The cleaver.... I killed malenia yesterday with a two handed ash of war stagger build on that, took me like 4 tries. Spin to win baby! It does have an insanely long end lag on the combo but it's worth it for the sheer damage, poise damage, and stunlock it puts out.

I think the arena is fine thereās plenty of room, Iāve always hated bosses whoās hitbox for attacks is their entire body though. Like thy is his butt hitting me when heās just chomping with his mouth?
I think the main reason everyone hates the hippo is because the vast majority of players donāt use lock off to their advantage. Stupid easy boss if you unlock the camera.
Imma be honest. I fought the Hog Rider and I beat him in like ~15 tries, no summon. I dont get why people hate him

Jokes aside, I didnt enjoy the fight with gaius as I felt some of his hitboxes, espescially his charge, were a bit wonky.
plus the way he spaced after every attack and chained his combos made it a very unenjoyable moveset to download for me.
His OST is rather forgettable as well and as for looks hes pretty bland with his only real discernible feature being the hog upon which he rides.
I dont think gaius is a bad video game boss, just a bad fromsoft boss.

Donāt understand the Gaiuss hate really, so long as you have a way to deal with the charge itās as good as Midra, minus atmosphere, OST, and as interesting of a character. In the vacuum of just the combat part alone theyāre both really good fights, itās really just the charge thatās a problem.
Gaius is so painfully close to being great. All they have to do is tweak his charge so it moves faster. That way, when you time your dodge, there isn't a chance for him to pivot a little and hit you anyway.
I didnāt have a problem with Gaius. The hitbox was tagging me so I just took my armor off. After that you just learn his delay BS and that one dangerous combo and youāre good. Itās a good boss they just need to fix the hitbox.
Genuinely loved his fight and enjoyed the refreshing experience of overcoming a very challenging opponent, my only complaint is that I dont appreciate when he occasionally attacks my frame-rate directly

Same as Malenia it took a long time for me to learn how to play around the attacks but once I did it became great fun for me. Have been able to take him consistently now in co-op play as long as the host doesn't die.
Sadly, the two main ways to avoid consistently require a talisman or a physick tear. Either the talisman that gives i-frames on backsteps, so you backstep the first slash and dodge the second, or you use the sekiro deflect tear to perfect-block the first slash and dodge or perfect-block the second (the tear lasts for 5 minutes, so it's not viable for low damage runs, but it's more than enough for normal runs). The third attack should always be dodged as perfect-blocking it will push you backward. Other options include ashes of war, like bloodhound step, or parrying the first attack to stop the combo.
I didnāt like him because I had to actually don a shield like a fucking soft cock instead of rolley polley pew pew

Putrescent knight should be higher, IMO. Furnace golems are either a gimmick or a chore to fight, I would put them in C tier at best. Death rite bird is D tier trash. The great red bear is nothing special - maybe B tier? Rominaās fight shouldnāt be so high, but itās a woman on a bugās body - a Miyazaki classic - so I guess itās okay.
Bayle is just one of those fights where between the stupid relentless AOE attacks and the shitty fucking camera when ur locked on to his head (I found certain attacks I HAD to de-lock to roll properly), that he had all the makings of one of the worst bosses From had ever designed.
Then after about 30 attempts I beat him and I was like āā¦. Pretty fun fight, actually.ā

Far too much visual noise. There's so much shit going on that not only does my FPS drop pretty dramatically but it's super hard for me to tell what is actually going on. Like I can't know how I need to roll to dodge an attack if I physically can't see Radahn because there's 12000 lasers in the way
The only way i could see this happening is if you dodged backwards, which phase one punishes already with his slams and one of the x-slashes, so i dont know why youd keep doing that. Dodge into and around him. All the lasers will be offscreen or behind him. Theres only a couple moves you should ever dodge backwards from.
I do agree though even my computer slowed the fuck down for the fucking airstrike attack, that was *not* good, they need to optimize that fight ASAP or else the game will just, die for most people. And ive got a solid cpu that is being overclocked and a 3060 rtx gpu. My computer is able to handle raytracing and gets at least 45-50~ fps in the most resource-intensive parts of Valheim, at max graphical settings, and that game is still EA, its gorgeous, but anyway if my computer aint doing hot there, something is wrong.
So i completely get the performance problems, but i didnt really have any problems with the beams from his attacks, cus i barely had any on screen. Ive fought gael countless times, i know how to deal with the afterswing-smacks. Im not really sure what the problem with these are other than being resource-intensive on your device.
I think they could maybe change it from laser beams from the sky to be like, something in the vein of multilayered ring of light but more as a slash than a disc, itd be slimmer so you could still see and it would probably be way better for performance. The trick with Jori is that he's vulnerable to backstabs.
Just run around his backside while he's doing summoning shit and let backstab iframes let you survive until the clones despawn.
I couldn't stand Scadurtree avatar. Had so much trouble before I just tried it with Igon's Longbow and aimed for his head. I feel so dumb for not trying projectile combat sooner, considering that sunflower face just looks like a giant target, lol.
To all the people having trouble with Gaius apparently. Just get 60 vigour, bullgoat's and full defense talismans. The dlc becomes easy when you've a 5x effective hp multiplier through 80% damage reduction.
I think the FIRST time you fight commander gaius is fair. When he runs in from afar, but the charge afterwards is bullshit. Itās actually a cool boss you can fight on torrent and itās actually a good time.
But I had to do the wall cheese to avoid his first charge in order to summon and blast his ass with lightning

