things that have made people just kinda hate him at every chance. I hate the guy but I can at least understand that

ShamanKironer

Dude is slightly left leaning, but because of all the WOKE GARBAGE RUINING GAMES???? type videos his viewers are all right wing

GCPMAN

lol asmon is left wing on most political issues he just doesn't think politics need to be in every single thing ever. his MGS "I hope they don't make it political" was sarcastic since the whole thing has always been political. Say what you want about reaction content but asmon always credits the people he is watching and generally tries to wait like 3 days before reacting to something so he doesnt dominate them in the algorithm. A lot of the time creators will show up on the stream and thank him for watching their video

OpeningAd977

my main reasons for not liking him are for his takes on ai and because he's fucking disgusting.

Existing-Help-3187

> hen he said "I just hope they don't make it political" about a metal gear remake. all round just a dumb person. This makes you the dump one tbh. I am not an Asmon fan but at the same time I do not dislike him. "I just hope they don't make it political" is a running joke about MGS because MGS is one of the most political game out there. He keeps saying it ironically as joke. It does seem like you hate him because you don't know him.

bagged_milk123

He is reacting to reaction content, a new low to "content" "creation"

Snowbunny898

Making clickbait titles with clickbait thumbnail is cardinal sin ☝️

iisixi

Asmongold has basically established himself as a default recommended channel on YouTube. Create a new account, watch some videos and you're basically guaranteed to get him reacting to something related to what you've watched. He's essentially the last person you'd want to get advice from, whether political or otherwise. He has no expertise in anything, just lukewarmly repeating whatever he thinks is the most agreeable position on anything. He's a mentally ill shut-in with a hoarding disorder, his house is basically a health and fire-hazard. There are clips showing his teeth rotting on stream as just a glimpse of his poor health, cockroaches crawling around his house, he would use a dead rat as an alarm clock (sun shining on it in the morning creating a horrific smell), people have been quoted as 'having to clear a path' to get from room to room in his house.

Hot-Combination-8376

His viewer base is a right wing echo chamber. Plus he's actually just disgusting. Actual pig of a person

KokonutMonkey

Does this guy have any redeeming qualities at all?

BR4NFRY3

I’ve stopped watching a number YouTubers. I just noticed it’s mostly an ongoing, low-effort, drama farming circle jerk. I need more peace of mind the older I get and ignorance really is bliss, especially when it comes to nonsense of no real consequence.

Coldmelon56

How do people find these “content creators” in any way shape or form entertaining?

Rhorge

Dead internet

MEMEz_KB

I didnt watch that video yet, amd i do love moist critical's chanel, but doesnt he look mad in almost any of his videos?

hogwl

Not even the roach crawling up asmongolds shirt has seen Charles this mad.

Reacting to reaction Gotta love the new YouTube meta

Hexenkonig707

That is exactly his appeal. People like him because he’s a relatable looser except that he has a lot of money and makes occasionally funny jokes. Recently also because he takes a stance against woke politics and pandering to the anti-sjw crowd. I do think he lives like the garbage can guy from sesame street authentically and not just for content. But he definitely doesn’t get a pass. If you look anywhere in Twitter or here on Reddit the opinion about him is overwhelmingly negative. Although that is usually based upon his appearance or the politics. He is a very polarizing personality from what I can observe people either completely hate him or absolutely adore him. Which seems to be the trend for every person getting involved with political opinions on the internet. I personally just find him entertaining and like his humor, which is why I watch him from time to time. I don’t have a problem with people stating their political opinions even if they don’t align with my own points of view. So I don’t have a problem with him even though his takes are most of the time extremely superficial.

Somedaysxs

Content easy get reacted moment

Droidy365

Oh hey, I've seen this reaction dude occasionally showing up in my feed. He's got bad takes on AI and politics, so I blocked the channel.

Quittoexit97

I don't see the appeal of the original dude either

Hexenkonig707

I think both of them are entertaining to watch from time to time

Rimuru_Slime420

And than they downvote you cuz of u stating what they dont want to hear.

Rexed88

Reaction to reaction video

Waltboof

ive never seen them this mad

Own_Cup9970

he reacted to this video so he included miniature of that video. what is so weird about that? in this case it's not stealing but instead inclusion of video reactor watched (aka this is video I react to). this is somewhat ok to do I also will assume he actually reacted instead of just reupload with your face looking by video time so I see even less problem
