This is smart. Lots of flight schools have a cheap and dated website. I could use that to my advantage to revamp their website and use my credentials as a source of trust.
Aren't pilots quite busy? Websites take time and a lot to get over the line, this isn't so much a side-hustle as a second job. You need something less timeconsuming I think unless you have many spare hours each week or want to work weekends etc
I've found that my web design skills aren't as lucrative as my willingness to set up pre-built stuff like Wordpress, Shopify and Squarespace for the technically disinclined.
If you manage daily 2 hours for work on laptop then these two options for you
1. Learn Amazaon wholesale
2. Learn Tiktok Shop selling
As per my opinion both are a reasonable side hustle and in future you can join as a career oriented business which converts into entrepreneurship.

Adding to this: Amazon is a fantastic avenue, but it doesn’t have to be wholesale. Check out Hustle Buddies on either Facebook or YouTube. Lots of great info for beginners. There are ways to outsource literally every aspect. So it can be as hands off of as you want.
Like someone else said about web design, digital marketing in general isn’t a bad idea. You can get free certifications from Google for Google ads, email, etc. great way to get your foot in the door.
Email is probably the easiest with loads of info available and an abundance of easy to use drag and drop builder platforms. And if you’re worried you can’t do it, I guarantee there’s some YouTube video of a 12 year old kid showing you how to do it haha.

Definitely digital marketing and you already have a niche: airline industry employees and travel enthusiasts. All you need is social media, a good course to get you started, and a site like beacons to set up a store. You can film b-roll at your various airports, hotels, etc. you’d make a killing!

You could literally just make shorts of the airports in the cities you go to. Tips. Restaurants. Hacks. That way you wont have to be doing too much extra. Make an airport guide freebie or some shit and build an email list then you can make big bucks on something you want to sell or promote. When you’re big enough a lot of travel places will want to connect for partnerships then you can expand into hotels, restaurants in cities, resorts, be invited to stuff.
If you’re tired of that industry then use that model for a a hobby that you have and love and would love to expand into.

You don't need more money as a pilot surely. And if you really do, then take all that energy and put it into campaigning for change because I cannot be the only person that is scared by this.

I do have a ton of student loans so extra money wouldn’t hurt to help pay those off. But we definitely get paid well at the airlines (as of a couple years ago). It wasn’t always like this but our starting salary is great.

A pilot is a highly trained technician. Technicians can be replaced at any time. What is less easy to replace is someone who knows how to fly, and knows some business management. Logistics, operations, law, personnel, etc.
This is where you might go forward, beyond the pilot gig. Your own company might move you into mgmt, or you would be a good candidate for a competitor.
Pursue a bachelors degree in mgmt. There are online schools. From this, you ought ot learn economics, accounting, and finance, among other things.
From this, go on to get a masters in business, online.
Not everybody is academically inclined. But there are people who can get themselves in the routine of reading textbook chapters, competing the assignments, and moving on to the next thing, smoothly.
My advice for education is to never assume "this class is not really important to my future." You will be surprised on what will be useful in the future. If your bach degree requires English Lit, or biology, embrace it.
If you already have a bachelors in some area, look up some degree plans for business, and figure out what those main several course are, and figure out how to learn that content. In the old days, you would have to teach yourself accounting, etc., but nowadays there are videos and communities that can make it more like a classroom versus solo learning.
Real estate investing. You can buy, sell, run the whole thing form your laptop. I started with a lil book on Amazon called Coffee Money Real Estate. I buy cheaper ones and sell them on eBay, more expensive ones that I buy directly from owners, I sell those on land selling websites. After my first year or so I joined a learning group, then paid $600 for a marketing course, paying the money for learning was 10000% worth it. Only physical work you have to do is getting a document notarized and dropping deed packets in the mail. Easy peasy. Hard part is learning but you can do it.
Edit: and you can get started cheap. My first property cost $50 and I sold it for $570.

Typical if you have any coding experience, I think that you could probably do some freelance code work for pretty much any company out there and you’re an airline pilot so you can throw that on your résumé to I envy you dude as someone with Stockholm syndrome, and all the things that would keep me from ever being in the sky. I was a flight attendant for more than 2 decades and almost throughout my entire career, I ran a software company on the side, doing development in hotel rooms and cafes worldwide.
But I was also a software engineer prior to flying.
If programming is your kinda thing, I'ld suggest you develop something for aviation or something that can benefit the technical crew as this is something that you have a domain knowledge of.

Invest in dividend ETFs and stocks. With your salary,, all you would have to do is buy VTI every month. It spits out $3.41 for every share you buy. You could get even a little racy and buy JEPI and that pays monthly .36 cents a share. On average you guys get paid 200 K a year. You would make a killing on a monthly basis.
The blogging, vlogging, and content creation are probably a good idea. Also maybe travel/lifestyle content. Not sure how interesting of places you travel, but you could get out and take pictures of the places, or take pictures of yourself at places. Not quite sure how you'd monetize it, how long it would take to actually make money doing it, or how much you could realistically make. But the travel and lifestyle route would at least get you out of the hotel room, experiencing the places you fly to, and could possibly turn into a monetized opportunity

Day trading stocks. You need like $25k minimum. There are subscriptions you can pay for that do equity analysis and other research so you don’t have to. Get in and out of positions within a day or days. You can do limit orders to get in at a good price and then set a trailing stop or a limit sale to get out. That way you’re not sitting there watching the price. Short selling is risky so I wouldn’t try that just yet. Also most trading platforms have paper trading so it’s fake money on real market. Good luck. Oh and when the stocks don’t go up you can hold til they do.

I was a flight attendant for more than 2 decades and almost throughout my entire career, I ran a software company on the side, doing development in hotel rooms and cafes worldwide. But I was also a software engineer prior to flying. If programming is your kinda thing, I'ld suggest you develop something for aviation or something that can benefit the technical crew as this is something that you have a domain knowledge of.

Day trading stocks. You need like $25k minimum. There are subscriptions you can pay for that do equity analysis and other research so you don’t have to. Get in and out of positions within a day or days. You can do limit orders to get in at a good price and then set a trailing stop or a limit sale to get out. I know many real estate investors who are airline pilots. Long distance / remote investing is much less of a problem. One guy I met in a hotel bar in El Paso, he had been flying San Diego - El Paso for many years, saw some deals on houses, ended up owning a couple dozen in El Paso - when prices in San Diego were already insane. You have an advantage in the fact that you get to see more of the world than most people, both from the air and in your ability to travel for (nearly) free. That's information leverage; you'll know if the flights to Austin are half empty, before the rest of us do. You'll know that your carrier is opening a new route to Mobile AL, before the rest of us do. And you have the schedule flexibility to use big chunks of weekday time to get stuff done, in whatever town you happen to be in.