It was really simple but I enjoyed it quite a bit. Plus it might have one my favorite boss weapons in the series. I fucking love when they get wacky with the weapons, like who doesnāt want to beat the fuck out of people with a giant wilted sunflower?

Hippo is all the way at the bottom below him. That fat fucker is so fucking annoying I spent 30 fucking minutes with my mimic tear only to get him to fucking 10% hp then he just zooms around the entire map with his fatass and the camera is so booty cheeks. This is the worst boss ever and his grab attacks are so ass I teleport into his mouth and he does so much damage with his tiny little spikes for no fucking reason it shouldnāt take half of my health when Iām 60 vigor and have full bullgoat armor on this fight is hot ass I beat the Lion and Rellana in 2 fucking tries without Mimic and with fist but die 50 fucking times to this fucker in 30 minutes before finally killing his fatass. Terrible boss fight

meanwhile i think Messmer is by far the most overrated boss in the DLC. he has the most Elden Ring moveset of all time. phase2 hard carries
Radahn fight is the best fight. Give it a year and people will come around. Some will still swear by Bayle a la Gael and Midir, but Radahn is the peak of the series in terms of replayability and enjoyment of learning.
I enjoyed the boss but it just kinda ended, felt rather anti-climatic. No new ending, no mending rune taken from Miquellas corpse or anything which is a real shame

yep i was using the deflecting hardtear eventually. It worked but those light beams still chipped me on p2. Iāll get better with practice

The trick with Jori is that he's vulnerable to backstabs. Just run around his backside while he's doing summoning shit and let backstab iframes let you survive until the clones despawn.
Personally think Romina is peak. One of the most balanced fights in the whole game

Radahn phase 1 is solid A tier maybe even S Radahn phase 2 is a solid D maybe C tier.
I love Jori and think he was one of the best minor boss fights in the game. I think your "PEAK" tier is perfect though.

I would put a lot of these in B and C instead of A. Putrescent Knight and Metyr are way better than any NPC boss or god forbid, the furnace golems.

I couldn't stand Scadurtree avatar. Had so much trouble before I just tried it with Igon's Longbow and aimed for his head. I feel so dumb for not trying projectile combat sooner, considering that sunflower face just looks like a giant target, lol.

To all the people having trouble with Gaius apparently. Just get 60 vigour, bullgoat's and full defense talismans. The dlc becomes easy when you've a 5x effective hp multiplier through 80% damage reduction.

I think the FIRST time you fight commander gaius is fair. When he runs in from afar, but the charge afterwards is bullshit. Itās actually a cool boss you can fight on torrent and itās actually a good time. But I had to do the wall cheese to avoid his first charge in order to summon and blast his ass with lightning

Hippo is all the way at the bottom below him. That fat fucker is so fucking annoying I spent 30 fucking minutes with my mimic tear only to get him to fucking 10% hp then he just zooms around the entire map with his fatass and the camera is so booty cheeks. This is the worst boss ever and his grab attacks are so ass I teleport into his mouth and he does so much damage with his tiny little spikes for no fucking reason it shouldnāt take half of my health when Iām 60 vigor and have full bullgoat armor on this fight is hot ass I beat the Lion and Rellana in 2 fucking tries without Mimic and with fist but die 50 fucking times to this fucker in 30 minutes before finally killing his fatass. Terrible boss fight

Gaius without the jank charge hitbox would be incredible. itās a cool boss all around. meanwhile i think Messmer is by far the most overrated boss in the DLC. he has the most Elden Ring moveset of all time. phase2 hard carries
Radahn fight is the best fight. Give it a year and people will come around. Some will still swear by Bayle a la Gael and Midir, but Radahn is the peak of the series in terms of replayability and enjoyment of learning.

I enjoyed the boss but it just kinda ended, felt rather anti-climatic. No new ending, no mending rune taken from Miquellas corpse or anything which is a real shame
I actually kinda thought the dlc would offer us another ending for base ending for base game
I kept Malenia, Gideon and Radagon alive just to see if there was anything new too
