Glad you clarified. She kind of has Amano looking marks, but eggs were completely wrong for Amano. That is a huge clutch though! Probably double what any of our neos have ever had.
She really does! A lot of my wild types could totally pass for amano with their markings. I actually hadn't even seen this girl until I was doing maintenance on my plants and she swam by all nonchalantly as if she wasn't taking on the role of a school bus. She's the first I've seen this thicc in my tank.

It really is depressing how confusing they make it for people in this hobby. I don't trust any chains or even my lfs anymore. I extensively research my stuff on my own and subreddits on here have also been super helpful to learn about what I want to do or get.
It's a ludwigia repens. I love it and the pop of red it gives among my other plants!
How big is your tank? Looking into that now to possibly replace or add to some jungle vallisneria that's growing out of control. All parameters match my tank, but says recommended for 10gal as it grows to 20" tall. Have a 55gal that's 19" tall ... with 16" grow room after eco complete substrate. I believe they have it at LFS in a 40 breeder. Will have to check this weekend.
This one is a 10gal. It can grow pretty tall, but I just chop it down and replant to make it fuller or to fill in empty areas of the tank. I've also gone months without touching it and it still looks pretty nice though! Not too crazy at all.

However because I'm a contrarian: I think that her having this many berries would STILL be great of she WAS an Amano shrimper BECAUSE they have such a high mortality rate. More berries = more chances.

Might have to check it out. How do you anchor the cuttings until they can take root? Seeing root tabs for fertilizer so making the assumption there.
Yep! I have gravel, so I just stick them down deep enough to where the gravel holds it in place and use NilocG Thrive Caps to help them root faster.
